code discounts for cabin?

We originally had ressies for the Contemporary for the 5 of us for the first week of Jan 2005. Now my niece is coming with so that will make 6 of us. I've been searching EVERYWHERE trying to decide where to stay. We were just about to (reluctantly) reserve a home in the Kissimmee area when I ran across something about FW cabins. Dh and I think this would be EXCELLENT for us. We have 2 teens with us and we really wanted them to have access to the WDW transportation system to get back and forth to the parks on their own.

OK, so now my question. We were hoping to get a good discount rate at the Contemp. What do you think would be the rate for a cabin for the first week of Jan? Right now, the rack rate seems to be $234. Do you think we could get it for under $200???

And do you think I should call and change my ressies to a cabin now and then call back again when the codes come out? Or should I just wait for the codes to come (which I hope is any day now) to call and switch our resorts?

So confusing!!!! lol.

I JUST got the AP rate discount of 160 a night including tax!!!!

Room only codes are suposed to be released tomorrow. The CM i spoke w/today said that the dsic should be about the same as the APH disc. Check mousesavers.com 1st thing in the morning.Good luck.

I just wanted to add--one side note. Last year we went from a group of 3 going to a group of 12. We decided on renting 2 pool homes right near Disney. I was alittle apprehensive. Let me tell you-- if I could afford this every trip. I would do it in a heartbeat. These homes were gorgeous. They had all the upgrades we could want, lots of space and our pools!!! It is a really nice option when it's needed.

I just got the new code rate (that came out today) at $155 a night for the cabin (comes out to about $172 a night with tax).
