Hi everyone! Sorry there are no photos of food. We would just dive into our food and kept forgetting to take pictures!!LOL So here we go!
Who ate:
Me(31)
DH(34)
DD(9)
DS(4)
DBIL(29)
DSIL(30)
DBIL and DSIL joined us on a few of our dinners.

We were staying at BWV

I just wanted to note that at every CS we were not charged seperately for kids and adult meals. At every TS we were charged seperately for the kids credits.

Day 1
After checkin we went to the BW to eat lunch. We wanted something light so we paid OOP for food at Boardwalk To Go. So this started my hording of dinning credits!LOL We ordered a grilled chicken sandwich basket that came with fries and a drink, cheese fries, chicken fingers basket which came with fries and a drink, and a powerade drink for the kids to share. We all shared and with tax this came out to $22.25. Everything was very good. Definately would eat from here again and we have eaten here in the past. The food is consistantly good. My only complaint is we can't use the DDP here!;)

Dinner:
Concourse Steakhouse
Our ressie was for 5:30. We arrived at that time and were seated within 5 min. DBIL and DSIL were late but they were kind enough to seat us and let us look over the menu until they arrived. Our waitress was Noriko and she was fantastic! We were off to a great start! She was going to let us order one of the smoothies(non alcoholic) as our beverage, no refills on that. If we wanted a soda we would pay OOP for it. Or we could do that in reverse. You get free refills on the soda. We didn't order anything OOP, DBIL and DSIL ordered 2 drinks and they put that on a seperate bill. They also were on the DDP and we had seperate checks. Rolls and butter were brought out right away with our drinks. For appetizers we had, onion rings for myself, Mozzarella and tomato salad for DH, mixed green salad for DSIL, and lobster bisque for DBIL. We all loved what we ordered. Everything was cooked perfectly, brought out in a timely manner and hot and just really tasty. The kids got a salad each and we were able to omit the ranch dressing abd have vinager and oil which my kids both like. For entrees, DH and DBIL ordered the filet mignon. Bothe cooked differently and both came out exactly as ordered. They were happy! DSIL got the prime rib and she ate it all!!LOL I guess she really liked it! I had the roasted half chicken. Now to me, and I'm very picky, the chicken was a little dry. The potatoes were good, but I didn't care for the sauce it all sat it. It tasted a little like cinnamon?:confused3 DS had the hamburger, which he ate half of. Typical 4 year old! DD is lactose intollerant and we didn't note it on any of our ressies because if she takes her meds before eating anything with lactose she is fine. So we had he meds and she enjoyed the mac n' cheese. The kids then got to make their own sundae for dessert. This was just vanilla icecream, with little cups with chocolate fudge, sprinkles, and a cherry. They loved it! DSIL ordered the carrot cake for dessert. She said it was OK. The rest of us had the triple chocolate cake. We all only liked the cake part of it!LOL I know we are weird, but I should add that DH and I would not normally order dessert and are just not dessert people. The kids bill was about $15. The bill for DH and myself was $99.08. 4 TS credits used. I don't know how much DBIL bill was . I know his bill for the drinks(2) was $20. He didn't stop complaining and he is cheap, so DH paid their bill!LOL

The service was great and we had a really good experience here. However, we wouldn't go back because we feel it really wasn't anything special. It was good, not over all out of this world. The atmosphere didn't bother us with the monorail overhead and the noice from Chef Mickey's, but maybe once it moves, and the menu changes a bit we will give it another try. I wouldn't tell anyone to stay away from it.

That night we went to EMH at the MK. We used 3 snack credits for a soda and 2 orders of fries from Casey's Corner. They were so yummy and really hit the spot!

Up next, Sunshine Seasons, Fish n' chips in the UK, Refreshment Port, and B&C.

Day 2
We went to Epcot so we all had different CS here. DH's favorite is Fish and Chips in the UK and no trip would be complete without him getting some! So for lunch DH had Fish and Chips and they were just as good as usual. He loves them! For 1 CS credit he got 2 fish strips, french fries, a soda, and a bay of Lays potato chips. He could've gotten biscuits instead of the chips, but didn't want them.

Refreshment Port
This was an incredible amount of food for 1 CS credit. We couldn't believe it. I know it's McDonalds and the kids should have something different while at WDW, but that's what they wanted! So, for 1 CS credit we got a large drink, 9 piece chicken nuggets, large fries, and a McFlurry. It would've been $13 and change. The kids enjoyed it and it was typical McD's food. Great for them!

Sunshine Seasons
Now this has always been my favorite and I usually get the same thing. The rotisserie chicken flat bread. Well, it is no longer on the menu!! I was mad. So, I headed over to the Asian section and got food there. Nothing was marked here as far as the DDP was concerned. No where did it tell you what you are entitled to as a snack or CS. I had to ask and the servers looked used to being asked this same question over and over, LOL. Anyway, I was able to get anysize drink, any dessert, and from the Asian section 2 entree items and 2 side items. I choose white rice, broccoli, spicy chicken, and beef stir fry and a brownie as my dessert. The bill was approx. $14. I have eaten this food here before and before the DDP the portions were bigger. I felt the girl serving skimped on the meat. Anyway, it was good, but not great. We used another snack credit to get DS an ice cream here.

Beaches and Cream
We had no plans to eat here. We had the kids at the Sandcastle Club so we decided to get some dinner here. We paid OOP because I didn't feel it was worth waisting a TS credit on. I'm so glad we did it this way. DH and I shared a ceasar salad for an appy. It was so good. We have eaten here mantimes before and the ceasar salad has always been one of our favorites. DH had a cheese burger and I had a grilled chicken sandwhich. Both came with fries. We each had a soda. The food was really good and the service was excellent. We sat at the counter and got to watch the guy making the kitchen sink desserts which was so cool to see!! There was 4 made the time we were there. The bill came to $28.60 with tax, before tip. Great food, great service, great amount of food, and a fun atmosphere. What more could you ask for!!! We'll definately go back.

Up next, Cosmic Rays at MK, and Kona Cafe.

Day 3
Cosmic Ray's Starlite Cafe
We tried this place because of all the good reviews it has gotten on the DIS. Well we are so glad we did because as far as CS goes, this was the BEST!!!! It was like TS food for a CS price. There is plenty of seating available and lots to choose from as far as food is concerned. We all ordered something from the same section. DD had the kids chicken salad. It was a regular salad with grilled chicken slices on top. She was able to get the dressing she liked, which I believe was an vinagerette. It came with a small cup of fries, and apple sauce and a drink. DS got the chicken nuggets with fries, and applesauce, and a drink. They both loved their food and ate most of it except the apple sauce. DH ordered the rotisseri chicken with half a rack of ribs which came with carrots and mashed potatoes and a drink. He choose a brownie for dessert. He said everything was really good, except the ribs. They were tasty but very dry and hard to chew. He said he would just get the chicken next time. That is what I ordered, The rotisseri chicken with mashed potatoes, carrots, a drink and a brownie for dessert. OMG. it was so good!! The chicken was tasty and juicy. The carrots were so full of flavor and the mashed potatoes were perfect! The kids ate the brownies and we were all really full and so happy we ate here! The bill would've been $50, but we used 4 CS credits. Great deal for so much food and such good quality for a CS. A must do next time!

Kona Cafe
Let me just start this off by saying this was our favorite meal and best TS experience last time we were there in Nov. I recommend it all the time here and we were looking foward to it and had really high hopes. We check in at my ADR time. They tell me I have the wrong time. I have the ADR # and time with me, but they were off by 15 min. I thought no big deal, we'll wait. She said we would be seated within 10 min. The place wasn't busy, there weren't a lot of people waiting to get in. We were seated at 6:25.(20 mins later) As we sat down I just had a bad feeling. Our waitress looked like she was having a rough time, like she was flustered with the 2 tables of 4 people each she was waiting on. After 15 mins, and her whizzing by saying she'll be with us shortly, she finally came over to us. She was rushing, talking fast and wanted our orders. We gave them to her. She didn't explain the plan like the other waitress did at the CCSH. She was just rude and seemed put out by having to take care of us. Like I said we watched her and she only had 2 other small parties to wait on. I have no idea what her deal was. Anyway, we tried not to let it get to us because this was our favorite place last time and we had DBIL and DSIL with us. Our drinks finally come. Then another 10 mins and we finally get bread. Now last time we were there the bread and the dipping oil they served was so good we had seconds. We were really looking foward to it. Well, they no longer serve it! We were disappointed and so was DD because she liked the old one so much. This bread was fine, normal bread, nothing special, with some type of macadamia nut butter. None of us liked it. When I asked the waitress what happened to the old bread, she said quit nastily we don't have it anymore, and I like this one better! I was like, OK, I liked the old one better. She never told me why they changed it, but whatever. Our appy's come out and everything was good. I ordered the sticky wings, which were the same as last time and very good. DH got the pot stickers which he liked and said were very good. DBIL got the lump crab cakes which he liked and he helped me eat my sticky wings which he really liked too. DSIL got the ceasar salad and she said it was good. OK, so the meal was getting better and we were happy. The kids both had a garden salad and neither of them ate it. Ranch dressing and no substitutes, as our waitress told us. I really have to LOL about her now. She was just crazy. Anyway, out came our entrees. I had the same as last time. Beef teriyaki. It was cooked well, exactly as I ordered it, and had brocolli and mashed potatos. It was very good, just like I remembered! I was happy! DH and DBIL both ordered the filet mignon again and enjoyed it. Both were cooked exactly how they wanted. DSIL had the Pan Asian Noodles and ate the whole thing she liked it so much!! DD had the mac n cheese and ate half of it. DS had the grilled chicken strips meal. Now this didn't come the way the menu states on allearsnet. He was able to get the salad for an appy, then this meal and dessert. The chicken wasn't strips, but 3 small pieces of grilled chicken. They were served hot along with elbow macaronies with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese melted on top. I had some of it just to see how it was and it was very good. DS ate a lot of the chicken but didn't like the macaronis. There was nothing wrong with them, he just wasn't in the mood. For dessert the kids had ice cream sundaes. DSIL had the white chocolate cheesecake which she loved and ate the whole thing!!(it was small but just the right amount she said) DH, DBIL, and myself all had the Kona Cone. I know we're big kids, but who can resist that cone and it comes with cotton candy too!!LOL It was good but none of us could finish it. During the whole meal our waitress just kept ruining our mood. Little things she did that just added up and by the end of the meal we had it. She was rushing us, hovering over us, taking dishes away when we weren't even finished. Things like that. We really tried letting it all go, but then she did something and I was ready to kill her, LOL :lmao: DS had been coloring on paper and coloring pages he gad gotten at the lobby of the POLY. They had a little area where the kids were able to color and he was given some sheets to keep him busy at our dinner. Which was so nice of the ladies that were there. So, he had been happily coloring the entire dinner. He was so proud of his pictuers he drew of Mickey Mouse Club House, etc... Well in one quick swoop by our table, the waitress grabed all his pictures, crumbled them up and took off!!! I know she was trying to clean off our table. I also know the place wasn't busy, no one was beating down the door to get in. Maybe she was going home after we left and just wanted to get rid of us, who knows. Well when she did this it happened so quick I didn't even have time to really react, I was in shock. Well, DS starts screaming and crying and now I'm ready to let this woman have it. We never saw her again!! She disappeared. We got the manager and she really acted like she could care less. We complained about everything and all the manager said was, well you should have told me and I would've gotten you another waitress. She was right we should've but we tried to let it go but once the incident with my DS happened we lost it. Well the manager goes to the back to see if she can find his drawings and comes back out with them and they were obviously in the garbage!! There was food all over them and they were crumpled up. She said, well just let the food dry and they should be fine. WHAT!!!!???:scared1: Yeah like I'm going to give my kid something that was in their garbage. We just looked at her like she was crazy and left. We went down to the lobby and of course no one was by the craft/coloring station anymore. We told the CM's that were there what had happened and they felt so bad for DS, who was still crying. They were so kind, and went out of their way to get a huge stack of coloring pages and crayons for him!!! That cheered him up. So that was our experience at the Kona. I have no idea how much the bill would've been because we never saw that portion of the receipt. She also didn't seperate the kids meals on 2 different receipts like the other TS locations did. She did charge us correctly for 2 kids TS credits and 2 adults. So as you can tell the service was terrible, but the food was really good. Unfortunately it's not worth going out of my way for again. Sadly we will not return. I don't want to chance another bad experience and there is nothing else on the menu I would like to try, same for DH. Maybe if we were staying at the POLY, but we are DVC'ers and when at those resorts, we really have to go out of our way, with no rental car, just to get to the POLY. It's just not worth it to us.

Up next, Toy Story Pixxa Planet, and 50's PTC.

You know, Kona used to be our favorite place to eat too, until we had a bad experience with a waitperson a few years ago. I'm sure its still wonderful, but after such a bad experience, we won't go back, either.

Was your waitress named Angela by chance? :rotfl:

No, not Angela. Sorry you had a bad experience too. It really can take away from the dining experience even if the food is good.

Day 4
Toy Story Pizza Planet
Went here for an early lunch. It wasn't too crowded and we found a table upstairs. I never knew there was an upstairs!LOL This was our first time here. We will definately go back. We used 4 CS credits and me and the kids had regular pizza and DH got the veggie pizza. We all had cookies for dessert, chocolate chip and sugar, drinks and each meal also came with a salad. A huge amount of food and well worth the credits. It would've been $50. The pizza wasn't great, but perfect amount and good tasting. We all liked it.

50's Prime Time Cafe
We come here every trip. The service is always good and the food is consistant and delicious. This time was the same. We arrived at our ADR time and waited an additional 10 min to be seated. It was very busy in there. When we sat down, I realized I didn't have DD's lactaid pills with us. There was nothing on the kids menu she wanted that didn't have dairy! So we told our waitor, Charlie, who was fantastic, that DD was lactose intollerant and if there was anything we could get her differently than on the menu. They had a pasta dish and we really just wanted the pasta plain. He went in the back and he said it would be fine. They also had a butter substitute that tasted like popcorn butter, but had no dairy!! DD was very happy. Her meal came with the salad, a drink and she had fruit for dessert. DS had the chicken nuggets and we skipped an appetizer for him. We asked if the fries could be substituted for corn and again Charlie came through for us. He was such a great waitor!! For appy's DH ordered the shrimp cocktail which he loved and ate it all. I had the ceasar salad and it was very good and alot of it so I couldn't finish it. We both had the pot roast and it was great as usual! We ate it all!!! For dessert DH had the brownie sudae and I had the smores. Great but we couldn't finish it all!! Our waitor asked whee else we had ADR's and he went out of his way to add a note on our ressies about DD. I should've done that myself just incase I forgot her meds. Anyway, we had a great experience here. Great service and great food. We gave Charlie and extra tip for being so wonderful and funny too! He kept yelling at me for having my elbows on the table!LOL It was a lot of fun and we will keep going back!

Up next, Restaurantosaurus, pizzafari, and Spoodles.

We had originally planned on this being a day at the pool. Well we felt bad we didn't take the kids to AK. They really wanted to go and we haven't been on our past 2 trips so we were due for a visit. Boy do I wish we would've just stayed at the pool!!LOL

Day 5
Restaurantosaurus
First the cashier was rude, the place was a mad house and we should've walked away!LOL But DH wanted a burger, DS wanted chicken nuggets so here we were. We used 3 CS credits which I feel were waisted. DH got a double cheeseburger basket which came with fries, a drink and he ordered a brownie for dessert. I ordered a happy meal for each kid. I was told it came with the nuggets, fries, a toy, a drink and a dessert. All our food was pilled on one tray so until we got seated I didn't see what was on it. Well, no dessert for DH and none for the kids either. I was annoyed because I specifically asked about the kids dessert and was yelled at by the cashier that it comes with the happy meal and wopuld be in it. So I go up to where they give out the food and the girl there felt bad and gave me 2 brownies. Then I saw that the kids dessert was that horrid jello, so I said keep it because I know my kids won't eat it. Now I had forgotten that AK doesn't do tops to their drinks or offer straws. My DS has had many issues and was a preemie. His issues had a lot to do with feeding and swallowing. So this no straw thing was an issue. But we dealt with it in the mood of conservation and helping out the animals, whatever. The klids nuggets and fries were fine. DH hamburger, was edible. When we found a table to sit at it was outside part of the restaurant with tables with umbrellas. We thought we had a perfect spot, and so did others. Until people were smoking next to us. I was annoyed but then noticed it was a smoking section!!!! Why on earth would they put a smoking section in a seating area for a restaurant?:confused3 At this point I hadn't eaten and everything was starting to bother me, LOL! I didn't like or want the food there so when they were all done we walked over to pizzafari.
Pizzafari
What a great experience, completely opposite of the other place! I let DH find a table while I ordered. I knew DD was still hungry because all she ate were fries. I used 2 CS credits here. I got a cheese pizza, (4 large)breadsticks with dipping sauce, 2 large drinks, and 2 pieces of chocolate cake. I paid OOP for a side ceasar salad, $1.49. This was well worth the credits and the piza was very good. The breadsticks were really good too! I don't see us rushing back to the AK, but if we are there we would eat at Pizzafari again. Now as I'm looking at the food, I noticed that the cake came in a plastic container and had a plastic cover. Why have these and then no plastic covers for your drinks?:confused3

Spoodles
We had ADR's for 5pm. We had them changed to 7:50pm. We wanted to go over to SSR, from the AK to add on points at the AKV. Note to self, never take the bus from AK to SSR!!! It took us an hour and a half!! Yes we know for sure because we timed it and the bus now has that handy date and time thinging across the back of the drivers chair. Anyway, we arrived at Spoodles and had a 10 min wait. We watched some entertainment on the BW to kill time. We have eaten here before and it has always been a favorite of ours. Now I was alittle nervouse because the menu had changed. We were seated and had another great waitor!! Very friendly and he had the chef come out and talk with DD to help prepare her a meal she can enjoy. This chef was so wonderful! He offered to make her anything she wanted! It was only his 2nd week there. He was over at the YC/BC before. DD decided she wanted the pasta with the butter substitute like the night before and he brought it to her with no problem! DS had a salad as an appy and they let us get it with vinegar and oil instead of ranch dressing. The chef also let DD try the rice cream and the tofutti to see which she liked better for a dessert. She picked the tofutti and he gave her all the trimming to make a sundae. He came out to us at least 4 times to make sure everything was OK. Really fantastic guy. Our waitor was alittle slow. It took awhile for our drinks to come. We got our appetizers before the bread was given to us. But no big deal. DD got the chicken noodle soup as an appy, but didn't really like it. DH and I tried it and it was very good. DS had the mac and cheese and ate a lot of it. He was happy, but tired. DH ordered the calamari for an appy. He had to ask for marinara sauce because it didn't come with any. He said it was very good and ate most of it. I ordered the margherita flat bread. It was just OK. It could've used alittle more flavor. Also I would've liked it if the mozarella wasn;t melted. I use to get a similar appy that was so good. This wasn't it and I was disappointed. For entrees DH had the rigatoni dish, which he always gets and said was good. I got the Kabobs. They good and cooked perfectly. I didn't care for the rice it came with. It was just an OK meal for me. For dessert the kids made the icecream sundae, which they love doing! DH had the gelato and I had a sundae. Both were good. Our waitor was great and we did leave him an extra tip. He didn't rush us, kept or drinks full and checked back often to make sure we were OK. He was friendly and professional. The bill would've been $112.42. We used 4 TS credits. I would still tell others to give Spoodles a try. We don't see ourselves going back unless the menu offers something else we like.

Up next, our last day! CS at the BW Bakery and Mama Melrose lunch.

Day 6
Mama Melrose
This was check out day and I booked this because we have liked it in the past and it was close to the resort. We get there and have to wait about 5 min to be seated. Our waitor was good and had the chef come out to talk about DD's meal. The waitor from 50's had it noted on all our ressies that she had an allergy. So, she wanted pasta again! But they did not have the butter substitute. The chef didn't know what it was. He did some research and he found out all about it and told us which was very nice of him. He made DD the plain pasta and brought olive oil out for her to use. She was fine and ate half her meal. The kids both ordered the salad as an appy and they were able to get it with balsamic dressing and they both finally ate thier salads!!LOL We were surprised to see no bread is served for the table. It's now an appetizer! So, I ordered the artisan breads with dips and DH had the tomato and mozarella salad. The one at Concourse was better, but this one was good too. We all shared my appy and it was just OK. DS ordered the pizza and I wish I would have too!!LOL It looked really good and he was happy. DH and I had the chicken parm and it came with pasta. It was a smaller portion than when we had it for lunch in Nov. and at that time we also got the bread and dips automatically on the table. The menu was different from that last time. The food was good but I could tell it wasn't sitting well with me. For dessert DD had the tofutti. He brought out chocolate at first, which she didn't order, but quickly got her the right one. DS had the sundae. DH and I ordered the gelato. I didn't eat mine and DH and DS split the 2 of them. DS wouldn't eat his sundae because it had chocolate fudge on it. After leaving I had a stomach ach for the next 2 hours! None of the other places we ate made me get this way. Our bill totaled $92.51 and we used 4 TS credits. We won't be going back here. The food made me sick, I know it was just me because DH didn't get sick. The food just didn't sit well with me. It was also mediocra food and we have had better. For us 50's is a far better choice at MGM.

We spent a little time at MGM before we had to be back at the BW to catch DME. It was about3:00 and DH and DD were hungry. We were at the BW and got some CS at the BW Bakery.

BW Bakery
The kids option was PB&J. DD doesn't eat this so we asked if the panini could have things omited from it. They said sure before they heat it up they copuld take some things out. So we ordered DD the Turkey without cheese. She didn't want it warmed up. It came with chips, a drink and a dessert. Anything there and she ordered a donut. She hated the sandwhich, which was huge, and had about 4 bites. She ate the donut! DH had the turkey panini and it had I believe provalone cheese, lettuce and some type of flavored mayo. He said it was OK but couldn't eat it all. He also got a drink and chips and for dessert we ordered a cupcake for DS. He actually didn't like the frosting which is rare for him! Usually that's all he eats. He ate the entire cake portion of it! We shared the chips and saved a bag for the plane. We really hate the lack of CS options at the BW. Only one place offers it and it has a limited menu. We used 2 CS credits and you do get a lot of food for the credits. Go there if you like paninis and are hungry! The menu was also different than the one on allearsnet.com

Snacks
After hoarding our snack credits for the first few days we found we had a lot to use in little time! So we started using them up and these are what we got for snack credits:
2 liter bottle of soda at the BW store
Large bag of Lays potato chips
Onion dip
Large bag of Doritos
icecream at Sunshine Seasons
Fries and drinks at Casey's
Drinks at the parks
2 mickey bars
itsakadoozie
Juice
Water
Mickey gummies
Box of Mickeyroni and cheese

To sum it all up, we saved money on the DDP, had a ton of food and would do it again! Next time we will try some new places. We will also stick to using our TS credits for dinner. We feel you get the most from it that way. Also we will eat all lunches early, like at 11:30am and have dinner ADR's for 6:30pm or later. The lunches are huge and if we get hungry in between lunch and dinner we can have a snack. Thanks for reading my reviews and I hope it helps someone!!

Thanks for the review. Sorry to hear about Kona's we were thinking about eating there. Now I am rethinking it.

Thanks for the great reports! I am writing down your server's name at PT 50s in case Claire isn't there the day we go, I love to ask for someone who comes so highly recommended. I'm torn now about Mama Melrose, I've heard a few bad reviews now I'm not sure what to do... Thanks again, you were detailed and honest! :thumbsup2

Enjoyed reading ~ Thanx for sharing.

Are you saying your counter service credits were not divided between adult credits and children credits? Were they pooled and then TS were divided?
