He and Luanne had dinner last night at the Grand Floridian's...

"While this was good, the richness from the rest of the meal overpowered it."





"We both ordered the surf and turf with rib eyes."



"The steak and lobster were cooked perfectly. The potato gratin was incredible, even the beans were great."








"For dessert, Luanne had the baked chocolate mousse."






"I had the blueberry/lemon curd trifle."





"Both desserts were delicious."




"This was our first time at Narcoossee's and we both agreed that we have a new favorite." ​

Ok, let's get started on today's updates, beginning with our First Update of the Day sent to us this morning by seasidespences.


She and her family had lunch yesterday at DHS'...

"Uncle Tim took care of us...not quite sure what I was expecting but he didn't "play" as much as I thought he would. Either way, the food was great and we were stuffed when we left!"



"I started with a root beer float while everyone else had standard drinks."







"For apps - DS had carrots & celery (no pic) and DD had chicken noodle soup."






"DH had the onion rings...






...and I had the fried cheese."






"For entrees both kids had chicken nuggets and potatoes (the ones in the pic had already been decorated with ketchup by DD)."







"DH had the chicken pot pie...






...and I had the sampler."





"Everything was so good...we couldn't seem to stop eating!"




"Lastly, for dessert, both kids had the create your own sundae."






"DH had the no sugar added cheesecake...







... and I had the s'mores!"





"Mmmm, all very good...but I have to tell you, I was miserable afterwards because it was just so much food!!"

"For entrees DD had the grilled beef skewers (she's a steak lover for sure)...

"He and DD had so much fun eating the "paint" for his puzzle!!"



"While our kids ate the paint , DH and I enjoyed the no sugar added cheesecake and the summer sundae...both of these were so good!"

She said, "The food and character interaction was excellent! However, I can't quite say the same about the service...it took quite a while for drink refills and we never actually received one of our drinks. Anyhow...we still enjoyed our meal here. I especially enjoyed the cheddar grits and asparagus!"

"We also had a Jerk Chicken, but the pic was awful."


"Overall it was okay. Ours was all free with birthday coupons."

Just wanted to say that I newly discovered this board and am so glad I did! Thank you for all the hard work you do in keeping this going. Everyday that I read this thread makes me more and more excited for my up coming trip next month. So much so that I am now planning a trip for just me and my husband next year where we can try many of these signature restaurants out.

"We started out with drinks of course. I had the Citropolitan. It was ok."



Citropolitan - Absolut Mandrin Vodka with Limoncello and a splash of Cranberry Juice



"My mom and Holly had the Bellini with blood orange juice. This was tasty and made with fresh fruit juice."






"The Long Island Iced Tea for the men was again just ok. The sour mix was too strong."





"The bread service was warm and fresh."






"For apps, I had the arancini."



"This was tasty but again nothing special."



"Big T had the pork belly."



"This was fantastic and the right combination of flavors."



"Holly and my dad had the seafood sampler."




"This was amazing. Fresh and very flavorful."



"For entrees, we all chose the veal shank."




"This was extremely disappointing. Not cooked well and very tough. The flavors were blah."


"The service was horrible and the meal was also very disappointing. We decided to skip dessert out of frustration and head over to Beaches & Cream for this little beauty..."

Now for our First Update of the day sent to us this morning by seasidespences.


She and her family had dinner last night at the Coronado Springs Resort's...





"Dinner last night was a last minute change to the Maya Grill at our resort. Wow...what a pleasant surprise! While I might not go out of my way to go there if I wasn't staying at CSR, this visit reassured me that there is a quality table service restaurant at our resort."

















"We started with chips and salsa...







"For apps, there was fresh fruit for the kids...





House made guacamole for DH...






... and spring rolls for me."





"I honestly could have stopped here because I was getting so full but of course I didn't!"




"For entrees the kids both enjoyed the good ole standby...chicken nuggets."






"DH had the filet...






... and I had the steak fajitas."






"DH loves his steaks and to say he was pleased with this filet would be a huge understatement. In fact...I asked him to compare this steak to the filet at HBD and the steak at Flying Fish and he said that this one stood side by side with the one at HBD...excellent!"



"I didn't get very far into my entree before I was stuffed but the steak was very flavorful and tender. Needless to say we opted to skip dessert since we were so full! I'd easily recommend this place for a solid meal!"



"I also wanted to add...I finally ate that apple tart from the Boardwalk Bakery...mmm, so good...I hope I get a chance to grab a couple more before we go home!!"
