I'm going to be out and about this evening but I'm going to try and post one or two updates before I leave.

Let's begin with Maiky's update from his lunch yesterday at Epcot's...

















"We started with the bread service and Iván ordered a Torontopolitan while I enjoyed the beer flight."















"And for round two Iván ordered an Ice Wine Martini and I ordered a second beer flight."







"For our appetizers I chose the Waterkist" Heirloom Tomato (House-made Mozzarella, tomato gelee, lavash, micro basil, Minus "8" Vinegar)."






"And Iván chose the Assortment of Artisanal Cheese - with Chef's Selection of Dried Fruits and Preserves)."







"For our entrées we both ordered Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon (8 oz. Canadian Beef Tenderloin with wild mushroom risotto, pickled pearl onions, white truffle butter sauce)."







"For dessert we ordered the same again, the Neopolitan Cappuccino Cake (Cappuccino Mousse, Caramel-Pretzel, and Chocolate Cake)."






"Everything was delicious and our server was great. This is one of our favorites restaurants."

Maiky said, "For dinner we went to Narcoosee's, another new restaurant for us."



"We started with the bread service and some drinks."








"Iván ordered the Red Sangria (no pic) and I ordered a Agave Nectar Margarita."








"For our appetizers I ordered the Jones Farm Organic Heirloom Tomato Salad (Petit Agour Sheep's Milk Cheese, Roasted Hazelnuts, Shaved Red Onion, Dehydr8-Wild Oak Honey Vinaigrette, and Tiny Herbs)."






"And Iván chose the Artisanal Cheeses (Five tasting portions from around the world with accompaniments)."











"For our entrées Iván chose the Grilled Filet Mignon (Roasted Potatoes, Grilled Spring Onions, Velvet Pioppini Mushrooms, and French Green Beans with Herbed Cabernet-Oxtail Sauce and Smoked White Truffle Oil)."







"And I ordered the Grilled Black Angus 12-oz New York Strip (Applewood-smoked Bacon Potato Gratin, Organic Summer Vegetables, and Salsa Verde)."







"For dessert we both chose the Almond-crusted Cheesecake (finished with Lambert Cherry Sauce)."





"Everything was good and the service was great. And after a great meal we watched Wishes from the veranda."

"Just as it started to rain Thursday afternoon we found Writers Stop and picked up some cookies."

"We did something a little different for dinner but we enjoyed it. We snacked around the world, starting with Fish and Chips that we shared from the UK's...

"Then Melissa wanted some Sushi." (I think this is probably from Japan's Kabuki Cafe.)








"Then we had Pretzels in Germany."











"It made for a nice dinner on a beautiful night."​

On Thursday night, he and his family went to the Polynesian's...






He said, "Took forever to get to the Poly from Downtown Disney so we ended up being a half hour late."











"Starters were on the table for us."



Soba noodle salad, Mixed Greens with Honey Lime Vinaigrette, Mango Slaw, and Fresh Pineapple



"Main course was brought out shortly."



Aloha Pulled Pork, BBQ Pork Ribs, Roasted chicken, Jasmine rice with Nori, and Vegetable medley








"DS had a cheese pizza, he ate it all."





"Dessert was good, but different from last year."



Warm Pineapple Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce ???



"We ended up getting our photo taken after our dinner and they printed it right out for us."

"We decided to try the other water park, so we had lunch at Typhoon Lagoon today."

"And Allie had pizza."





"For dessert we had cheesecake and a cookie, and took chocolate cake to go."




"We enjoyed the meal in the shade."

"Glacier water. Tastes like a blue coconut water from Sonic."





"The Ahi Tuna appetizer. Not bad, but not amazing either."





"Build your own Lettuce Wrap. Very fun and great combination of flavors and textures!"


"Unfortunately, they do not serve the pho soup anymore. We were so sad!"

"The pineapple fried wontons! Delicious!! We haven't had a dessert as delicious as this for a long time!" ​

For the last meal of their trip, Maiky and Iván went to Downtown Disney's...

"Then I ordered a second beer flight (The Four Provinces - no picture)."




"For our appetizers I ordered the Hail Caesar (Classic caesar salad with prosciutto crisps, grape tomatoes, croutons & shaved parmesan)."







"And Iván chose the Soul Soup (tomato soup)."




"We both agreed that the soup one of the best things we tasted during this trip."




"For our entrées I chose the special of the day which was a pulled pork sandwich with a side of fries."







"And Iván chose the Raglan Risotto with chicken (Risotto with shiitake mushrooms, garden peas, shaved parmesan & rocket lettuce)."




"Everything was delicious and the portions were generous."













"For dessert Iván ordered Ger's Bread & Butter Pudding."






"And I ordered the Trifle Sinful (Raspberry jam Swiss roll layers with mixed berries & custard, topped with fresh cream and almonds)."







"I'm writing this last update while waiting for my Magical Express ride to the airport and I would like to thank all the previous reporters for making it easier planning my vacation, I hope that my reports will be useful to others. A special thanks to Barb for all her work and dedication. It was fun but sadly I have to say goodbye.... for now." ​

Note from jabead: Since Maiky & Iván dined at so very many TS restaurants (including at least 9 signatures, that I can think of), I've asked them to summarize their dining by letting us know which were their favorites/least favorites. "Tonight we had a dinner we had been looking forward to for over a year and it did not disappoint."

"From left to right: Lemon Meringue cupcake, Chocolate Cream Puff, Strawberry Cream Cheese Cupcake, Seasonal cream puff (it was chocolate and maybe raspberry?), the Grey Stuff (waitress described as hard chocolate shell with cookie dough and grey stuff on top), Poison Apple Cupcake (seasonal), Passion Fruit Cupcake, and Triple Chocolate Cupcake."




"At our table we had bread:"








"For the entree Melissa chose Braised Pork on puréed Cauliflower with Brussel Sprouts and pearl onions."








"Paul chose the strip steak with garlic herb butter and pommes frites."







"And Allie had multigrain pasta with marinara sauce."






"All of the entrees were excellent."

"The strawberry cream cheese cupcake."

"Also in celebration of Allie's upcoming 4th birthday she got the grey stuff."




"The cupcakes were top notch and it would be hard to pick a favorite. The grey stuff tasted like a light chocolate mousse, but wasn't as great as the cupcakes."



"Overall it was a great meal and a pretty good value by Disney standards."

Hi Barb and fellow Disney food lovers!

We are headed down to WDW bright and early Tuesday morning. We are so very excited and can't wait to share with you all again! This time it will be myself, DH (Tony), DS (TJ), DMom (Nana), DDad (Pop pop), DB (Mark) and his GF (Holly). We are traveling with quite a group and they all know that they are not allowed to take a bite of their food until I've snapped a pic with my phone (although TJ is a little uncontrollable some times ), so hopefully we will have lots of shots for everyone (and hopefully some tequilla shots for myself and Tony ). "As we waited in line they had a cart with ice water to cool you down as well as umbrellas they passed out to get some shade. We only waited about 10 minutes but it really helped."










"We both had the pork with mashed potatoes."








"This was so good and a great start to our vacation."

"Again a great meal, and we will be back! With the limited good QS options at DHS, we were happy we tried this."



"We were at DHS for the Villain party and here is a shot of the fireworks."




"This party had great fireworks... amazing! We loved it! It was worth the 2 hours it took us to get a bus and then be left at the Boardwalk to walk because the traffic around DHS was at a standstill." ​

"We have been wanting to try this place for the last 3 years."








"Bread with a dipping oil with Guinness and brown sugar. It tasted like honey."

"DW got Fish and Chips. She said it was really good."

"It was accompanied by fruit and a yogurt sauce."






"And there were fresh Mickey waffles."






"There was also bread and a cinnamon roll, but we didn't get a picture."

"It was a fun meal and the sausage was good and different than we had all week. My favorite though was the potatoes, which were so good they didn't need ketchup."

"The only issue was the timing, we had all the characters very early, then had to wait for the bill and photo for a long time after we were done."​
