That dude looks like he could use something to EAT....not drink! This made me chuckle. I've never seen it that bad. I've seen old mugs, a Chick-fil-A cup, soda bottle.

I know this is just speculation at this time, but since non-resort guests can purchase a mug will they be limited to the 1 day option, or can they get a length of stay? and if the latter, what constitutes a length of stay for them?
I'm sure Disney will gladly take the money of any non-resort guest for whatever day length they want to pay for. According to the new reports the length of stay option is actually 14 consecutive days.
So if that's the case, then people should be able to buy 1 mug for split stays, possibly even if staying off-site in between.
Maybe someone can answer this for me...if I do a split stay 3 nights FQ and 8 nights POP: BOTH WITH DDP, will I get two separate mugs, one good for 4 days, and one good for 9? Know what I'm saying??
Explain?

Yep, two mugs. That is the current policy, even without the RFID.
Understood, but I guess what I'm asking is that with the new program, RFID mugs, if you purchase the dining plan, the mugs would basically be "preloaded" with the number of days you are staying, regardless of split stay or not....
So, by getting the dining plan for both stays you get a mug for each resort at a lesser per day use, whereas if you we're to go without the dining plan you could just purchase one mug for both resort stays...since this program acknowledges split stays?
Hope I'm making sense...
So...I have the DDP for our upcoming Aug trip...what is my fate? LOL
This is just a test starting soon? will it be enforced by mid August?
and...when did Disney begin including the refillable mugs in the basic DDP (1QS, 1TS, 1snack per person per day?)
I agree, mugs are now $15.49. I can't imagine the extra $2.50 will make a difference.
Maybe not to you and me but I guarantee you that it will to someone.
We met a lady at WDW last May who went on about how great Disney is and how the DDP is the greatest concept since Mickey Mouse. That she and her family would not be able to afford going to WDW if it wasn't for the DDP.
She went on and said that a CM at Pecos Bill gave her some pixie dust. They let her use a table service credit for a QS hamburger!
Now to me she got ripped off, but to her, she was in hamburger heaven.

We always try to have a car for at least part of the trip. We stop somewhere and stock up on drinks and snacks and simple breakfast items. DS gets his nasty Sunkist and I can get a variety. It's all good.Sure - with a car. If all you need is drinks, $14-$17 plus tip for a delivery service or $60+ for a car service doesn't seem like a saving. Yes, it's different if you have a car; not everyone will.

We rent a car too. I gotta have my Dr Pepper down there. Actually I seldom drink sodas here at home, but for some reason as soon as I get to WDW I immediately want a Dr Pepper. I think it's just the knowledge that I can't get one down there, that makes me crave one.![]()
