Concierge/Club Level Information - Part III (October 2010)

Hi there!!

I'm usually a pretty easy going, go with the flow, kinda gal, and have stayed CL many times over the years, at BC, CR, Poly, YC, and GF. I am heading to WL club level for the first time Wednesday!!

My question is: Is it appropriate to request certain items be stocked in the lounge? I'd never even dreamt of this, but a friend of mine only drinks MGD beer. He told me when he stays Poly CL, he emails, and requests that beer be stocked and it is??? Another friend drinks Dr. Pepper, and requested that, and that request was met as well.. I'd just like to know if this is common, or slightly overbearing? Thanks so much for any, and all feedback on this. I really appreciate it!! :)
During our Club Level stays my Mom always requests a Half a Red Grapefruit to have with breakfast each morning because that's one thing the lounges don't offer. She also requests Sprite Zero because that's something else the Boardwalk Inn doesn't offer there was never any problems getting them.

Now they won't stock these items inside the lounge. For example the Sprite Zero was placed inside the fridge of our room before we checked-in and the Grapefruit was kept in back room of the lounge where they clean the plates and bring out the various foods.

I guess a diet Pepsi request would be out of the question huh? I'll just be the oddball carrying my 12 pk of Pepsi:rotfl: Oh yea can I get a Redbull at CR, I did see the Monster drink in one of the market photos. I just want to be a Bull not a Monster:banana:

I'm unable to have caffeine (medical reasons) so I always request caffeine free regular coke, also gluten free muffins (I'm celiac) - in all my years of staying CL I've never had any issues at all.

The CMs keep my muffins in the lounge kitchen for me (they're brought up fresh from the Boardwalk Bakery every morning for me), and my coke is ready and waiting in my room fridge when I arrive.

I requested Diet Pepsi at WL and it was refused, with the explanation being they only stock Coke products. But Dr Pepper is a Pepsi product. :confused3

Maybe I just didn't ask the right way?

New free wireless internet service didn't work for us and the boilers went out early Saturday morning: no hot water for anything!

Thanks for the review! I'd be interested in hearing whether others have had problems with the free wireless at BWI; we'll be there in December, and if the wireless is problematic, I won't bother with my laptop (can check relevant email on my phone). But if it's there and available, I probably will bring the laptop....

My sister and I just got home last night from our stay at BWI CL. I cannot say enough about the CM's in the lounge!!!! They are the greatest and nicest people!! It was such a WONDERFUL stay! It was my sister's first time and she is spoiled now!! I have stayed at BC CL before and it was very nice however the BWI CL was simply amazing!!!!

If you have any questions I will try to answer.

This makes me so excited for my first boardwalk inn /deluxe room stay in October :cool1: I truly think we made the best choice switching over from the POLY for this trip. I only hear amazing things about the BWI CL staff, welcome home and happy to hear your trip was wonderful! :)

Indeed! We agree with chimo2u: the BWI CL CMs are quite special; in fact, after every October stay we write a letter to WDW Guest Communication Services and acknowledge them by name.

All the best. :thumbsup2

It's been quite a while since we've stayed at the BWI CL and we did love it when we stayed there. The cast was fabulous!

Since then my breakfast diet requires an egg every morning.
I can get that at the BC/YC CLs and the GF RPC always provides me my requests also.

Will the BWI be willing also with hard boiled eggs in the AM?

Thinking of doing either the deluxe room or the garden suite with our RPC stay in May. :cloud9:

YOu will love it!!! It was so much fun!! I have been to WDW a lot and this was by far the most fun and nicest CM's I have encountered!!! Enjoy!!!

The BWI CL lounge now has Hard Boiled Eggs in the morning? If so that's great to hear because I knew they only had them in the CL lounges at the YC and BC, because during my previous CL stays at the BWI they never had them before during breakfast.

I was there this past Thurs. till last night and they had hard boiled eggs each morning!! There was a large bowl of them. They had cereal, oatmeal, pastries, the eggs and bagels each morning.

Glad I could help. Sounds like a great trip. We stayed in a regular room at BWI on the 4th floor andy it was nice. Good luck with your decision!!:goodvibes

Thanks for letting me know that because when I previously stayed Club Level there in August 2010, December 2010 and August/September 2011 they didn't have them.

Well I can tell you the Boardwalk Inn only has a total of 10 Deluxe Rooms and once they are sold out chances are they don't become available. Plus those are a lot bigger then their Garden Suites and less expensive.

They are bigger than the garden suites?! REALLY! I've never stayed in a deluxe room so I had no clue I just would have thought the garden suites were bigger as the one we stayed in was HUGE! They must be humongous! We thought the garden suite was like a small apartment. (We had one of the ones that is entirely seperated and not a loft though.)

The garden suite draw back is that it is no where near the Club lounge though.
