I am glad you responded so I didn't have to dig up this thread.
My confusion was regarding the reported pay rate and room discount rate in the review the girl did on the podcast email show this week.
She stated pay ranged from 7.21/hr-11.xx/hr and also stated the room discounts for CMs are 40% for friends and family and 65% for a CM.
I was concerned because both the e-presentation and my acceptance letter for spring advantage stated starting pay is 6.89. I was worried the wrong information was being spread by the recruiter at the Indianapolis event.
After clarifying with my recruiter(I am a campus rep) I was told the starting pay did increase to 7.21 due to the minimum wage hike in FL and that it happened mid season, which is why both my letter and the E-presentation had the wrong information.
As for room rates, I guess the official Disney stance is rates are 40% and up to 65% depending on availability. It should be noted that I have never received more than 50% off even when I booked a year in advance, peak or non peak, I still never got more than that.
So everything was clarified.
