Why doesn't coke transform into using real cane sugar? That would be a big hit.
Pepsi already sells "Real Sugar Pepsi" in US stores. It costs the same as regular Pepsi and comes in 12 packs.Well if Coke did that, who's to say Pepsi wouldn't do the same thing?

Coke only sells cane sugar cola as "Mexican Coke", which comes in glass bottles and costs way more than regular Coke.
They both do real sugar versions for Passover, too, apparently. A yellow cap on a bottle of Coke means it's Kosher and has sugar, not HFCS.Pepsi already sells "Real Sugar Pepsi" in US stores. It costs the same as regular Pepsi and comes in 12 packs.

EDIT: For a while, Pepsi was selling Mt. Dew made with cane sugar, too. It disappeared around the time that the pandemic started and I haven't seen it since. I don't know if it's still available elsewhere, though.
And yet they still haven't returned to regular caffeine-free Coke that they "paused" at the beginning of the pandemic.Coke has to put out a new flavor every year so people will be disgusted and continue to stick to regular Coke. I discovered a new Coke yesterday, Coke Move. The bottle said it tastes like "Transformation". I tried it, it tastes like coconut Coke. Far as I know, no transformation took place, but I will keep you posted.
I also spotted a yellow Peeps Pepsi but had to pass because it probably tastes like Buyer's Remorse.
I tried the zero sugar one and found it to be a little too sweet for me. I don't drink a lot of soda anymore so maybe that's just me not used to the taste of soda. I saw zero marketing for this and found out it existed only because one of the stores near me had it on a display at checkout.Pepsi also dropped Sierra Mist in place of this new Starry product. Has anyone tried it and does it really taste any different? I think their marketing department will need to spend a LOT of money on ads or people will have NO idea this product is a replacement for something popular. Most people will no longer see Sierra Mist in the store, think it is no longer available and buy Sprite or 7-Up instead.

I just prefer the taste of cane sugar in most sodas. Is cane sugar much better for you vs corn syrup if you're a habitual soda consumer?
Rumor has it that Starry tastes like Mist, but with a "P".
But let's get down to brass tacks:

From the last link:
The zero versions of these drinks is far worse for you than the fructose corn syrup version. Every time they study these highly processed alternative sweeteners the worse they discover they are for you.Are we talking corn syrup or High Fructose Corn Syrup? Makes a difference. Not sure what Coke is using these days. I only drink the Zero version.
Beets? wow.I doubt anyone who drinks soda looks at it as a health food/beverage. As with most things you consume, moderation probably have more to do with it then whether or not is has some specific ingredient.
The whole cane sugar vs. sugar made from beets topic seems more like clever marketing to get people to believe one is better then another.
