But do they have soda's and stuff all the time, just different variety's? Or not? I guess I don't know exactly what the clubs have. LOL! We need a thread for each individual club-so we don't have to sift through so many pages looking for the answers! :lmao:

So, there really isn't a "need" to buy a refillable mug if you are staying CL, right? Are the same drinks available in the club as in the cafeteria's? Although-I do kind of like to have a mug, but if drinks are always available, I could pick out a mug I love somewhere in the parks.

We leave a month from today-I just cannot wait to go!

The only-one-month-to-go banana dance for you!:banana:

The drinks are not the same, but if the lounge doesn't carry a soda you like, you can always ask them if they're able to get it and in my experience, they will.

And for convenience, you can always store cans of soda, beer, milk boxes, etc... in your rooms' fridge so that it's available to you anytime you need it.

:wave2: IDK, I think it has been different people. And the first person never signed her name to the emails. I say her, only as an assumption. Because even the wording in the email was sweet and upbeat. The most recent email was more formal, what else can we help you with type. I was surprised, because I received an email confirming all our ADRs and info about the Skidoo boats, etc. already. So this email made me realize IT'S COMING UP  I am obsessing multiple times a day over a trip that's 4 1/2 months away:rotfl: Are you still booked at BC ;)?

I think it's great that you look forward to your trip everyday. I always say that the planning and anticipation of a WDW vacation is half the fun.

Yes, I'm still booked in a Deluxe room at the BC:laughing:.

No matter how much I worry about the potentially crowded and/or messy lounge/lobby, I can't seem to give-up that Deluxe room. It's 120 SF larger than a std. room, has a Crescent Lake view, has no connecting door (which is a must for me), and is about as close to Epcot as one can get and isn't near a noisy elevator. If we move to YC or BWI, I would lose all those features. I think I should count my blessings and stay put, right?

I think you'll be fine:goodvibes And if the lounge is crowded-Take stuff back to your HUGE room and enjoy the view from there. I wouldn't switch to YC. BWI....well you know I like the idea of BWI. But, yes....stay put, for now:laughing:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :rotfl:

 J/K
I know how much you are stressing over this. Remind me again, why you switched from the YC to the CR last year? I would be more concerned about why you didn't like the YC CL in comparison to CR, since to me, YC and BC are so similar.

(As for BWI Deluxe room, we LOVED ours! :cloud9: But the long walk from the elevators to our room/lounge plus always sharing with 2 other resorts (and sometimes 4) I just can't bring myself to stay there again this year.)

The drinks are not the same, but if the lounge doesn't carry a soda you like, you can always ask them if they're able to get it and in my experience, they will.
During our first Club Level stay at the Boardwalk Inn my mom requested Sprite Zero and JJ got her 6 bottles of it. For our second stay there we decided to bring our own case of it and when we got into our room and I opened the fridge to make sure it was cold, there was already cans of Sprite Zero in there. Well JJ had remembered how 4 months earlier my Mom had requested it, so this time without us saying anything he got them for her before we had arrived. Now that's what we call great Disney service.

That's weird because a few days after we made our Beach Club reservation we got an e-mail from their IPO department.

Maybe it's because I switched from WL/CL:confused3. Although I had to initiate contact with them, too:upsidedow.

Yes, the sodas are there all the time, but lounges do close for about an hour at a time a few times a day. Some lounges will still have access to the beverages when they're closed and some don't. That's why you should put some drinks in your fridge. Once, I needed a drink at the WL and they were closed and the concierge asked me what I needed and opened-up the lounge and got it for me.

The first page does have some photos of the CL fridges and you can always email the IPO if you want a specific listing.

pas130: Thank you for saying that I'll be fine if I stay put:goodvibes. Now I can tell DH that he can officially look forward to the BC:thumbsup2. BTW, does your family know about CL or is it a surprise?

I am the ONLY one that knows about GF, they all think we are doing a quick overnight stay at Pop;) And don't forget the nice jogs in the morning around Cresent Lake with DH:lovestruc It really sounds like a nice room you'll have at BC:goodvibes

And now I am inspired to request Coke Zero....maybe. I hate to be a pain for something so simple:confused3

OK! OK!:worship: I get it. I'm driving everybody nuts:squirrel:. I'm good with the BC. Really. All is good::yes::

There is no need to worry about the YC, Cinderumbrella! The only slightly negative concrete thing I can say is that they didn't greet us upon arrival. (You probably remember that story from another time.)

The reason I switched was because I missed the CR and the CR is DH's favorite and DH was deployed and I missed DH. Does that make sense? Also, we had done a split, but with AKL up front so there was no CR booked. For our upcoming trip, CR is booked for five nights, so we'll get our CR fix;).

That is great service. When we were at the YC, I asked it there was any Sprite Zero (your mom has good taste:thumbsup2), but they didn't have any. When we returned to our room in the evening, there was a 12-pack waiting for me on the dresser. Now, it would have taken me 12 days to get through it all, but I really appreciated them going out of their way like that.

DH just called and I told him the non-changing good news and mentioned that you reminded me about jogging around Crescent Lake. He's happy that he can stop wondering where he's staying after the CR:laughing:.

You're not being a pain at all by asking the IPO if they have Coke Zero (yum!) I remember seeing Diet Coke at other CLs, but I don't recall seeing Coke Zero. Just email the IPO and ask if they have it. If they don't, they'll probably make a note of it and stock your fridge with some:drinking1

So even DH doesn't know about the GF Suite? WOW! Can you keep a secret. How many nights at the GF are you staying if they think you're only staying one night at Pop? You will have to tell us all about how surprised they all were. You're such a great mom. They'll remember this forever.

Cinderumbrella is really good at keeping secrets, too. She surprised her son with a birthday trip, I think to the CR and I did not know how she could keep it a secret for so long.

The same thing happened a few years ago at the Contemporary on the Atrium Club floor. One evening we had returned and started talking to Jimmy who was one of their best Cast Members, however for family reasons we were told he had to move back to Tennessee. Anyway my Mom told him earlier in the day when we were at Walmart and she wanted to try Diet Cherry Coke, however the vending machine was sold out of it. We started talking about that because my Dad asked what requests have people made for drinks they didn't offer in the lounge, so that's when my Mom asked if she wanted could request Diet Cherry Coke, then told her the story from earlier that day. Anyway he said if she wanted some he could get it for her, however no thank you and was being serious. Well we then decided to visit the Grand Floridian and when we returned after 10:00 PM once the Cast Members had left for the evening, well when we walked back into our room there was a 6 pack bottles of Diet Cherry Coke. So Jimmy must have got them right away and was very fast finding some. Anyway a few days later when he was scheduled to work again my Mom thanked him for his great service.

Love these stories. Some majorly dedicated and thoughtful CMs, those were. :goodvibes

Not big on soda though I'm hoping they've got cranberry juice available or I might need to test Poly's CL magic-makers.

There's nothing left for me to do. *sigh* Booked the flights. Booked the "in-between" hotel on our one off-World day when we go up to visit my brother. Booked the rental car. Booked the mutt in at her boarding kennel (almost as expensive as our stay will be :scared1:). Parents are all booked up with their flights and hotel. Got my spreadsheet all ready to go.

I'm at a total loss -- adrift in the abyss of lurking the DIS boards. I need a new hobby. Ho hum. Guess it's time to go throw away the hubster's old, holey socks and busted-crotch pants as I can only do this when he's out-of-town. He's such a baby with clothes-attachment issues.

I know what you mean about the abyss part. I am ready to go.

My DH has issues with his clothes also. I have to bring the replacement item into the house prior to tossing the old.

Cranberry juice is readily available at the Polynesian in the morning. I always tested their magic maker skills by requesting tomato juice. :lmao:

I'm not worried about YC :goodvibes I just didn't want you to feel the way about the BC that you did about the YC (but since you get your CR fix on the same trip, and more importantly, your DH , then all is good!). I can't wait to read what you think about that big room!!!! (For what it is worth, the only place where we had a CL person greet us was the GF).

As for surprises, you are right, I did keep my big mouth shut for 7 months on that 2009 bday trip!! :faint: We also surprised him with last September's trip, but we only booked that one about 2 weeks before we left, so that was an easy secret ;) Both times we told him, the look on his face was PRICELESS! :goodvibes

My DH has issues with his clothes also. I have to bring the replacement item into the house prior to tossing the old.
:rotfl:

LOL, do you need to show it to him to calm his nerves before chucking the old stuff?

You've got two tickers going, SWEET! :thumbsup2

Ah, good choice -- maybe I should try a tomato juice or Spicy V8 request to keep them on their toes when I'm there.

Yes I do. It is like. Look honey I got you some new shirts. Do you think we can make room? Oh let's give these with the holes to the car was pile. He glasses over then he gives in.

Missoutandabout I completely understand about being done planning, and then we wait. It's like "all dressed up and nowhere to go..." My DH wears his holey stuff until it mysteriously gets eaten by the dryer monster;)

CRFan You have the best luck with CL Cast Members. I love it!:thumbsup2

Cinderumbrella 7 months keeping a surprise, total inspiration. I CAN do this for 4 1/2 more months:goodvibes I am hoping that they have a magical time, and its hard not talking to DH about it, but I have my friends at the DIS.

WDWKOOK You are not driving everyone nuts, you just need positive reinforcement.....that's what we are all here for:hug: Luckily I have a separate credit union account so he can't see the $$ we spent:laughing: We are doing 4 days (3 nights) at GF. This is my first secret in the 20 years we have been together....And I emailed the IPO about the Coke Zero (but I apologized in the email about bothering them for such a small request).

Good morning Conciergerees! (Like that word? It sounds a bit fancy.)

Sounds like we need a support group for wives of holey-clothes wearing dudes. Or maybe it's they who need the support group? :thumbsup2

I have a strange question, but it's DIS so we should all be used to this already, eh? ;)

If I wanted to email a comment to the Poly CL... but to whoever is in charge, not the planning office, is there a way to do this? Not for a complaint, just making a suggestion. Is this even possible? (For the curious folk -- that would include myself -- it's related to their crappy lounge coffee machine. :lmao:)

pas130 I booked a surprise trip in 09. I booked it about 2 months out...and barely kept it a secret. I suck at secrets!

But you did it, right? Did DS freak? He must have been SO excited

Ummm I made it to a week before lol He was SO excited, but of course he doesn't understand that I was planning that for 2 months and only was able to because of a very successful trip to Vegas that year. Now he thinks he can just decide he wants to go next week! :rotfl:
