COmplete newbie has PS question. Help!

This will be our first trip to WDW. We will be there for 7nights/8 days. We purchased the MWY dining package because it looked like a slick way to go. We have a prioity seating for Character Dining experience. (I am sooo excited!)
Now regarding all of the other restaurants that look so wonderful, there are a few that I definetly want to go to. THe 50's Prine Time and the Sci-Fi. SHould we call now at this late date to get PS or will we still be okay. We will be at WDW over Spring Break, so I know it will be busy.

I guess what I want to know is: Will we still be able to get seating at those spots w/o PS or will we have an incredibly long wait. (more that 45 min.)

My suggestion is that you call and get a PS if you can. Both the 50's Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi are popular, and you could easily wait more than 45 minutes at either one without a PS.

Even if the PS you get isn't for a time you really want, at least you'll have something and you can always go to the restaurant earlier to see if you can get a table with a reasonable wait time (and then cancel your PS if you do).

If you don't have PS yet, you need to call immediately and secure them. The 2 weeks around Easter are some of the busiest you will find at WDW and those who wait to get PS may be extremely disappointed.

Like the others have said, definitely try asap for any PSs you may want during that time period. It is a busy time and places do fill up.
During the summer of 1995 we desperately wanted a sit down lunch at MGM and we had no PS. We went from restaurant to restaurant trying to get in anywhere, but all waits were well over 1-2 hours.

Yes . Call for a PS. Even with them there is a bit of a wait usually. Like others have said, these are popular places.

Popular enough that we've seen them not take walk ups at all. No PS, no dinner - even if you are willing to wait two hours.
