Colorado DISers ... where are you ?

Glad your honeymoon was wonderful! We want details! Oh, wait, that doesn't sound quite right. Ummmmm - how were the parks?? :rotfl:
:rotfl2: :lmao: I plan on writing a Trip Report and posting pictures, so I will make sure to copy it on this thread. It was great. We were at Disneyland for 3 days and then on the Disney Cruise for 15 days. Loved every moment and got a little spoiled....it is rough getting back to real life now!

Anyone know how common chestnut trees are here in CO? There is a group of four of them near our house on the greenbelt, but I don't recall seeing them anywhere else around the neighborhood.

Sorry Jrsy. I don''t even know what they look like. Talked to Ted who is a native and he doesn't think that they are very common. Tammy might know since she is a native, too.

Jersey-I think that most nut trees have a tough time growing here in CO.

Does anybody know of a good website to use for research on Colorado Vacation Homes?? Being a native I have no clue even where to look.

Did anyone watch the Bronco game yesterday, it was a great game. Wish I could have been at the stadium to watch that!

We took advantage and went to Elitch's instead. Ghost Blasters is finally open. It isn't as good as Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, but it was the longest line we waited in all day. If you get over 1200 points, your rank is Master Blaster and Alex got 1120 on our second time through.

We did a bunch of cleaning!! Good to know Ghost Blasters is open finally. What a great game (Broncos:lmao: )!!

That's what we were going to do... but wasn't sure if the parking is still only $10 and/or if people from the game park there and walk??? So could you fill me in on how the parking is when there is a game??

The kids really want to go so we will have to be going soon before it closes! Now we have Ghost Blaster to look forward to!

I couldn't tell you what the cost is since we have an annual parking pass, but the lot wasn't nearly full. There were more cars than we expected, but there was also some kind of walk for Juvenile Diabetes which may have accounted for some of the cars. There seemed to be quite a few people tailgating over in the Pepsi Center parking lot, though. There wasn't anyone tailgating in the Elitch's lot, so I assume that anyone parking there wasn't doing so to attend the game.

Here are a few photos. I was testing out the "action" setting...

We should have gone... I think we are going next weekend. We didn't get the season parking pass, probably should have, o-well there's always next time!

I have never taken the camera to Elitches, that's another thought!

Thanks

I realized that, despite having season passes for the past three years, I never brought a camera either, even though I always bring it to WDW. I did miss a shot of the B-2 Bomber flying overhead, which I assume was for the Broncos game.

I went to Buena Vista for a long weekend. My Hawaiian quilt group stays at Liars' Lodge bed & breakfast every year and we rent out the entire lodge. It is such a pretty area, and the lodge is right on the river with an amazing view of Mt. Princeton out the picture windows. We had rain on Friday, but since we weren't going out, it was very pleasant to hear the rain on the roof and the rushing of the river outside of the window as we worked on our quilts and visited. When the clouds cleared and the sun came out, the fourteeners were capped in snow!

If anyone is interested in going to a Hawaiian festival, check out www.coloradoalohafest.com. It will be held for one day, October 12 at the Vance Brand Auditorium in Longmont, and about half of the vendors are coming over from the islands. Our quilt group is planning on exhibiting some of our quilts. There will be a hula show, lei making, food, etc. If you're looking for something fun to do, check it out!
