I am planning on booking three rooms at POR, room-only. From what I've been reading, it seems like if I book online I won't be able to make any further payments until I actually check in, right? So if I call to make my reservation, will I then be able to call and make periodic payments? I'd really like to be able to get the room paid all the way before we get there. Thanks! :goodvibes

You can call and make payments. That is what I did since I like to pay it all off before I go :thumbsup2

great, thanks! another question--would I be able to put some of the payment on a different credit card (that belongs to a different person)? It would be easier for my parents to just put their portion on their own card than to reimburse me with the money.

Any credit card or combination of credit cards can be used for payments :).

yaaaay, thanks for the info! :thumbsup2 So excited to get booked! :hyper: now to plan dining...mmmmmmmmm..... :goodvibes

And you can call Disney to make payments on the room regardless of whether you book online yourself or call them to book the reservation.:)

That is correct; however, the OP is making the distinction between booking room-only and packages.

Packages can be paid periodically either by calling or going online; room-only can only be paid by calling, you cannot make payments online.

So she was asking if she had to wait and pay it all off on arrival or if she could call and pay periodically.

Yes, and I've read on here that if you book a room-only online, then try to call and make a payment, the payment will be accepted, but then will end up being refunded to your credit card (so no further payment was actually made). What I really want to figure out is, if I call to make the initial reservation, does this weird glitch go away, and will I actually be able to make more payments?

I have heard of that happening as well for room only online bookings. I have always called to book our trips and have been able to make payments and pay off a room only reservation prior to arriving. So, yes, if you call and book, you can make payments :).

I have made a number of room only reservations on line and then made periodic payments by calling with no problems. The payments have been both by credit card and gift card. When I went to check my on-line reservation after phoning to make a partial payment, the payment shows up on line.

Not having experienced the weird glitch, I can't address that question.
