Confused about banked points

When can you use banked points and when do you have to use them before you lose them?

If you have a June UY, and you bank all of your 2005 points, can you use those points in 2005, or do you have to wait until June 2006 to use them?

Also, don't you have to use those banked points by June 2007 so you don't lose them?

I'm asking these questions because I'm looking at some resale listings with banked points, and I want to be clear about how it works before making an offer.

If all your June 2005 points are banked, they can then be used for stays between 6/1/06 and 5/31/07. If not used by 5/31/07, they are lost.

If you wanted to go before 6/1/06 after you already banked all the 2005 points, you could borrow your June 2006 points.

You may borrow any number of points from 1 up to your entire annual allotment (from the next use year). There is no requirement to borrow a certain number of points or to borrow in increments.

You can only borrow points if you are actually making a reservation that will use the borrowed points.
