Comparing Car Services...

Hi all!

I wanted to get quotes from two transporation companies, so I selected Fl Tours and TTown Cars. My trip involves:

2 people MCO to Dolphin then on another date
4 people MCO to Dolphin then
6 people Dolphin to Portofino Bay then
6 people Portofino Bay to MCO.

I was quoted $230 from TTown Cars and $290 from FL Tours. I did email FL Tours to ask about the price difference (if it's just their price ... that's fine). Am I missing something? Just questioning since there is a difference.

On another note....can anyone think of another way to do this that might be more cost effective.

I played around with numbers....I used the Mears shuttle to get everyone from MCO to the Dolphin....$80 ($20 pp one way). Then, you could get a cab or car service for about $60 for 6 of you over to Portofino, and another $60ish to get back to MCO.
You could rent a car to get you from the Dolphin to Portofino, and then back to MCO, but it will cost you daily to park at Portofino.
I would actually use Mears to get to the Dolphin (depending on how much TT charges), and then use them to get you to Portofino and back to MCO. That might come out a bit cheaper.
What kind of car were you planning on booking with TT??? Their towncars hold only four....I priced out your trip, using just a towncar and it came to about $225. A larger vehicle will cost you more. A combination of towncar (for runs between MCO and Dolphin) and van for all 6 of you over to Portofino and back to MCO is about $240.
And checked with FL Tours, online, and came up with about $265.

I will check into Mears. I emailed both companies and that was the quote I received in the email. Tiffany gave me two options: " You will need 2 one way each $60.00 plus driver gratuity, & the hote transfer & the one way back to mco in a van for 6 people is $120.00 plus driver gratuity or the party of 4 can do the van rt & that is $125.00 plus hotel transfer $50.00 total $175.00 minus $5.00 online coupon $170.00 plus $60.00=$230.00 or $240.00 for all one ways."

Then FL Tours quoted me $290 because they said I needed a larger vehicle for the four people along with the six when we went together.

Tiffany emailed me back right away and FL Tours took over a day. I am going to check out Mears now! I'll let everyone know.
