I so seldom drink soda that I really don't have a preference between colas. Drinking them months apart, I can't tell the difference between Coke and Pepsi. In fact, on Saturday I had a Coke Zero, my first soda since early May. If I am in the mood for soda, I just take whatever cola the restaurant offers.

Diet Coke for me!! I've always thought that Pepsi tasted like it has a shot
of Windex in it.

In my youth, I wasn't as picky and I think I know why. It's the sweetener they use today.

Today, I always drink Coke and my fallback is sweet (iced) tea or water if the server says "No Coke. Pepsi." (Saturday Night Live reference)

When I was young, I didn't care - either was fine, but no Tab because I'm allergic to saccharine. (No Sweet & Low, have to read ingredients, even in toothpastes.)

As adults, whenever we went to the Bahamas, I would bring back some bottles of Coke because they're made with cane sugar. They just taste better than regular store-bought Coke here.

A few months ago, DH brought home "Pepsi Throwback" from the supermarket: Pepsi made with real sugar cane instead of corn syrup. It was good! I agree with NMW - Cherry Pepsi is also good, much better than regular Pepsi. I still prefer Coke to either, however.

I think that Coke and Pepsi's formulas with corn syrup sweetener is why some people prefer one over the other. It's like Cilantro: some people love it, I despise it - it tastes like soap to me. Perhaps when the sweetener combines with the other ingredients in the syrup, the formula doesn't work for everyone.

I can tell you that when Pepsi did their "Throwback" soda this past spring (it was Pepsi with REAL sugar, not High Fructose Corn Syrup) my kids LOVED it! They have never said a word about soda brands, coke vs pepsi, etc. before this. All of them kept saying how much better the soda tasted and asked if we could get this soda all the time. They were really dissapointed when I could no longer get it.

In Ireland, my brother and sister in law who drink regular Coke, kept commenting that the soda was so much better there than in the US when we went a few years ago. I thought they were crazy, but I only drink diet coke, so I didn't taste a difference. After we were back I read that both COke and Pepsi make soda with no High Fructose Corn Syrup for Europe and other countries that don't allow the HFCS in their countries. I had wondered if that's why my family loved the Coke so much in Ireland.

When my kids raved about the Pesi Throwback, I became convinced that HFCS tastes like chemicals compared to real sugar. It's a shame you can't buy it all the time.

Yes, soda in Europe and Mexico with REAL SUGAR not HFCS is soooooo much better! I loved the Pepsi Throwback.

Coke only. Just went out Sat nite and the menu said coke, when I ordered the waitress said is Pepsi ok. NO!! My next request is then brewed iced tea (don't want the stuff out of the fountain) If I must have Pepsi, then it is diet with lots of ice. I am real high maintenance when it comes to my soda.

Pepsi, Pepsi and only Pepsi!!!

Growing up, my uncle was a big-wig with Coke for 35 years. I hated going to their house because they only had Coke products :scared1:

If there is no Pepsi, I'll drink water.

The only thing I don't like about Disney is that they don't have Pepsi. I have to order from Garden Grocer so that I can have it :goodvibes

I don't usually drink soda, water unsweetened fresh tea or lemon lime koolaid works for me. That being said I love Coke in the glass bottles Strawberry Crush also but only in glass, I buy about a 6 pack of each a year. Pepsi is flat and too sweet for me.

Just wanted to add that the Coca-Cola that is Kosher for Passover (in the spring) is made with real sugar too, not HFCS.

Deeeelicious! I don't observe the Passover diet but I definitely stock up on the coke! You can find it with the other Passover food in the grocery store.

DH is a rabid Coke fan. He mostly drinks Cherry Coke Zero but if we're out he'll go for regular Coke if they don't have CCZ. Me, I quit drinking soda years ago, but even then I didn't really like either Coke or Pepsi - I drank RC when I could find it. These days, I drink way too much homemade iced tea flavored with lemon or mint.

At home, whatever is cheaper. They both taste fine but I hate the way it tastes from a can. I slightly prefer pepsi.

When I'm out I prefer pepsi from a fountain, coke from the fountain tastes funny to me. It's hard to come by though. Out of a bottle, either is fine but coke tastes best from glass.

I love, love, love pepsi throwback. Or any soda made with real sugar for that matter. Whole Foods used to make a corn syrup free soda in the 365 brand but I don't know if they still do. I haven't been in ages. For all you pepsi lovers, I heard throwback is coming out again in August but I don't know how true the info is.

I can't vote in your poll because I'm brand loyal to both. At home if I'm having cola its got to be Pepsi. If I'm having a rum and coke, its got to be Diet Coke.

So I started this pole, because someone said that people see no difference in pepsi and coke and that brand loyalty doesn't exist. Apparently Disney has made a better choice in serving coke products. I'm still surprised at how lop sided this is.

I chose the "whichever is cheaper" option because that's the most true statement for me, but if both were the same price, I'd choose Pepsi. That said, I get ECSTATIC when I see caffeine-free/diet options (like Caffeine Free Diet Coke, Fresca, Sprite Zero), because after 3ish, I can't do caffeine so I just order water (which is fine), but if a restaurant offers an option I can do, I order it!

Diet coke is my drink of choice. First and foremost.
Pepsi is my second choice.
I will not drink Coke.

You do know diet coke is bad for your health right:rotfl:.....all pop is bad for your health...but I still love PEPSI:rotfl2:

I'll drink Coke Zero and Pepsi One. I like regular Coke more than regular Pepsi. I don't like cherry flavored soda or Dr. Pepper. I like ginger ale as a change from cola.

I LOVE Coke Zero, it tastes almost identical to regular Coke. Unfortunately most places just carry Diet Coke and not Zero(eateries, not the grocery store), so I make do with Diet Coke. I do drink Diet Pepsi at work because we exclusively only have Pepsi products, but I much prefer Coke.

My heart will always stay true to coke. I also love My Dr. Pepper. The next one I found I like is Zevia. Jo

Diet coke or death. lol. I will not and can not drink Diet Pepsi. It has the strangest aftertaste I have ever had. All Pepsi does.
