Confusion About Adding Dining to BB

Earlier this year there was a thread about adding dinning at a later date to an existing room only Bounce Back reservation. Many people were of the opinion that it could not be done. I just wanted to share my recent experience. I made a room only Bounce Back reservation a few weeks ago and today I added Deluxe Dinning to it. I had to add ONE day base tickets in order to do it and it did turn the reservation into a package with a new reservation number. The good news is that I retained my 35% off the room Bounce Back rate and only paid for the tickets and the additional cost of the dinning. I hope this information helps.

I've done it a few times with room only discounts. I don't know how they do it now, but when I've switched, they had to cancel the room only, rebook as package and put down a new deposit, and have my room only deposit refunded.

I hope WDW has improved this system. I was able to retain my discount too. Glad it worked out for you.
