Connecticut DVC Owners thread?

Do you know if you had a standard legroom seat? I reserved a seat with a whopping extra 2" of leg room and hope it helps him.
I have no clue but I assume it was a standard seat since I didn’t pay extra when we booked.

Not only the concern for cancellations but cost! Going down in February and we had to switch to BOS flights due to big differences in cost! A first class AA one-way out of BOS was about the same as a JB out of BDL. Our April trip was nearly $2000 less out of BOS vs BDL!!!! I checked AVELO and it was as much as JB out of BDL. Admittedly these are prime travel week/wkends. I check for price drops every day.

Wow! Our Avelo flights were very affordable, $109 per person coming down and $99 per person going back. Even with a checked bag fee, it was under $950 for four of us with a checked bag each. Keep an eye on Avelo. They dropped our return flight to $49 at one point but I didn’t have it in me to call in and wait on hold to cancel the $99 flight to rebook the cheaper one. I wish they would let you do it all online.

It’s all about the dates….because of a 12 yo we are traveling during school break periods when prices are highest!

We flew home Friday (also via Avelo). Our flight was delayed by 2 hours but no complaints here. We made it, getting luggage was easy, getting to the car was easy. Hoping to book with Avelo again for our November trip.

The 1st College Tour is in progress! It ends tomorrow at University of Tampa, then we drive to the Poly Villas! WOOT! :cheer2: I'll check back if anybody has questions on what's happening at WDW this weekend.

Poly Villas worked super well for the three of us. Moorea water view. Fabulous! Mousekeeping ladies were very nice, and they did not hover to get in as we left.
Walked to TTC several times.
MK & Epcot pretty busy this past Sun&Mon. Beware DS lines at Chicken Guy! Wow!
It's mighty chilly at night everywhere near water, so bring layers if you're going soon.
Car Care Center: Great great service! Highly recommend for returning rental car and catching a ride back to resort.

We usually fly out of Bradley but the prices during April school vacation week this year are crazy! It doesn’t help that Easter is late this year. Ended up booking out of Boston. Got 3 tickets for what it would cost for 1 out of Hartford. Decided not doing parks this year. Between park reservations,Genie plus, cut backs, etc. just doesn’t sound like fun. We are using our DVC points at Vero Beach and then I have Hilton Honors points using at Waldorf Orlando. Might do an after hours event though if one comes back.

I see Avelo released tickets up to September 7th. They have multiple dates with two flights a day from New Haven to MCO and back. It definitely seems like the demand is there for Avelo. I’m just waiting to book November flights.

Anyone have any exciting trips planned? No spring or summer trip planned for us, just a October trip to SSR and VBR

Nothing yet but I’m waiting for that 7 month window to switch our BWV 5 night and RIV 3 night split stay over Thanksgiving to 8 straight nights at SSR.

I know it may seem crazy to switch but DH doesn’t want a split stay and we are meeting up with family so we think SSR will be easiest for them book a cash villa.

Cruising on the Magic spring break. We originally had Vero Beach booked to avoid WDW Easter crowds but cruise availability has been so good that I had to jump on it.

Two trips planned

1. Going last week of January for a week staying at the Beach Club.

2. Going down for one day in Magic Kingdom in April - combining with a week at a townhouse I just bought in Orlando where we will spend the other 6 days coordinating sheet rocking, scraping popcorn (a Florida thing) off all the ceilings, new roof, new outside walls - wait, what did I get myself into??? AGHHHHH.

Spending first two days at the Boardwalk Villas and driving to the townhouse since we don't have a bed yet.

Leaving on 4/3 for 7 days to celebrate my retirement! We were supposed to go down in Jan but we all ended up w/Omicon & had to cancel. We luckily found a 1 bedroom at SSR and WL; it cost almost as much in points as our 10 say stay in a 1 bedroom and 5 days in a studio from Jan but I was able to use all my holding points so I feel lucky. Southwest changed both of our flights from nonstop to a change in Baltimore giving us almost 24 hours less vac time but we were able to fix most of that. I hope to use Avelo in the future as we live closer to New Haven. Looking forward to more reviews of Avelo as my husband's a bit nervous about switching.

Looks like you have your hands full with the second part of your trip

??? Popcorn ceilings aren't really a Florida thing. The three houses I've owned in Connecticut all had popcorn ceilings.

Watch out for asbestos.

DH and I just planned a last minute trip in April but since all of our points are allocated, we ended up booking GDT and I keep hoping we don't hate it! We're doing the dreaded drive down (DH doesn't fly), but I'll fly back by myself since I have to return to work sooner than him and he can leisurely make his way back. Not ideal, but he's done it before. I'm actually a little nervous seeing videos of the crowds lately at MCO lately :scared1:

In May, we (just my DD and I) are going to Disneyland for the first time EVER, followed by a week in Aulani, also for our first time! :cool1:

And in September, DH and I are going on the WISH b2b :goodvibes🚢 We will have a few park days, staying at BLT prior to getting on the ship.
