I'm still out here...
As I mentioned before, I had a crazy week at work last week...then I caught the FLU. Ironic, since I won a contest a few months ago for this:

And of course, I lost a little interest in the CMO contest onece I didn't make the top 10--but I have been looking in on the thread from time to time so I wasn't TOTALLY out of the loop.

Andy, I appreciate someone who likes a good Seussing! Not only was your animation fun and interesting, but the story was really well written. Thanks for sharing.

Yours was very fun--Stop-motion would drive me nuts, I think.

I thought stop motion would drive me nuts too, but it wasn't that bad. I'd think your animation would be long and tedious actually. What programs did you use for the Heinz commercial, for example? I love learning the "How'd they do that"s in life. As far as standard video and graphics, I like using all the Adobe products, but I'm not sure for animation like you've done.
And yes, looks like we ARE competing again. Or we could say it's you and me competing against everyone else! lol They are not special DISers like us. I really liked that form of animation. Heinz would be crazy not to at least include you in the Top 10.

yep--anyone can submit or edit an article to wikipedia. you just have to make sure you have plenty of references and hope that the administrators think it's a topic worthy of keeping in the encyclopedia.

it took me awhile, but i'm glad that i did it i hope that people will find it as their web browsing about the contest!!

Things like adding a wikipedia page are the type of creative ideas I expect from the top 10. Awesome! And thanks for the fun pictures! I wanted to say that when I typed in "Dream CMO" on Google, the wikipedia page comes up on the first page! One entry above DISboards! Amazing!

I haven't forgotten about those last couple avatars--they're coming soon. My wife needed me to draw a picture for her tonight, and of course she takes priority! I'm thinking this weekend I should be able to get the last couple done, OK?

I also added a new signature counting down to my Disneyland trip...let's hope it works right...

I knew you hadn't forgotten Andy! The one's you've done already are proof! I am very excited though, whenever you are able.

They're in the mail. Really. I promise! Let me know when you get them though because I always worry about the mail and postage. With yours I actually used MORE postage than necessary (I think they were $1.30) and I used 4 regular stamps so there shouldn't be a problem. Keep looking...they should be there VERY soon!

Good Morning Everyone!

As we get closer to the Top 3, I know you Top 10ers are might be getting anxious, excited, and nervous! Unfortunately with only three chosen out of the 5 or 6 who post here, obviously the chances are that some of our board friends will find themselves moving on.....and some not. (I know we don't want to think about that part of it. ) With Easter coming and everyone having weird Spring Break times, we may not all be on the board at the same time. But I love quotes and I found a very simple one that I wanted to pass on to everyone today.... file it away in case you need it.

Also, I remember when Marshay had that awesome idea to have a 10 at 10 (10 votes and 10 o'clock) and while Eric didn't get to use it, I was surprised that no one else did! So, since I feel guilty that Eric and I haven't been on much lately, how about just for tonight we do a quick 10 votes at 10:00p.m.? When you come, bring a joke. Post it here, and even if we can't all be here at exactly 10 o'clock, then it will be reason for everyone to come back together, vote a few more times, and have a few laughs.

Yep, finally on the mend...thankfully! I've missed all you guys! We've been checking in, but life has just gone into a tailspin this past week or so. I've been trying to catch up on all that I neglected when I was glued to this board for several weeks. My kids really wanted clean clothes and when it came to Oyster Crackers for dinner I figured it was time to go grocery shopping! Oh, and then there is that whole "gotta go to work" thing!

Hi! I'm so sorry I wasn't able to get on here much yesterday. Today will be another long day but hopefully I can make another appearance a little bit later. I really do want to read back through the past few pages and reply to some of the wonderful comments!

In the short-term, however, I LOVE THE QUOTE and the idea for tonight, Mrs. Fleagle! I don't think I'll be able to be here at 10:00 (still at work, I think) but that will definitely give me a reason to pop back on and check out the jokes, quotes, and general good will that this site is known for!

We're down to only 2 and a half days to vote! If you have a favorite candidate, now is not the time to lose momentum!

If I don't see some of you on here before this weekend I hope you all have a wonderful break/long weekend/ Easter holiday!

It just hit me today that I am a winner at the CMO contest. Not in the way I had hoped or imagined, but in that I am helping make a dream come true for someone I don't even know. A random person will hopefully get the chance to be the "official CMO" thanks in part to my small efforts. That's almost as much fun as handing out that fastpass on Main Street, or informing some family that they will get to stay in the Dream Suite tonight. SO, back to the voting booth!

Any other winners out there???

One more thing before I go (I just had to respond to this one!) . . .

Timothy - I LOVE this outlook on life! That is truly the most optimistic, positive, mindset I've heard in a while! Beyond just the votes, though, you - and everyone else who is voting - are doing so much more for our souls and our spirits. I know I haven't felt this affirmed in a long time.

The support, friendly words, encouragement, jokes, and passion that have surfaced from all over the place as a result of this contest has done more for me and my self-confidence and my ability to dream bold dreams than I ever thought possible.

The votes, of course are what is needed to move on in this contest. Everything else you have done for us is what empowers us to move on to great things beyond this contest.

And THAT is something we all share. The community building, relationship nurturing, and unbelievably fun and supportive way we act with each other is part of the building blocks of a life lived to the fullest!

So (and this is for everyone!), even though we have no idea how this will all end, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Someone posted the contest on www.slickdeals.net and the thread really didn't take off with a lot of responses. After I found out that Tripp was in there for the top 10 I started searching Yahoo for blogs about the contest.

Stumbled across your little thread...so I signed up and the rest is history.

I am a CMO winner too! I have had the pleasure of turning my initial Disney Depression around by surrounding myself with likeminded Disney Fanatics! I received emails today from 3 of my new "DIS board friends" -- that is such an unexpected and welcomed outcome from this journey.

Yes, Tim, if you read my posts, I am still checking caller id for that Disney call that lost its way to me, but I guess I am a winner in that I am STILL optimisic!

So thanks for a great thread and a great attitude toward what this contest really was all about in the first place for most of us!!!
