January 29th, 2017 (Part 7)

Frozen Ever After!
After grabbing our super awesome buttons, we booked it over to Norway to ride Frozen Ever After.

I’m not sure if I mentioned but we had booked a DAS for it earlier in the day and it was finally time to use it. With our DAS (which is basically the equivalent of a Fastpass if you’re unfamiliar with it), we only had to wait 15-20 minutes. We ate some snacks and caught up on social media while we waited. The stand-by line was insane, the whole time all I could think about was the poor parents with Elsa-obsessed children who had to wait in such a long line with cranky kids.

I thought the ride was cute and fun but kind of disappointing (especially because of my quirky love for the Maelstrom). I was also surprised about how jolting the little hill was. My back was pretty sore after banging against the backrest. All in all, I thought it was a sweet ride but again, after thinking again about the poor parents who wait hours in line for their child and then that’s all they get, I would be pretty disappointed. I don’t know, I love Frozen as much as the next person but I feel like Disney could have made the ride more exciting.

We exited through the gift shop. My mom loves HelleyHansen so I took bunch of pictures of what they had there. I didn’t end up buying anything though- I thought they had some cute things!

We also did some pin trading and got our Duffy’s stamped, the CM who helped us out was something else. All I'm saying is all the Sweedish people I've ever encountered have been BEAUTIFUL

After we left the gift shop, it was time to leave EPCOT and hit up our final park for the day. Dang, I’m actually so surprised at the amount of things we were able to do in just one day!

We headed over to the check-in for the express busses, while we waited I discovered my favorite bathrooms on Disney property. They are right across from the side of Spaceship Earth. They were kind of tucked away so they weren’t busy and they were basically immaculate. My family always makes fun of me for chronicling my bathroom stops but I definitely thought this was worth mentioning.

We got on the MK bus with one other couple and were on our way. We were both so exhausted by this point and Rachel felt one of her POTS episodes coming on so we both attempted to lay down across the bus seats. It was pretty uncomfortable though so I’m not sure if it did either of us much good.

When we arrived to MK we walked straight over to Space Mountain and used our paper Fastpass! We barely had to wait any time and were on in no more than 10 minutes. I freakin’ love this ride. It is always so much fun and such a thrill! We hopped off of the ride and took the moving sidewalks (I almost love them as much as the actual ride itself ) and came back out in Tomorrowland.

There was a dance party going on so we danced our way over to Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin.

We also spotted some water creations!

BLSRS (Is that an abbreviation? Idk, I think I made it up. Lol) was literally walk on which was surprising- Tomorrowland seemed to be pretty busy. Anyway, remember when I got so excited about actually winning on TSMM? Well this is why… I STINK at these kinds of rides. Personally, I think it takes talent to only get 8,000. I mean, it took a lot of work to miss so many targets.

After that, we headed across the hub and over to Adventureland becuase it was finally time for my Disney tradition. ITS DOLE WHIP TIMEEEE.

January 29th, 2017 (Part 8)

Gettin' All Nostalgic At Town Square Theater
We made our way over to Adventureland and up to Aloha Isle. There wasn't anybody in line so we went right up to the counter and ordered our Dole Whips.

Now, I'm not sure if I have mentioned this but the week we were there was the same time that a BUNCH of College Program kids had arrived/begun their training. This was true for some people working at Aloha Isle. One girl in particular was swirling the ice cream into the cups. It was clear she was new and was struggling a bit, I can't image how difficult it would be to start working in such a popular place. But the straw that broke the camel's back was her manager who should have been helping her was obviously upset with her/ laughing at her. Rachel and I felt so bad for her- looking back, we really should have gone to guest services and reported that manager. I felt like their actions were such a poor presentation of the company. Not to mention, the poor CP was one the verge of tears as she made our Dole Whips.

We both decided that it was way too cold to be eating ice cream as it was in the low 50's after the sun had gone down. We decided to take our foot into the Tiki Room so we could eat in the warmth. There were barely ten people in line a head of us so we knew that we would get a good seat.

While we were waiting for the next show, a family came in line behind us. When the Mom saw our Dole Whips, she told her family that those looked like the things that all of the Disney people were obsessed with. We turned around and told her (probably) more than she wanted to know about the greatest things on earth.

Shortly after, the doors opened up and I had my very first Enchanted Tiki Room experience! Now, I am a lover of most quirky original Disney attractions but I must say, I was not a fan of this one. I don't know what it was but I found all the birds slightly creepy. Oh well, I'm still glad I got to see it thought because it is something in the pack that Walt had a personal hand in creating.

After the show was over we headed on over to Frontierland and got in the stand-by for BTMRR. The wait was only 15 minutes! I feel like the cold may have scared a lot of the people away.

I love all of the mountains in MK for different reasons but this one in particular is just so fun. We usually like to ride it looking backwards but we realized as soon as the ride was over that we forgot to do it! It was still great though, I think it's definitely more thrilling at night.

It was finally time to meet the 4th Mickey in the 4th park of the day. We walked down to Town Square Theater and hopped in line.

It was only a thirty minute wait. This was my very first time seeing talking Mickey and I was beyond excited!

This was a specific place in Magic Kingdom that I clearly remember reading about in Jess' TR long before I ever became a Diser. It was almost surreal to finally be visiting the place myself and getting to take pictures for my own TR!

We ran into a character attendant who let us into the meet and greet area. We began talking to her and she finally said, "you two seem really familiar". Rachel told her that she had just been there in October and she probably saw her then. The CM remember that she had seen us on our very first morning in MK at the Princess Fairytale Hall. I was so impressed that she remembered us from two days ago!

Ugh, I hate when managers don't do what they're supposed to. -_- I've had some GREAT experiences with managers in Disney, but I always think back to a horrible one at Pop a few years ago who refused to help the CM helping us when we stood there for over an hour. Ugh. Poor girl - hopefully it doesn't sour the rest of her CP!

It was okay, this is my second time staying there. Theme-wise I would prefer ASMu or ASMo but it usually the cheapest resort and when I am only there to sleep, I can't complain!

January 29th, 2017 (Part 9)

We Did It!!!
It was our turn to meet Mickey in no time, I’m pretty sure it was much less time than 30 minutes. The PP guy and character attendant were in such good spirits for it to be pretty late. They were both more than willing to take some great pictures for us. We told Mickey that we had met him in all four parks on that day. He got so excited and told us how great it was.

I was actually surprised how quick Mickey’s responses were, and that they made sense. I was also surprised how sassy he was, when the PP guy told us to smile mickey kept saying “Cheese…. Havarti…. Cheddar”.
He was also having some banter between the character attendant. Overall, I think we had a great talking Mickey experience. I was slightly worried that I wouldn’t like meeting him but I loved it!

Well folks, it's official- we did 4 parks in one day and met Mickey in every park! I had my doubts but WE DID IT!

It was now about 45 minutes before Wishes started (Side note: I can't believe Wishes is no longer a thing) we were both a little hungry so I ran over to Casey's and Rachel found a good spot on the hub grass. While I was standing in line, I spotted a sign for a new mac and cheese hot dog. I mean, I love hot dogs and I love mac and cheese but this sounds gross

I opted for some corn dog nuggets and some fries for us to share. This was my first time eating case and it was THE BEST DECISION EVER. I brought them back over to Rachel and plopped down beside her. She was on their phone with her Mom and I caught up on some social media and called my mom too.
I live for these corn dog nuggets now, they were heavenly

We had a pretty great view of the castle, our only complaint was that we were freezing cold.

Wishes started soon after though so that distracted us from our shivering.

That was, until inconsiderate people stood up in front of everyone sitting on the hub grass and nearly blocking our view of the castle. Rachel eventually had to get up and ask some people to move. The lady wasn't too happy about it

Ahh, is the castle not the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?

After the show, we had about an hour before closing. We decided we wanted to try to get It's a Small World, Haunted Mansion, and Peter Pan's Flight knocked out before the end of the night.

January 29th, 2017 (Part 10)

We Have The Park All To Ourselves!
Of course, I had to run over to the Tangled bathrooms before we jumped on IASW. I sent Rachel to take some pictures while I was in there. When I came out I walked by her and started walking down the ramp before she noticed! She was too wrapped up getting me some good pictures.

We literally walked on our boat, we were both SO excited! We snapped this picture of the boats behind us and it looks like we took some stranger's family picture

We may have been up for over 12 hours but we were still super hype for Its a Small World!

We basically jumped off of our boat and ran over to Haunted Mansion.

Again, this was basically walk on- I feel like there is more of a creep factor while riding HM at night. Rachel also has this creepy theory about this ride which I won't share with you because you will never see the ride the same again .

The park had just a few minutes until close but we made it to Peter Pan's Flight!

I was so impressed with all that we had got done that day! Once we got off the ride, the park was officially closed. We still wondered around in the back of the park, enjoying how empty it was!

We also took the opportunity to take advantage of the sword in the stone while there weren't any people around.

The frumpiness was real

We looped on around to Fantasyland

On our way back to the castle, we saw another cast member doing water paintings, this one was so cute!

We made it up to the castle just in time to see the Kiss Goodnight which is something that I have been wanting to see!

It basically felt like we were the only ones in the park, Rachel wanted to get some pictures of the Mickey ears with her new puppy's name on it. I think they turned out super cute!

In case you're wondering how we were feeling at this point, here's a accurate representation.

And to top it all off, here is a rare photo of a wild Hollye-saurus rolling around on the ground of her natural empty habitat. What can I say, we were slap happy.

It was finally time to head on out of the park for the night!

We got back to the room and fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow!

January 30th, 2017 (Part 1)

The One That Got Away...
All right Ladies and Gents, who's ready to kick off our last day of this trip? I'm already sad that I won't have any updates to write here in a little bit. I guess I'll just have to plan another trip to cheer myself up...

As you can imagine after doing 4 parks in one day and closing out MK the night before, our feet were dragging a little bit. But then we were reminded that there is NO SLEEPING IN DISNEY because we had an 8:40 breakfast reservation we needed to get to! We got ready as quick as we could and rushed down to the bus stop a little later than we wanted to be. We saw an EPCOT bus sitting in front of the hotel and thanked our lucky stars we ran through the queue and ran up to the bus just as the bus driver CLOSED THE DOORS AND DROVE AWAY.
....
....
....
We were shocked. The bus driver clearly could see us and the bus wasn't full. Nope, he just left us hanging.
The bright side is, while waiting for the next EPCOT bus, we started chatting with this older lady and her husband who were having sort of a family reunion in that day. She said she hadn't been to the parks in years and wanted to know what the best things were to do. We probably told her more than she wanted to know and even told her how to go book fastpasses. That passed the time pretty quickly and a bus finally came for us. As we boarded our wonderful motor coach, it was time for our reservation. Thankfully Disney usually has about a 20 minute grace period so we prayed we would make it there in time.

When we pulled up to the park and made it through bag check, we realized that they didn't have a special line for pre-opening reservations because the park was about to open. We had to stand in line with all of the other guests which delayed us even more.

By the time we had done Mickey-to-Mickey we were flat out running to The LAND. I'm not sure how we had any energy to run, it must've been the thought of Mickey Waffles powering us through. As we are sprinting to The LAND someone calls out from behind us "WALK PLEASE!" I didn't turn around to see if it was a CM or a guest, we just kept going. No rule is unbreakable when you are late for a reservation amirte?

We finally made it up to the podium panting and sweating and explained that our bus had left us. The CM's were more than understanding and handed us a pager. We both went and said down, already feeling like it was time for a nap.

We barely waited 5 minutes before we were taken to our seats.
This was my first time at Garden Grill and I was BEYOND excited! It had been so long since I had been to a character meal We got seated on the outer ring of the restaurant so we got full view of it slowly rotating.

Garden Grill does their breakfast Family-Style so all we had to order was our drinks and then our waitress brought us out our food.

I got a Coke and Rachel got Orange Juice, I thought it was so cute that they served them in Mason jars!

THEN CAME THE FOOD

Before we could really begin stuffing our faces, Mickey came to see us! This was the SASSIEST Mickey I have ever seen! He picked up the plates on the empty table beside us and the just dropped them back onto the table so they made a really loud noise. We were both like
But then he came up to us and posed super cute

He even pointed out that he liked my shirt!

I wasn't going to include this but I feel like this is an accurate representation of what you mind feels like when your Disney trip doesn't go to plan

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Garden Grill! I am definitely planning a meal there I just cant decide which! It is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am so glad you got to experience it!
