I have a contract and my son has a contract. We want to stay 7 nights in a 3 bedroom Grand Villa. If I were to book 4 nights and him 3 nights is it possible for us to stay in the same villa without moving for both reservations and if so how do I go about conveying that information to MS or the front desk. He has 4 children so moving around is a issue. TIA

Call member services and ask them to combine your reservation. They will take your request when you call. It may take a couple of days before you see the change.

Also when you arrive, mention the 2nd reservation. As long as both reservations are the same view/location you should not have any problems staying in the same unit. They would much rather keep you in the same unit, it saves them a full cleaning if you move.

AFAIK, MS cannot combine reservations from two different memberships.

@Bclcemen - I would call, chat or email MS and ask the CM to put a note on your reservation that reservation xxxxxxxx is a continuation of reservation yyyyyyyy. Then have your son do the same for the reservation made from his account. The resort will try to keep you in the same villa. This works best if both reservations have the same guests. Good luck!

We did this in Aulani with a friend. We did have to get new room keys because the reservation had two numbers. We were able to stay in the same Grand Villa.

You will need to have MS “link” the two reservations. As they are in different member numbers, they cannot be combined into a single reservation but linking the two reservations can assure that you will not have to change rooms.

Moreover, to assure a link will be easily done, make sure that all the same guests are on both reservations with their names set out and spelled the same in both (e.g., you should not name a Robert as a Robert in one and a Bob in the other). Also, it could be helpful to make one member, you or your son, the lead name on both reservations. That would mean that one member has both reservations and may be able to link them by calling without the other member on the phone. Moreover, that would allow both reservations to be put into the same MDE account for the trip.

I have two memberships and have done this many times. Tell them in chat, and they will put a note. They don’t want to pay to clean it, so I’m sure you’ll be fine.

You could also consider having one party transfer their points to the other ahead of the booking, so that it is all entirely one reservation to begin with.
