I've found POLY IPO to be less personal than I am used to, but it's ok, they've done pretty much what I've needed. I don't think they're checking on an early request of mine, for another ADR time, I think they may have forgotten by now as I've never heard anything from them in a couple months. I am ok with my plans as they are now, and I am very happy they where able to get us a 7:45 Cali Grill reservation on our arrival night.....it'll be nice to try and catch the hallowishes fireworks :)

The IPO I've found most personal is AKL, they always answered my questions personally and with nice chit chat that was directly related to what I had written :) I especially liked dealing with Don, he was wonderful! I wish they had larger rooms, because the whole family LOVES it at AKL and we'd probably be back there if they could accommodate us this trip......

With that said, I AM still looking forward to our first POLY stay :)

I'm finding AKL IPO very nice too :good vibes is it August yet? BC is still cold & rainy, bleck.

A few pages back I promised to let some of you know how our check in went.

We are at YC CL right now, after a few days at AKL CL. I did use the online check in this time. The only thing it did was make our check in process a little faster since they already had our cc on file and our key cards made up. Saved us some valuable time but didn't take anything away from the CL normal check in process.

My room requests were met both times and I would definitely use the online check in again. We checked in at AKL late in the evening and YC early in the morning.

Hope this helps clarify things!:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 good to know, thanks.

Just to piggy back on this, I would also definitely use online check in with CL. All 3 check ins so far have been very fast and done by the CL CMs, not the front desk. We also got major pixie dust twice, so I don't think you lose anything by checking in in advance.

I'm do glad to hear good things about CL online check ins! The IPO use to tell me not to do it but it seems this yr they suggest it do I did and looking fwd to checking into GF next week!

So far between Poly, GF and BC IPO the BC has been very friendly and so on top of everything! My 2x dealing with Poly a few weeks after booking I had to initiate contact the same with GF. BC emailed me two days later and was fantastic! V

I will say tho I booked my own ADR but I did ask GF IPO to look out for a earlier Ohana ADR and yesterday I got a message from them! Was surprised since u really hadn't heard much from them at all but they obviously still work on requests from months ago right up to your check in, b/c we check in next week!

Thanks mmmears and ihtm for the online check-in info! Guess I'll be doing that in a couple of days. At AKL, where will we check-in??

Any recent examples of the CL lounge offerings at AKL and WL? I've seen the standard pastries, cereals, cheese and wine, etc., but was wondering if anyone had any more recent detailed examples. I think I saw some at one point from 2010 or so, but I can't even seem to find those now. Also any comparisons between the two would be awesome. :goodvibes

We'll be leaving in 11 days (ticker says 12, but I added a day;)) and I'll be sure to get a detailed list for you of CL offerings ...and plenty of pictures, too:thumbsup2

Here is an excerpt from my April 2012 WL/CL review on AllEars:

The Old Faithful Club lounge:

Coffee service: 0630-0700.
Breakfast: 0700-1030.
Snacks: 1130-4:00.
Appetizers: 5:00-7:00.
Desserts and cordials: 8:00-10:00.

The Old Faithful Club has an amazing variety of food and drinks. We love that the delicious appetizers change nightly and usually 2-3 hot items are available, such as:

Chicken skewers, ancho chili chicken skewers, salmon chowder, satay, venison meatballs, venison spring rolls, duck pot stickers, pulled-pork shooters, bacon-wrapped scallops, crab rangoon… They also always have a tasty variety of cold items such as arugula salad, potato and bean salad, buffalo salad, tomato caprese, antipasto platter, crudités, cheeses (the bleu is delicious), hummus, baba ganoush, sun dried tomato pesto, bleu ranch dip, turkey and cheese roll-ups, PBJ shooters, breads…

Breakfast is the same everyday. They have cut-up fresh fruit, including delicious fresh pineapple every morning. Apples and bananas are also out all the time. They also have fresh chocolate chip and blueberry muffins, croissants, pastries such as cinnamon buns, cereals, bagels (with cream cheese, jelly and peanut butter), yogurt, and oatmeal (only seasonally). Unlike the Epcot resorts, they don't have hard boiled eggs. There is brewed coffee in a pitcher from from 0630 - 1030 and there are two coffee machines which offer a variety of plain and specialty, regular and decaf. coffees. In the fridge there are cartons of skim and 1% milk, canned tomato juice and sometimes apple juice boxes. There is also 2% milk and cream, apple juice, cranberry juice and OJ.

Snacks consist of gummies, a sesame cracker mix, goldfish crackers and cookies. They also have sodas in the refrigerator and water, iced tea, lemonade, coffee and tea bags. If you'd like beer or wine, but it's not out yet, just ask one of the friendly Cast Members. About four different bottled beers are put in the fridge at 5:00 and three different wines, usually a cabernet, merlot and white. At 8:00 cordials are available, too.

Dessert time means it's time for cobbler! Every evening a delicious cobbler is available. Usually it's an apple, peach or berry cobbler. There are also Magic Bars, brownies and cookies and the portion sizes are generous. Milk is always out, unlike some lounges where you have to ask for it.

Wow!! That sounds amazing and it is making me wish we were staying at WL!! Does anyone know what they serve at BWI? Is it similar to WL at all? Thanks.

I just did a BWI/WL split over spring break. My BWI CL review with photos is hyperlinked in my signature. There are also BWI/CL photos on the first page of the BWI thread that's also hyperlinked in my signature.

Personally, I feel that the OFC offerings are much better and much more varied than BWI's. I prefer the wider variety at WL and the lounge offers more seating and better views both inside and outside.

I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about either CL.

I really missed the Magic Bars while at BC this trip!! Although they look like state fair leftovers (to put it nicely ;)), they're DELISH!!

I never noticed your reviews in your signature before. They were great. Thank you. I am going to have to try WL at some point because it really sounds amazing. I didn't even think about WL when we made our reservations but now I really wished I had asked about it. Either way, BWI still looks lovely and I am excited about going and trying the CL there. THanks again for your reviews and photos. They are really helpful.

We are so looking forward to our trip this September/October. We will be staying at BC/CL and AKL/CL. Is there any recent reviews and or pictures of the food offering for both of those resorts.

We have stayed at AKL CL before and love, love it! However it will be two years since our last visit. Beach Club resort is our first stay.

Any help would be so appreciated.
