Concierge/Club Level Information - Part II (Sept 2009)

We've loved our 2 visits to Loew's Royal Pacific with club level so can't imagine you would be unhappy with Portofino Bay. Just make sure you join the Loew's Frequent "flyer" program. Also, with the resort stay, you get unlimited "fast passes" to the major attractions, which is priceless no matter the season. Disney Club level is pretty lame compared to most major resorts so anything will be at least as good.

I could not agree more. We did 3 nts in March CL at RPH and it was super. Just returned Sunday from CL Beach Club and am still sad at how disappointing it was (and we have done CL there before). I think they should rename it the "Snack Floor" instead of Concierge. You will love RPH and I agree - sign up for Loews First. They will have a selected ammenity waiting in your room upon check in. Ours was a $25.OO chilled bottle of wine. :woohoo:

What didn't you like about BC CL? We've stayed there twice and loved it. Was it something specific?

Thanks.

Just checked in online for my flight tomorrow - tomorrow evening I'll be sitting on my balcony sipping wine and nibbling on appetisers from the InnKeepers Club :cloud9:

Had to ring them yesterday to finalise a couple of things, it was like calling 'home' , the CMs at the BWI are so fantastic, after my trip there last year it's now my 'special place' and I'll never stay anywhere else again.

Well, I don't know if BC is like BWI, but I wasn't as impressed with BWI as I had thought I'd be after reading reviews here.

The CMs were very friendly at BWI. Very nice to feel so welcome, but my fist complaint about BWI Innkeepers club was that they leave the draperies closed all the time. I love to be able to look outside while I'm relaxing.

I think my other complaint is the long walk to the Club Level area rooms, after coming in tired from a long hot day, I know it sounds sad, but seriously it felt like it went on forever.

I will say, the elevators at BWI are by far the fastest I've seen anywhere in Disney though, they definitely get bonus points for that.

I was so pleased last year to get a Boardwalk view, but our balcony was so small. With the door opening out, you could barely squeeze out there. I noticed though that balconies varied in size, so I guess that just depends.

I also was disappointed in the offerings. The RPC at GF, just seemed to have so much more and more to our taste and we also enjoyed that we could sit in the lounge anytime we wanted. At BWI it was locked up once the operating hours were passed. At RPC we often would go grab a soda out of the fridge after the CMs were gone as it was always stocked.

It's all personal though. Just didn't seem worth the extra $$$ to us.

I am due to make ADR reservations in a month, I wanted to ask IPO to make a reservation for us at CRT, if they manage to make it for us (we need an early sitting as MVMCP is on that night) can they arrange a chocolate slipper dessert for us as well?:)

Sounds great. Safe travels and have a wonderful time :wizard:

Does anyone know if the ClubLevel/Concierge staff would be able to arrange the special Birthday/Anniversary phone messages from Mickey and the Gang, or have a Birthday Card signed by the Mouse, sent up to the room? I wasn't sure if you can visit the Concierge and ask for those items, or if you need to visit the front desk in the lobby. Also, when asking for one of those services, how far in advance do they have to be notified? Could it be same day? Thanks in advance = )):goodvibes

I'm pretty sure that they can arrange a card, we stayed regular room at GF a few years back, I had noted DDs birthday on the reservation an the front desk CM mentioned it. On returning to the room one day we had a lovely photo card signed by Cinderella and a huge chocolate bar from the GF. Other DD had a have a great day type signed card too.

ok so I'm sitting here cl waiting for wishes at the Poly. I love the Poly stayed here on my honeymoon 22 years ago this week. My lesson, so sorry to offend, since I am one of the rabble. I don't like eating with everyone else at breakfast. I love the idea of eating a light breakfast alone with my own train wreck ;0). Also I don't ever have to do this again. My dvc will be enough. Gotta run parade showing

O-kay. You can always take your breakfast back to your room alone with your train wreck :confused3

My family will be staying at the GF in two weeks and it is our first time onsite and club level. Anyway, I made all of my ADR's before I knew about the IPO office. I was satisfied with the times and restaurants that I was able to book on my own. Yesterday, I booked a train tour for my husband and it conflicted with our Chef Mickey's breakfast reservation. I looked online to see if I could get a dinner reservation and of course they were all booked. I called the IPO office this morning and she was able to get me an ADR for 6:55PM on the very night that I was trying to book on my own!!!! I am so happy that we could reschedule and I am thankful for the IPO castmembers. :lovestruc

That's great and you are fortunate. We are staying GF RPC again this year. Last year, when I asked for help getting us a specific reservation, I ended up having more luck doing it myself.

Sometimes things just open up at the right time. They told me they really couldn't get reservations that weren't available in the system. Not sure if that's true or not, but either way congrats on getting what you need and enjoy your stay. GF is the best:-)

I hope you have a great stay and get all of the ADR's that you want. We will be in Sugarloaf, but I have heared that RPC is amazing.

How is eating in the CL Lounge any different than eating alone at Captain Cooks?? :confused3 In both places you are more than welcome to take a tray back to your room to be "alone with your own train wreck" ;)
