Our company picnic is tomorrow. Looks like we should plan on playing Trivial Pursuit instead of volleyball. Good thing there is a shelter.

Then the rain let up but the sky still looked like this...

By the time we left the park, the sky looked like this...

Of course that didn't last, though. We had to dash through the rain at Southwest Plaza around 4pm.

We only had 5 families out of 23 who didn't show up for the picnic. We made the best of it and had a fun time.

DH dashed out and mowed the front yard during the break in the downpour this weekend. And yet, today is bright sunshine.

I definitely prefer 70's to 90's, though!

Honestly, I just returned from Hawaii on Sunday morning and had a great time! I missed all the bad weather you all had. I'm readjusting to this time zone, but not there yet. I was hungry at midnight last night and ten in the morning and three in the afternoon, and the floor hasn't stopped rocking just yet. I never was interested in re-doing the PC cruise. NCL definitely isn't Disney, but it was ok. Hawaii was wonderful!

I help run a local haunted house and I am starting to look for people would like things that go bump in the night and want to make a few dollars having fun.


They must be 16 and older and willing to work almost everynight night in october.

How is everyone enjoying the DNC? Had a military helicopter fly low over my building first thing this morning. I didn't venture out at lunch but I heard there was a protest and a lot of SWAT.

we have some of the swept up homeless staying at the Youth house this week. That's all about I've noticed...other than all of the helicopters. I hate convention time anyway but now I am really sick of it!!

I had no idea that there was a Colorado thread on here. Where have I been?

Nope don't live in Colorado yet, but am looking to move from Texas there soon. Looking into Colorado Springs or the Boulder area. Any good advice or places to avoid? We will rent for a while as I want to know the area beore we actually buy a place! Nice to know if an when we move I'll have some Dis'ers around!
