Hope everyone is doing ok
I am sure everyone is busy with their families...and counting down to our trip!!

Well, I changed from Villas back to the Lodge!!! Unfortuantely the only room that was available was the HoneyMoon Suite CL....SSSHHH Dh does not know, it is a surprise! We will be celebrating our anniversary 2 mths late..thats good enough right??? lol
Incidentally, Dh won on a $5 bet that paid 1000-1 in Vegas last week on a business trip Sooo hard to believe...its going in the bank, except for my "upgrade" and park hoppers instead of base tickets.
So I dont feel that guilty...
We will eventually stay at VWL I am sure, I was just thinking of how I wanted to stay IN the WL....
So that is my big change!

I am so happy for ya!! The Honeymoon suite! Wow. What a nice way to experience the WL for the first time. I'll have my goldfish crackers now please I really have been busy but I stop in twice daily to check and see what's been going on and to make sure I'm not missing some spectacular deal, upgrade, etc. etc. Enjoy your wonderful upgrade! While in Vegas I asked DH to place a bet on ktink too!!!! She changed again!!!
ktink....what resort have you NOT been booked at this trip?! lol....

I guess this chane thing is addicting....I should have stopped at the hoppers...but the Lodge was calling me..."Diana......" (Meant change)

And I Know other rooms are at the Lodge...except they wont release any other room types for the free dining!!! UGH! I would have been happy with Courtyard view , which is what I originally had when I first booked WL!
So.....since I finally decided on WL..I have actually changed 4 times!!! (room type anyway)
So its an extra $400 from the studio...I could just stay at VWL in the studio and go by that Coach bag I wanted!!! lol
Coach Bag...or be pampered for 4 nights/5 days??????

I know....I mean this in a lighthearted manner.......what a choice....I do know we are very fortunate DH is not a gambler, hence the $5 bet, lol!!
I just know that this opportunity may not present itself again that me, DH and Dd14mths would be able to do this again, my other lovely kiddos will be with And even though I got married at Disney, we never had a honeymoon suite! Listen to me rationalize.....

OK.....POFQLady....looks like we will have to synchronize our schedules to maybe saying hello at the Poly ..are you still coming to WL for a TS ktink???
So this week we are off to the WI Dells...staying at the WIlderness Resort...lol...its a waterpark place....how ironic! We have been staying there since '02 though...Ava turns 1 on the 28th Oh..its our anniversary too! lol..so that is why I got that extra $..how sweet DH is
So ladies......what would you do.....Coach Bag (Carly Signature Large Duffel) or upgrade to HM Ste CL at the WL????

Coach lasts for a season or 2 or 3, family memories in the honeymoon suite at WL.......PRICELESS!!!!!! You can always get the bag later you won't always be at WDW in the honeymoon suite. WOW - ENJOY!!!!

Though I'm a Coach lover I'd go for the Honeymoon suite, especially if you already have a Coach Purse. I'm sure that your DH will be thrilled that you booked the Honeymoon Suite and he may go and purchase the purse for you. Besides, I don't know when or if I'll ever see the inside of the HM suite so you have to take stay and take lots of pictures so we can all see.

I have never seen the honeymoon suites....gotta go check that out.

That 5,000 could go a long way toward a DVC contract. I just saw a 100pt Wilderness lodge contract for $88/pt ....

Just popping in to say hi. I called to change an ADR this morning from 'Ohana to Kona. A definite no go. They only have 8:30 p.m. Much too late for my DS's. I guess we will have to try it on our next trip. Hope everyone else got the ones they wanted.

By the way, the agent I spoke with said up until last year, you could do a walk in for Kona. Now, it is very popular and usually sold out every night. I guess the cat is out of the bag.

Thank you ladies for your input, I agree. I already have some Coach items...and Prejeanprincess thanks for your thoughts!!!!

As far as DVC.....yes you guys are sooo right!! lol...The funds are being saved for a small resale contract so we wont have to finance! He wants to do the tour, and then add his bonus and buy in December. I did see a few contracts now..but i would rather wait just a few mths and get a bit bigger realse contract. Besides, we wont be able to use it til next year anyway.

DH said as soon as he realized he won....He heard my voice saying "DVC"...lol And here, I didnt want him going to Vegas....lol

So...now that we will have More food that we can eat in the lounge...should I change ADR's? Should we dine out 2 nights instead of 3? Especially with the baby (14 mths) OMG....She is walking all over the place help, she is turning 1 in 2 days!!!!!!
I have Coral Reef and Ohana (did that in March, but DH did not)
Thinking of doing Artist Point and keeping CG our last night.....

Yes...the "Kona Secret" is out...4 years ago it was nothing to just walk up and get a table!! Good luck!!

Disneybride'03 - Good choice. I am sooooo happy for you.....WL CL. I wish we could do CL but with 2 rooms and 7 people it is way to expensive, I am lucky to get to stay deluxe with a view (and bunks) at AKL. But I have decided that if CRO calls and trys to get me to change resorts (b/c of the construction) that my only option will be CL on the monorail or WL. Boy am I being snooty or what.

PjP....I have seen AKL'ers being moved to villas at DVC resorts on here somewhere!! What abt that...a 2 bdr villa???? However, leaving AKL with your kiddos might be tough, unless you were on the monorail!

Thanks, am getting excited now I will probably gain 10 lbs! But I am going to do just 2 dinners out, AP and CG.....who knows how tired DD will be...hey thats what I have CL for...to change around all my dining plans at the last minute..lol!! I just wish the HM Suite was more of a suite and not just a room!! Well Ava will love the jacuzzi tub thats for sure!
We did get hoppers too...just in case...even if we went to MGM for a couple of hours.....I did the park commando thing in March....not this time

You know PjP...YOU can always try calling CRO! Just say you are concerned abt construction with 4 little ones, am I eligible for another resort that will be more condusive to my vacation needs...this vacation is very important to us, hate to disappoint my 4 little ones...etc....what abt 2 WL CL rooms?!

You'll have to let us know how you like AP and CG, make sure and plan your ressies for CG around the fireworks at MK. I have read that the view is incredible.

We stayed at BWV in a 2 bedroom villa last year and unless it is VWL I would rather have the 2 room option. You don't get the same services at the regular rooms in the villa (like turn-down service). My dd6 really missed turn-down service last year. Although, I hope we can just stay at AKL. I am really exicited to try it (and Boma too).

You know, DisneyBride'03, another good choice for dinner (or lunch) is WCC. My kids had so much fun there. The last time we were there was in Dec.04 and our enitre family was there (all 17 of us). We put all 7 of the grandkids at one table and the adults at the other. The waiter asked our kids to help themselves to another tables birthday cake after they sang happy birthday. So this poor person is thinking they are going to eat cake only to have 7 rug rats running to their table with forks in hand ready to dig in. It was the funniest thing. Plus, they also got to ride stick horses. Just an idea.

My resort changer confession of the day......still trying to upgrade my AKL ressies...still no luck, today I changed a few ADR's to satisfy my need to switch!

I have a confession:

When last y'all heard from me I settled on 3 days GV at the Poly with free dining followed by 5 days at OKW in a 2 br using points and purchasing the dining plan. Perfect compromise. All ADR's are made and park days planned out.

I really thought I was done. Then, one day I was thinking how much fun it would be to try out the Beach Club Villas. We could stay at OKW for 3 days and switch to BCV for the week-end. More likely to have availability, and only 6 points more per night than OKW. Lucky for me they were booked. That would have thrown a monkey wrench into my relaxing day before MNSSHP plans (switching resorts and being homeless until possibly 4pm the night of the party). Not too kosher with 3 little ones.

SO really, I was done. I even payed off my package at the Poly so I wouldn't have anymore temptation. Then the AP rates came out. I could book a tower Magic Kingdom View at the Contemporary for 350 for our last night. We would save 54 DVC points. We wouldn't have the dining plan, but that would save $110 and we could stretch our credits by eliminating our Yachtsman dinner. We had the same category booked in March when my son was hit by a car while crossing to the Magic Kingdom from the resort the morning we checked in (long story..different thread) and the poor kid spent 3 days in Arnold Palmer Hospital instead of the Contemporary... I owed it to him, right?

I almost did it! My finger was on the mouse about ready to click...then I decided this lunacy has to end somewhere. First of all my husband would have had a kitten. He vastly prefers the DVC villas to any hotel regardless of location and theme just for the privacy. I knew this was not a good decision. 2 resorts per trip are enough!

Seriously, I think I need a "Resort Changing Intervention"! I decided it would go something like this:

"Denise...put down the mouse...step away from the computer. Chris, wrestle the phone out of her hand! Cut up her Disney Visa and Annual Pass immediately! Deep breath Denise, repeat after me:

I do not want to change my vacation itenerary, It's fine. I don't care that Tour Guide Mike lists the Magic Kingdom as a "yellow" day, you will still have fun.
Please disregard that bad review you just read about _________. You will try it anyway and form your own opinion.
The kids are not gonna die if they don't get on the Pirate Cruise. They will never even know it existed if you don't mention it.

Bravo for the intervention deide and for sharing it with us. Your confession is a testimony for us.

I on the other hand, have been reading over on AKL thread about a LOT of refugees because of the construction. A few people are panicing and abandoning ship. It has tempted me to call and pick up one of the newly opened rooms but I didn't. I thought. . . .What if they have it open.... You would HAVE to take it . Then, if it turned out they were moving everyone, you would have to move too and your WL room would be GONE.... This worked for me

I have a confession...I have changed resorts....not staying at the Wilderness....resort in the Dells....lol...couldnt help myself. I have changed resorts..yesterday here in WI Dells...however, so glad I did, and my family is happy too
We always stay at the WIldnerness, we liked our room in the one section, actually kept thinking abt these rooms would be perfect at Disney...2 queens, semi privacy wall, wet bat etc a bit over 400 sq ft..we haad ground floor poolside..with a stupid green chain link fence 5 ft in front of you.
Anyway...
throughout the course of the day when we would return...the room had the stench of beer...yuk..didnt notice at first I guess cause the roomw as decorated for DD1's b day ...
well long story short, we cancelled our cabana the next day(so not worth it after seeing it ...welll we were moved to a newer section called Glacier Canyon Lodge..OMG ...rate was only $150 and we got a 1 BDR beautiful room ..everyone is sleeping now.
So last night at 10 pm we had to move ALL our stuff and DH is like :You and your hotel magic...lol what did you do this time?"
Saved us $ and got better accomodations!! 800 sq ft Its a timeshare thingy by Wyndham..
So...I am a Resort Changer....close to home OR Disney

THE best thing...we found an outlet mall here in the Dells....Disney Outlet Store ...it was too overwhelming though, so many things.
Was very good actually, spent less than $50...DD10 bought a huge Orlando Bloom pillow from Pirates...she was very excited
AND....stepdisney....we saw COACH....DH said I could still get one (reasonably priced... ) then saw it doesnt open til July... I think he saw that BEFORE he said that...lolanyway, I am so over that....dont need one, rather spend the $$ on my kids Or , um save it

OMG... I'm getting the shakes. Now that we've cancelled our trip, I can't change anything. I just wanted to step over here and see what all was going on. DH and I talked last night about taking the girls to WDW for a long weekend when they are out of school in January. Today is the first day that I've second guessed our decision but it's too late now. And we really had to do what was best for DD in her new school.

All of your trips will be here before you know it. I can't wait to hear all about them!
