Confessions of the Resort Changers

WL is not too big. It is very well layed out, everything is right below the rooms in one building. I was talking about my sisters' trip to CR, the garden wing rooms are a hike. At WL everything is not very far. I never felt that way anyhow. You will love WL.

Sorry if I confused you in my last post.

stepdisney, you'd asked about my ADR's. Well I think that while they could use a little more tweaking I may have come to a stopping point. :)

Here's what we've got so far:
9/2 dinner @ Crystal Palace
9/3 dinner @ O'hana
9/4 dinner @ Chef Mickey's
9/5 lunch @ LeCellier
9/6 dinner @ Whispering Canyon
9/7 dinner @ Coral Reef

So by looking at the ADRs I'm pretty much centrally located now that we're staying at WL.

Yes, I can still justify all changes that have been made.;)

I did mean CR being large. I have duo resort syndrome. I was probably talking about both resorts.

My ADR's for today:

Aug 31 Alfredos
Sept 1 O'hana
Sept 2 Crystal Palace
Sept 3 Spoodles (I'm still thinking about changing this one)
Sept 4 Whispering Canyon
Sept 5 Bomas (We may end up sleeping in the lobby of AKL this night :) )
Sept 6 Mama Melrose Fantasmic
Sept 7 Le Cellier
Sept 8 Breakfast at Chef Mickeys

The 31 and the 8th are subject to change depending on our flight times.

I know how each and everyone one of you is feeling. Except, it was one of my friends that we are traveling to the WL with that kept changing her mind. We changed 3 times and then my DH said, "No more!" We are finally completely booked for the WL. I guess I am lucky because she has not started changing our ADR yet.

Stickin' with WL. Having second thoughts on some of my ADR. Friends told us to book Boma, but my husband won't go within 10 ft. of anything currey. I have no idea which restaurant I would dump to add it. So far we have: Chef Mickey's twice, Chefs De France, Le Cellier, Ohana, Liberty Tree Tavern all dinners.

What's your opinion on Boma?

Boma was worth going to and we loved the atmosphere. I think we're pretty adventursome diners but we didn't appreciate all of the different flavors. DH and DDs didn't care for it at all. I tried many different things and liked some of the dishes. I've heard that breakfast is really great at Boma and they have a juice called Frunch that's supposed to delicious. Good Luck

OMG just found this thread. :lmao: I admit, I am also a compulsive resort changer. :confused3

My first trip to WDW in 1997 was a H.S. graduation present for 2 DD's. :cheer2: :cheer2: Since this was the only time we would be visiting I wanted it to be special. Started at value, worked my way up to mod. (3 different resorts), then switched to Deluxe, 2 resorts before we ended up at GF. Since it would be our only time there, I thought we should "splurge". :woohoo:

Well, as you can see from my sig. we were "hooked" from day 1 and can't stay away. :thumbsup2

Luckily I've found Dis and can be more "informed" when I make my numerous resort changes per visit. Can't seem to shake this "sickness" :scared1:

Even though we can drive to Disneyland in 6 hrs. and have been there too many times to count, WDW is our fave. :dance3:

We're staying at AKL again in Sept. and will most likely buy into AKV. Since I've got to find a cure for this sickness...........

nonsmom, we loved Boma. It is my favorite so far. There are many things without curry. A lot of the items have a ginger sort of flavor to them. I loved it because it was a change from the chicken and peel and eat shrimp at the rest of the buffets. (I do love both chicken and shrimp by the way.) There really isn't another restaurant like it on site which makes it a must-try for a lot people. There are some items on the buffet that are a little more like standard buffet. Hope you get to try it.

LW Calif, take two aspirin and call CRO in the morning, that is the only cure for this illness:rotfl:. How did you like GF? Just asking. Not thinking of changing :rolleyes1 .

Ktink, I spent most of my day trying to book our flights. We have FF miles on a few different airlines but we can't seem to use them so that we are getting a good price and using our points and all traveling on the same flight etc. I've narrowed it down, I think....Unfortunately, once our flights are booked there will be no changing of dates.

Stepdisney - We really liked GF. Beautiful resort. Had a dormer room overlooking the pool. Loved the monorail access to MK. Haven't been back because we wanted to try other resorts. Honestly, we've loved every resort we've stayed at. AKL is one of our favorites, which is why we are considering AKV. Had a std. room 1st time. This time we have two savannah rooms booked. That darn free dining keeps drawing us back. :)

We are also "free dining" lovers. We were booked and ready to go September 27 until October 7 but changed when they changed the dates for dining. At one point, I was booked at AKL and WL trying to make up my mind. What did you like about GF? The theming is a little too "floral" for the boys but the architecture looks very grand and elegant. Is this the resort that has access to TTC for an easy trip to epcot as well as MK? I read somewhere that at one monorail resort you can walk to TTC for quick monorail to epcot. (Maybe I was dreaming). I love to hear about other resorts first hand before I read about them on the thread. I'd love to see pictures of the resort and the view if you have any.

We just received a beautiful book with information regarding AKV. My husband seems very interested. I'm interested only if we can switch resorts and stay at any of the DVC resorts. Not being able to switch resorts would drive me crazy. Like Alaska Dogcat says, so many resorts, so little time.

I may a switch today. Woo hoo. I was able to get my woods view but with bunkbed at the WL. I am so excited. Although I will keep trying because I really do not want bunkbed (cannot win with me LOL).

Are their any king side beds with bunkbeds?

I saw a bunk room with king bed over at AKL. The person who posted the picture confirmed that it was a king bed with bunks. I'm not sure if it is available at WL. You may want to check on the WL thread. Congrats on your resort change. You sound like you're not done yet.

My name is Summer and I too am a resort changeaholic:guilty:

It started out as 2 weeks in CSR, then went to one week CBR and one week AKL, and is now finally at 3 days CBR (prior to wedding) 4 days POFQ and 7 days AKL. Not to mention squeezing in a 3 night DCL and 4 nights Crowne Plaza Universal. I figured a good excuse is, it's my wedding, so I want to be extremely happy with my choices. I have also upgraded at POFQ to water view and requested king bed, water view, high floor, corner room if possible at all resorts:rotfl: Luckily my fiance doesn't know how much I have swapped and changed, I also bought 2 bridal gowns:lmao:

I am very happy with my final choice in resorts and as a previous poster said, don't even get me started on my ADR's...:guilty:

Too funny. I may not be done until I get king beds.

Hey when I called to double check that my online ressie took I wanted to make a special request and I was told that I can only do 1 request. Is that true?

Not sure what you mean by one request. Do you mean courtyard with bunk beds as two requests or court yard as first request and wood view if you don't get your first request. I think you can request bed size and view. Good question though. Anyone else want to take a stab at this one?

My first request I typed it via online the type of room view I prefer. And when I called to confirm that received my ressie I wanted to add another request that it was my DD's 5th birthday celebration. She told me that she can only add one request on her computer. That I will have to wait till check-in to let them know it's her birthday. I was hoping to have a card signed by the characters waiting at the front desk (from what I have been told they do in the past for guest celebrating a birthday).
