There are so many stories of crazy spellings at Starbucks, you'd think they'd get your name right once in a while just as a fluke since they normally spell things in the most complicated way possible! They really ought to just ask people to spell their names instead of saying it. My DFi started our first Disney trip by getting a Starbucks drink with "Natan" on it. His name is Nathan. I called him Natan (rhymes with Satan) for the rest of the trip.

Sad that Marcus abandoned his post.

January 29th, 2017 (Part 3)

Minnie Better Look Out, I Left Lipstick on Mickey
After that, we knew that we needed to meet our second Mickey of the day. On the way over, we stopped at a DVC booth to pin trade and we struck up a conversation with the people there. I traded for this amazing Star Wars pin. The other DVC guy, he was super convincing and we were actually considering doing a tour. He promised refreshments and three free fast passes for doing the hour tour. But since we were still on the four parks in one day mission, we told him we may come back the next day if we could.

After that, we got in the Minnie/Mickey line- we got the ever elusive red card as we hopped in line.

As an added bonus, Goofy was casually meeting in the line!

I was just turning around and snapping pictures. I’m happy that I caught a picture of this Muppet hot air balloon because THEY TOOK IT DOWN. I’M SO SAD. WHYYY.

Goofy is literally my favorite because I feel like I connect with him on so many levels.

We got so lucky because as soon as we had our interaction, Goofy went on break! Sorry for the sketchy Photopass watermark pictures, they were just too cute not to share!

The lines this day were so manageable and we met Minnie in no time! She loves how sparkly our shirts were and I showed her my Minnie Alex and Ani and she got so excited. I love her in this outfit, she is so posh!

We walked a little ways down and saw sorcerer Mickey! They had the cutest little show posters to look at while you waited.

Mickey is so flippin cute! He gave us all kinds of hugs and kisses before posing for a picture!

I gave him a kiss on the nose and accidently got lipstick on him. So then I had to be like “Come here Mickey, I got lipstick on you!” and then I had to run it off, he thought that was hilarious! I swear the PP photographers were getting all the best shots while the character attendants weren't taking any

Then it was time for Star Tours!

I was SO excited since we didn’t get a chance to do that on our first day. I just love this ride so much! Again, we barely waited anytime before we had started out ride! I was kinda bummed that neither of us were the Rebel spy but I soon forgot because we went on a new ride sequence.

After we got off the ride, we made a bathroom stop in the bathrooms connected to Pizzerizzo.

I don’t think I realized they filled in the fountain… stop messing with my Muppets, Disney.

Lol these two are just too much

I took this picture to talk about Pizza Planet getting turned into PizzeRizzo but I just realized it says “the best PIZZA on the PLANET” lol I see that you did there.

I was on the hunt for Bean Bunny pin. We looked in all the shops in the area but there was no Bean Bunny pin to be found, what a bummer! If any of you know anything about such a pin floating around HMU.


To make ourselves feel better, we headed back for our DAS for TSMM. I redeemed myself once again and beat Rachelkins! I still can’t believe I won anything.

We had one more thing left to do before leaving HS, the Tower of Tower *Insert creepy voice and ominus lightning*

It was just your typical TOT ride but we still enjoyed it all the same. After that, we decided it was time to head to park #3

I decided a while ago that if I ever do 4 parks in one day, it'll be to see Mickey at all the parks! I love that you were trying to do this!

Awesome, thank you so much! Yeah, that was one of my favorite restaurants but I have a hunch they'll put it back in Toy Story Land once it opens!

January 29th, 2017 (Part 4)

Very Important Princesses
We waited about 10 minutes for our bus to arrive and everyone who was getting on it got really hype because on the side of the bus it said EPCOT VIP. We felt so fancy! Obviously VIP stands for "Very Important Princesses"

We made it EPCOT in no time- I feel like the backstage of EPCOT was the least exciting of all of the parks, I think because you can partially see some of it while riding the monorail? I don’t know.

Anyway, the entrance/exit for the express busses comes out right beside the bathrooms across from Spaceship Earth.

Our very first mission was to book a DAS for Soarin.

They said it would be about thirty minutes or so, I definitely didn’t mind because it meant we had time for Living With the Land. I don’t know why I love this ride so much but I feel like it’s seriously under appreciated. It’s so relaxing and chill. This is the first time I have ever been on this ride and it hasn’t been walk on.

We probably only had to wait 5 minutes but still, I was surprised. Maybe people are finally appreciating this ride. I feel like I take the exact same pictures every time I’m on this ride... oh well.

After that, we ran over to Soarin’ and hopped in line!

We asked if we could have the front row which meant we had to wait a little longer but it was really only like 15 minutes. Rachel said that with the new version of soarin, if you don’t sit in the front then the screen is distorted and you have feet in your way.

This was my very first time on the new version of Soarin’ Around the World and I loved it! I loved all of the new smells and the new places, I think my favorite place was the African Plains or the Ocean. Both of them looked so pretty!

January 29th, 2017 (Part 5)

T H E B E V E R L Y
It was on to Club Cool

I decided that I wanted to do something that I would probably regret- try the Beverly!

Of course, I had to try all of the other flavors before I got around to the rank one.
My favorites are the sodas from Japan, Zimbabwe, and Thailand.

I swear that they have added some new flavors since I was here last time.

It was finally time for me to try the Beverly, Rachel was super excited for me to try this disgusting drink. There was another guest standing by that wanted to witness me trying this too. After I drank it and obviously found that it tasted nasty, he laughed and walked away. I’m glad tried it, but NEVER AGAIN. I do not have any photographic proof of me trying this but I blogged the whole experience so you can find it there if you would like.

Rachel also wanted to test a theory that you can get a free slushy for your birthday at Club Cool. Her theory proved to be right and she got the strawberry lemonade flavor- it was so good!

I’m sure it will come as no surprise to anybody be we had to find a bathroom.
We stopped near the water and took pictures on the way, the overcast weather made for perfect picture lighting.

First, I asked for Rachel to get a picture of the little sticker collection that I was amassing on my backpack.

Rachel told me to do the pathfinder pose from Moana.

We asked someone walking by if they would take our picture. I always find that it's awkward stopping someone and asking them if they can do it but I'm always happy that I do!

Then it was Rachel's turn!

I was snapping all kinds of pictures and then I heard the monorail coming up from behind and so I said “Stay right there, don’t move!” and just turned around and took pictures of the monorail while Rachel was still standing there with her arm up in the air. You gotta do what you gotta do when the Monorail comes by.

We headed to the bathrooms that are close to Mexico. While we were there, We stopped to see what food they were serving for the Festival of the Arts. They had a really cute artist’s palette cookie and a really cool cake that they were serving but neither of us were really hungry and everything else was pretty expensive so we decided to pass for the time being.

We decided it was as good as any time as any to go meet Mickey. We ran over to the Character Spot and got in line it was about a 20 minute wait. We had an adorable family behind us with really talkative kids. They told us that they had just gotten to Disney that day and this was the very first place that they had come. They were so flippin adorable and the little boys kept pretending that they were Spiderman and were shooting webs at us. We were just playing along. The parents were commenting on how good we were with kids and Rachel was like “We babysit so we’re used to it.”.

I hoped we would run into them again sometime during our trip but sadly, we didn’t. Then it was time to meet Mickey and his friends!

I don’t know why I love this ride so much

I adore this ride so much! It just, I don't know, reminds me of my mother and how much she loves gardening I guess?

This is the first time I have ever been on this ride and it hasn’t been walk on.

So I didn't get to go on it AT ALL last week because the one time we went into The Land the line was 40 minutes!! It was like that even after we rode Soarin' AND sat down for a little bit at Sunshine Seasons to have some water and enjoy the AC.

Mmm...my favorites are Greece (though I always associate Fanta Pina with Mexico because we get it as a Mexican import up here!), Japan, Peru, and Brazil. Though Kuat is NOT my favorite brand of guarana soda! One of my closest friends/former roommate from college is Brazilian and her mother used to send us Guarana Antarctica, and it's the brand the restaurants use around here, and the only one you can buy here at certain grocery stores, so I'm super biased.

They taste exactly the same lol. I'm just ridiculous.

Also good for you for trying Beverly! It upsets my stomach (though to be fair, a lot of sodas do!) so I have a legitimate excuse to stay away from it at least!

I LOVE your little backpack! I, myself, have a small collection of little backpacks that might be considered for "kids." Yeah, right. I also have a Finding Dory lunchbox I take to work every day, so I should probably get a backpack like yours to go with it!

Uhhh I don't think kids deserve the Disney backpacks, they don't appreciate how cute they are! I think it's perfectly fine for us kids at heart to sport them, I'm glad you feel the same! People complemented us on them throughout our trip. The Disney Store always has the best backpacks on clearance- which is why I bought that one. I'm also super jealous of your lunch box, I don't have a Finding Dory one but I have an R2 one

January 29th, 2017 (Part 6)

Our Less-Than-Frumpy Encounter
I remember feeling so bad for the character attendant working in this area because he had to cater to three characters at once while taking pictures for people. But he still had a great attitude and was super happy. Not only that, I think he snapped some pretty fantastic shots!

Mickey was so excited to see us and grabbed us by our hands and pulled us over.

He loved my Minnie ears and he got so excited when we told him that we were meeting him in every park.

Goofy was his crazy self- he basically wanted to get a picture with us straight off the bat and kept moving Rachel’s arm because he was afraid that it was covering up my face in the pictures.

Next up was Minnie- she loved our sparkle on our tops. She got really excited that we were doing four parks in one day too!

Gosh, she’s just too much.

We had been talking to someone in our Disney Facebook group who had an extra Fastpass for Space Mountain that they weren’t going get to use. We were having some trouble having our schedules line up but we finally ended up waiting outside of Mission:SPACE for her. She was very nice and we were so thankful that she was willing to meet up with us for an actual Fastpass.

I don't talk very much about the Disney Planning Facebook groups but I'm always sure to join one as soon as I know the month that I will be there. It's a great way to get more excited about your trip and share the Disney obsession with others. You can also geta lot of first-hand accounts of what's going on in the weeks leading up to your trip. I would 100% recommend joining one, especially if you are a first time visitor. There's so many nice disers that are more than willing to answer your questions!

After acquiring the equivalent to a block of Disney gold, We made our way back over to the World showcase, snapping some pictures as we went of course.

We spotted the paint-by-number mural wall that was up for the Festival of the Arts. We tried to go do it but unfortunately, they were just closing for the day.

We made a mental note to come back and do that the next morning. Then we walked over to Canada and went to the KidCot stop for our Duffy’s!

We walked back up the steps near the waterfall and got some pictures in the red phone booth.

I picked up the phone and didn’t realize that it actually worked. I know that the ones in the UK pavillion don’t anymore. Does anyone know if you can actually call/make calls from that booth? I think it would be fun to do that on my next trip!

Anywho, while we were standing there, we hear a rowdy group of people and look over to find like all of the Instagram-famous Disers in a big group beside us. Of course, Jess (aka the Frump here on the DIS) was standing there! If you read my last report you’ll know that I ran into her in EPCOT and was too embarrassed to go up to her. I didn’t have any Disney love until I started reading her TR’s here and followed her on Instagram. If it wasn’t for her, I definitely wouldn’t be on the path I am today. So, I wanted to go up and at least say hi but again, Rachel and I were too shy. Granted, she was in a group of people which made it even more intimidating. So instead, we went into the Canada girft shop in search for some 150th anniversary buttons.

To acquire one of these buttons, you either had to be Canadian or answer some Canadian trivia. There were people already being quizzed by a CM and we chimed in and Rachel even told them the Capital of Canada. When it got to our turn, the questions seemed to be a little harder. My shining moment was when the CM asked us to name 3 famous people from Canada. I had that one with no difficulty- all of my favorite actors live there!
So, thanks to Rachel's quick thinking and me being the queen of useless information, we were awarded our buttons!
