Hey all,

So had a hiccup with our last stay and guest services is making up for it by giving us a couple extra fast passes on our next trip. This has happened before because of a hotel pool closure, but they were just added to MDE as anytime fastpasses. This time guest services instructed me to take an ID and a case # to guest services at the park and they would take care of it. I'm just wondering if these are anytime fastpasses or if we have to choose a ride at guest services since this isn't what I expected.

Anyone else have to go to guest services with a case# for something like this? Are they just anytime fastpasses?

Thanks

You'll get any time fast passes, but unfortunately not every "fast pass ride" will qualify for the special passes. Unfortunately, it's usually the hard to get ones excluded.

There are at least two different types of anytime passes that I can think of. The best has no use by date or ride exclusion and will say so in plain English.
Other types have limitations such as what park the passes are good for, an expiration date, and ride limitations.

I've never had to provide a case # or go to guest services to get theses passes. Like you they just show up in MDE. Maybe it's a new procedure?

I’ve never heard of a case # or going to guest services to activate fast passes. I did have an experience a few years ago where we were given extra fast passes for an issue we had at our resort, but instead of giving us anytime fast passes, the CM wanted us to select the actual attractions we wanted to use for our fast passes. We could use them at any time the following day (the issue we experienced happened in the evening), but they were ride-specific. It was strange. I’d never encountered this kind of fast pass. We’ve had other issues for which we were given extra fast passes, but they’ve always been the anytime fast passes that exclude the really popular rides.

Did these ride specific passes have restrictions?
No, they didn’t, other than they had to be used the same day and all at the same park. We were able to choose Frozen Ever After as one, which typically cant be selected as an anytime FP.

With the case number you go to guest services and they will 1. allow you to add anytime restricted if you will fast passes or 2. pick the rides you would like to use them for and times. This would be for the amount of days you were given... so if you have 2 days you can say I want anytime fast passes added for Monday and Friday. The restrictions are FOP, Slinky dog, 7 Dwarfs and Frozen as of the one time I got them in 2018... Likely the star wars rides as well.

to add to OP above you: You can get fast passes from waiting in line for a ride that breaks down these in general will not have restrictions -- this happened to us this year on Frozen and they scanned our bands and we could use it on any ride in the park including Frozen
