Confused on Alumni Internship

I know that I can participate in the College Program the semester after I graduate -- you are allowed if you are still enrolled when you interview.

I also know that as a College Program Alumni that I am able to try for some of the Alumni Only Internships.

However, when I apply for the Alumni Only Internship I will be out of college for at least 6 months and no longer be enrolled. Am I allowed to apply for the Internship, or do i have to still be enrolled in College?

I know this sounds confusing. I don't want to miss out on the opportunity for the Internship if I am no longer eligible by doing the College Program at the end of my four years.

Thanks, M

This was actually just debated on the PI thread.

When I went through the process in applying for a PI (few weeks ago), there was an "assessment" you had to take with eligibility questions. One of the questions asked you to choose from multiple choice selections about your enrollment or CP participation. From what I remember correctly, it said you either had to choose "current CP participant" or "currently enrolled in a university/college".

As far as I can remember (or maybe I saw it somewhere along the process and am mixing it up), it asked you to specify if the completion of your CP, followed by a PI would go over a year or total 1 year. My recruiter has mentioned you cannot be on any combination of a CP or CP/PI for more than a year, so they have to ask this or you aren't eligible.

There is definitely varying information. The best idea would be to e-mail the Professional Interns e-mail on the www.disneyinterns.com website and see what they tell you. They have a FAQ on their page, but I'm almost positive you are eligible for a PI if you are on a CP and no longer enrolled in school.

Yes. You can graduate from college, do the CP, then a PI. The CP and PI combined cannot pass a year. So if your contemplating between Fall Advantage or Fall, I would recommend Fall.

I did it the way listed above and so have many others.

I kind of have a question regarding the same thing...i've already done a CP, so i wanna apply for a PI the semester after a graduate...if i happen to get it, while on my PI, could i apply for another PI right after that? ok that sounds confusing, let me use an example...

I graduate Fall 2011
I do a PI Spring 2012 (while on this PI I apply for fall PIs)
I do another PI Fall 2012

is this possible?:confused3 or can u only go from doing a cp into a PI after u graduate? I don't even know if i would ever get a PI, but this is my plan if all goes as planned haha

Yes, you can go from PI to PI. A lot of people extend their current PI so they stay in one position for a year. A friend of mine used his networking opportunities on his PI to move into a MI for the second season - he did all of that without doing a CP.
