I'm honestly not worried about Cali Grill at all. It was the first night, no matter where you go there are kinks to get worked out. All of the servers had spent the past several months at other restaurants and were getting back into the swing of things with I'm sure a packed restaurant.

We have received Paul's (GrandCalifornian) final Disney World dining update and it's from their dinner last night at Paul's favorite, Fort Wilderness'...

This is possibly my favorite thread ever and I'll be sad to see it go - Barb, you have done an AMAZING job keeping up with this! Thank you!! And thanks to everyone who has contributed. This thread gives me all sorts of exciting ideas for where we need to eat the next time we're there. I'll have to see if I can figure out how to post right from my phone and dis app - maybe we can keep this up ourselves, and I'll be at WDW 12/1-12/7. Maybe I'll even get to see the famous jabead in person!

That would be great, I would love to meet you! As of now, I think I'll be hanging out at Epcot World Showcase on both the afternoons of the 5th and 6th. "It's been a long, hot day but dinner at the Hollywood Brown Derby was excellent!"






"For her appetizer, DD had chicken soup..."

I'm so sorry but I'm planning on taking the month of December off (from receiving live updates), as there is a large group of us from the Dining Review board who are meeting up at Disney World in early December. (I myself will be there from 12/5 - 12/12) It is my hope that we will collaborate in doing a report of our many dining adventures together here on the live thread immediately following our trip. At this time, I believe that this will serve as my grand finale for the live thread, but I haven't completely ruled out the possibility of starting it up again sometime in 2014. Perhaps on a more limited basis?? And just until my Photobucket account is full, that is.

But of course, you (and anyone else going in December) are welcome to post live updates to the thread directly while you are there or shortly after your trip.

Oh no! I'll be there 12/3-12/10 and was planning on doing this again. I guess in a way, it's a good thing because I'm not sure how much time we'll have... DxDP again this time around. "It was so salty and had too much lemon. We couldn't even eat it. Our waitress was so kind and when we told her about it they took it off the bill. And what was bad about it is that we have had it before and loved it. But the way it was served this time was different than we have had before."

He said, "On the flight home we were sad to have left WDW and we decided to have one more Disney meal by stopping by Disneyland on the way home from the airport."




"We grabbed our favorite nachos from..."










"Allie got a peanut butter and jelly sandwich box."






"And we ordered the steak nachos with no jalapeño."





"Unfortunately just as the food arrived we got a call from our neighbor saying our dogs were loose. We had them pack the nachos to go and left to head home."


"We promise to post pictures of them in their "eat in" state next time we get them."


"Fortunately Melissa's brother went by and collected the dogs, so they were all home when we got there. They also were looking for leftovers."







"So, with that we conclude our trip. We had a great time, and the meals were one of the best parts of the trip. There isn't a single one that didn't have something special about it."

Another daily lurker here. Thanks so much to Barb and everyone that has contributed to this thread. DH and I are taking our first trip to the world in Dec. and this thread really helped me narrow down what I think are must do places vs. meh..we'll test our luck without an ADR.

I am trying to convince DH to join me in saying Hi since we'll be there at the same time. He thinks I'm off my rocker...but I have found this to be a great board ....and we all love the same thing....Disney!!
