Well I have an example of that happening and what the Cast Members did later on. In August 2009 while my family and I were in the Atrium Club lounge of the Contemporary these guests staying up there invited at least 20 of their family or friends, which made the lounge very crowded and it got very loud, plus some of those people had little kids running around which made for a dangerious enviornment. Had we not got a table before they arrived you can bet we would have complained, however we didn't say anything to the Cast Members at that time. Well a couple of hours later when we returned they had put two signs in the lounge, one in english and the other in spanish which said the Atrium Club lounge is reserved for guests staying up there and etc. Not once in my previous stays up there did they ever put out those signs. Anyway we then started talking to one of the Cast Members who knew us from our previous stays up there and knows we were regular repeat guests about what happened. Well he appologized and knew of the problem and I asked how come they those people weren't asked to leave? He told me the first time that happend the Cast Members are not allowed to say anything, however he said if they tried that a second time the people not staying up there would be asked to leave.

I was staying in the Atrium Club at the same time and I remember that group... :sad2:

Great thread. I see so much info on AKL, are there similar posts for BC? We will be staying there in October and I'm wondering what kind of yummies will be served.

And I'm not sure if I read it right, but could we request it to be stocked with certain kinds of beer?

Hello! Just click the link in my signature below and scroll down to post #8 on the first page for photos and info regarding BC CL!

I have a question for you all knowing CL disers!! I searched but couldn't find anything on this.

Will the club level lounges deal with dietary restrictions? My dh needs to eat gluten free. While gluten won't kill him, it isn't good for him at all. We are thinking about staying club level on our next visit and not doing the dining plan. I saw in the Poly post that they often offer ribs. Anyone know if they might be able to give him ribs without the sauce? That's a good example of something he could eat with just a minor modification.

Also, are DVDs available in every resort on the club level?

Many thanks for any help you guys can give!

I've stayed at the Yacht and Beach CLs and neither did time did I have that happen....thankfully.

The BC CL CMs were unhelpful some of the time .. such as when we were leaving in December they tried to tell me a flight to LAX on Virgin America was an international flight and that I would need to board the magical express 4 hours ahead of time. I _literally_ had to explain to the CL CM and the person on the phone that LAX is not an international flight.

The YC CL CMs were far more helpful when I stayed there. I think being a convention property, the YCCL CMs may provide better service.

TY for the info BTW about the Sugar Loaf Club and pool crashers. I was thinking of staying there in November and now will perhaps not.

Then again, I don't expect pool friendly weather in November.

Be sure to speak with someone in the CL about special dietary needs. I know others have had success with sugar restricted diets, etc. If you ask IPO, perhaps they can put you in touch with the chef and you could work together on some items. If you do not meet with success through IPO, I would speak with the chef upon arrival. Sometimes IPO is not as on the ball as they ought to be.

DVDs are available at the Polynesian and I believe all other CL throughout Disney.

I have borrowed DVD's for free from Poly & BWI CL but at AKL it was for a fee from the gift shop. It was free for DVC members.

When the CM at AKL CL told me it was a fee I jokingly told my DD that we would go back to the room to do homework. The CM put a $20 credit on our room so we could go rent some movies.

Your DD must have LOVED that CM:thumbsup2. I wonder why AKL doesn't offer DVDs for free and from their desk area?

BTW, at the CR's Atrium Club, DD was told to ride the elevator up to the Tower Club level to get the DVDs since the 12th floor didn't have any.

We made sure to thank that CM and tell him what movie we got that night-Underdog. My DD had never seen it and really loved it. I found it on sale cheap at Target so now we have it at home.

I think the Poly had a larger selection then BWI.

We are staying at BWI-CL standard at the end of July. Woo-Hoo, less than a month!!!!
Anyway, we have some non-expiration tickets from our 2006 trip that still have a couple of days left on them, but we are not sure how many. I know I can't call and find out what's left on them, but I'm wondering if IPO can help me. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Sorry, can't answer the ticket question as we always get APs. However, I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoy the BWI CL experience. One of our favorite CLs on property.

Enjoy!

Sharlon-We will be there the same time as you! DD is bringing two friends so DH is going to be going nuts with 3 13 yr olds in tow. I can't wait! Have a good trip and enjoy your stay. You will love it!:thumbsup2
