Coffee drinkers, help me out.

I am not in any way shape or form a coffee drinker so it's never dawned on me to stake out the best spots to get a cup of coffee. But my friend will need coffee, particularly in the mornings at each park. It seems like the food court isn't the best option because she'd have to take it on the bus and that seems to be a no no. So for the four parks, where's your favorite coffee spot?

MK and Epcot each have an individual shop that offer Starbucks.

Most of the rest of WDW now offers Joffrey's Coffee and I find it very good.

Good to know!

I have what is probably a dumb question. As a coffee drinker (anyone chime in on this) how do you manage getting your morning fix with the need to be getting in lines. We're planning to rope drop. I'm just envisioning getting stuck in a Starbucks line or having to wait a bit to start doing anything because we've just purchased a coffee. Ideally, she'd be able to have it while we were waiting for rope drop but that doesn't seem likely.

I agree with Robo. Joffrey's coffee is very good. Their carts are located outside the entrances of Epcot and AK.

In DHS, many people like the coffee at Starring Rolls and Writer's Stop. There is a Joffrey's cart near the TSMM area.

Some of the parks have outside-the-gates kiosks.

But, all of the on-site resorts have coffee at the dining areas
and they are open very, very early.

Ah. That's good news. She can get her coffee fix and we won't have to worry about wasting.

Can't say anything for the Joffrey's Coffee, only that I've been told it's a step up from the 'NesCrappe' stuff they served before. Since the addition of the Starbucks in MK and Epcot, I will only get my coffee there. I might be a little biased, though, what with my love for those chocolate chai tea lattes...

I got my fix every morning at the resort while I had my breakfast. I usually finished my second cup on the bus to the parks. No one ever said anything.....I had no clue it was a no no. I had a lid so it's not like huge spills would happen. I drink plain black coffee and can not stand Starbucks (no flames please).and had no problem with the stuff in the resorts. I seem to remember there being an espresso cart in HS by Tower of Terror but can't remember the name.

While I have to have my coffee fix every day, I'm not very picky when it comes to coffee - so I had a hard time ponying up $5 at the Latte carts.

But what I did find (at least in HS) was that some of the shops on the street would sell iced coffee for $1.95. And with enough sugar and creamer, it was good enough for me! :)

I am most definitely a coffee drinker and being from the Seattle area I am very used to getting good coffee very easily. I'm glad to say that WDW finally allows me that luxury in the parks now too. What I do when I am there is start with a very quick cup of coffee at the resort either made in room or from the quick service to tide me over until I can get to one of the espresso carts or Starbucks. (So we can hit some rides before I get the good stuff.) I have a preference for Starbucks but the carts serve pretty good coffee now that they made the switch. BTW, Animal Kingdom has an excellent coffee stand between Africa and Expedition Everest (I think, but the map should tell you exactly).

Not being a coffee person yourself, you may be putting to much thought into your friend's "morning fix". I enjoy my morning coffee, especially my first cup, and always have it in the room while getting (I'm always up early), then I grab a cup at breakfast and I'm ready to go. I'm typically a two cup person, but DH is a pot per day kinda guy and manages well with room coffee and a few cups at breakfast prior to going to the park. It's Disney, your friend will make it work! :)

Well Magic Kingdom and EPCOT now have Starbucks franchises (although you can still buy coffee products at Boulangerie Patisserie but staff are grumpy); Hollywood Studios offers lovely coffee drinks at Starring Rolls; the water parks all have stalls that offer nice coffee.

The in room coffee doesn't cut it. I bring Starbucks Via instant coffee and just use the in room machine for hot water. Buy it at Walmart not Starbucks. 6 bucks vs 10.

Most hotels have coffee makers in each room.

When not available, these same hotels likely have coffee available in the lobby or in a dining room before getting on a bus to get to a Park.

That having been said, for what ever reason, my father enjoys purchasing his coffee and muffin only after entering a Park. It takes a few moments extra, but his 'need' never seems to interfere with seeing attractions.

It's a vacation, enjoy it!

I am a gimmecoffeewhenIimmediatelywakeuporIwillruinallofyourdaysandmakeyouallmiserable kind of person. I bring my own coffee maker, filters, and ground coffee. I pack it in my checked bag. I started doing this back in the Nescrappe days, and it's nice to see that they have improved in this area. It only took 20 years of guest complaints to change that, I see. LOL.

With the addition of Starbucks and Joffery's in the resorts I thought about skipping the coffee maker this time, but I'm still bringing it. I like to drink my coffee quietly on the balcony and watch the sun rise while the other two sleep. I don't want to get dressed to go down to the food court, and stand in line to get it. I'll use the Starbucks in the MK for a much-needed PM pick me up.

Since we are driving, we are bringing mini Keurig. Lol. Can't leave home without it.

We are staying at AKL. I'm hoping there are coffee makers in the room, but do they take grounds, pouches or K-cups? I'd like to bring my own to brew.
Thanks.

In room coffee makers are tiny and they take those pod-pouch thingies.
