Concierge/Club Level Information - Part III (October 2010)

I wish I had an answer for you. I have never tried to book a Disney Resort outside of the USA. Are you using this web address? If so, perhaps the time you are trying to book is sold out for CL for the dates. I just played with dates from June through July and found CL available at all of the resorts I tested, Animal Kingdom, Beach Club, and Polynesian. I can't imagine why your options would be limited, but then again--I'm here and you are there.

Give the link a try and see if it is different from the link to Disney you have in England. :confused3 Maybe I should try to book something from here to France and see if I am offered a CL booking? :confused3

EDITED to ADD: I guess I see what you are saying--it is a really intriguing website to book outside the USA. I was offered package deals, but little else. Perhaps you should follow the link and hope you can access what we see here. Really :confused3

Thankyou for replying!

Yep, that's the website i'm using! It's just so strange how on the UK website it didn't show a Club Level room for a certain date/hotel i randomly chose but on the US website it did.

Well i'll just keep at it & see if i do see any Club Level rooms for dates i can do. But i know there's only a small amount of them.

Hopefully persistence will pay off! :thumbsup2 *fingers crossed*

The international site is interesting to say the least. I put in random August dates and was able to pull up a CL room at BC, YC, and Poly. I also checked AKL but there was nothing.

What a nuisense! August is a no-go month for me & my boyfriend. :(

I do think the UK & US website's are different though.

I was just playing with the site because your post intrigued me lol. Sending lots of pixie dust that you're able to get what you want!

I'm looking for March-May & Sept-Nov. So i'll just keep trying!

Thankyou for that, i'm going to have to hope luck is on my side! :)

Don't know if it will help you but when I was pricing out different options over the course of a couple weeks, there were times that if I chose POLY as my hotel, it would come back with no availability, but if I chose the Contemporary for instance it would give me the POLY as an alternative. Not sure why though.

All you have to do is give them your dates and your confirmation number. If you have no requests you can just write something like, "My Gramma and I are looking forward to our first-ever stay at the Contemporary and our first club-level stay." Nothing fancy, this will simply serve to make them realize that they've never contacted you and they will then probably email an IPO request form to you which asks about your arrival time and method and any requests, etc... Just fill-out the applicable parts of the form and email it back to them.

Thanks! I just sent them an email. I figure I might as well get it done now since it looks like we are staying CL. This is very exciting! :)

That's weird. :confused3 Well i'm glad that the system isn't just playing up for me then...

I know they offer different packages and discounts for British residents so maybe that extends to room-only as well. Wondering if it's a situation of them not having rooms allotted for the UK only deals; sort of like how you can find no availability on Disney's own site, then check on Expedia or Travelocity and find rooms (because Expedia and the like have bought blocks of rooms). Have you tried your exact dates on Expedia.co.uk?

Hope you can nab something nice. :goodvibes

Yeah i was thinking that aswell. hmmmm. I might have to have a little shop around & see what's out there but i've only ever booked through the official websites for hotels! :confused3 In England we have a good few like Expedia etc but whether they're trustworthy is a whole other thing.

It's a very stressful thing trying to find the right room! :rotfl:

It is definitely stressful -- but so worth it in the end. ;) :wizard:

Just from personal experience, I've purchased both airline tickets and hotel reservations from both Travelocity and Expedia.com as well as their UK counterpart, Expedia.co.uk when we lived in Scotland with no problems whatsoever. Just make sure you read all the terms and conditions before you consider a purchase from these sites so you know exactly what you're getting.

Best of luck to you. :thumbsup2

I thought I might chime in...

I originally had a 40% PIN in January and booked the CR for the wk after Christmas. I had to change my date to the week after Thanksgiving. They could book me into the Poly with the 40% but, not the CR.

I ended up just booking the CR at rack rate. This is our first trip and I haven't been impressed with the pics I've seen of the Poly.

There is clearly something going on between the Poly and CR during the holiday season. I've clearly seen that-even as a newbie.

I do think the UK & US website's are different though.

Hi, I'm from the UK too :wave2: and usually book CL rooms. Unfortunately Disney UK has different availability than Disney US, I've currently got BC CL booked through Disney UK (with free dining) for the first part of my stay, with Poly CL booked for the second half, again through Disney UK. Disney UK only seems to offer a limited supply of CL rooms at BC/YC/GF/Poly, for more variety/availability you will need to book through Disney US.

It's worth keeping an eye on the Disney US website as they are sometimes room discounts, opposed to Disney UK which only seems to offer free dining, and deep discounts for OKW/SSR. I'm keeping an eye open myself re. discounts on the Disney US website for the last part of my trip as I'm probably going to 'tweak' the Poly Cl part.

It so is! I'm just desperate to go to WDW again & my boyfriend has never been but he's a big Disney fan! ;)

I will definitely have a good look around & see what i can find.. i'll also have a look on Expedia. :thumbsup2

Heeeeey! :wave2:

I thought so! Damn Disney UK! :( I have seen SOME Club Level room rates though but just not on the dates i can do, so suppose there is hope. *fingers crossed*

Me & my boyfriend like the BC so that will be my first choice for Club Level (& i'm sure i did see CL available on random dates i put in).

Oooh have you ever booked through the Disney US website before? Isn't that a bit confusing?

xo

You're welcome and YES! It is exciting:thumbsup2.

Did you get an email from the CR IPO today?:hyper:

My 180 day mark is tomorrow, so I emailed the Poly Itinerary planning. Less than an hour later I received a response ( real response, not the auto response) :).

Ok, I am going to burst if I don't tell someone. We were booked at the Dolphin for our June trip but when the summer code came out DH told me to switch to AKL CL as a surprise for our DS! We have stayed AKL before and it is our DS's favorite resort, but we have never stayed CL before. We had booked AKL CL back in 2009 but we were splitting the cost with my mom and she ended up bailing on us so we had to switch resorts:sad2: I am just so excited! I contacted IPO and booked the Sunrise Safari too. I am having a really hard time not slipping and accidentally telling DS. I want to talk about it all the time and all the secrets are killing me;)

Yes I did! It was very exciting to see the email when I got home from work. :goodvibes It's only one month away! I can't believe it. I'm gonna explode with happiness!
