Club Villain

We went to the 7:45 in Jan.
We met about 30 minutes before....check in is outside. There were tables there and they were serving champagne. That's when we got our invitations with table assignments and meet and greet times.
The event is 2 hours long.

We were led out. Buses were running just for the event. Multiple resorts to each bus.
The streets had CMs waving goodbye and keeping people going to the exit.

That is perfect! Thank you so much!!!

Anyone do the early seating tonight?? If so, how did your experience compare to the reports we've received in prior weeks? Wondering if they've changed anything or if the 2 shows differ at all (characters, atmosphere??) Still trying to decide which reservation to keep next Saturday. TIA!!

What's the consensus though is this worth it...? I mean the price tag is pretty steep from what it seems to offer...

And here I thought it seems reasonable seeing how it includes a show, full meal, and alcohol, all unlimited. Yes, $129 is a bit more than 1 person would spend on dinner and drinks but not a lot more. Not several drinks

I think if you read through this thread you'll see that just about everyone who attended felt it was 100% worth it - I know we did :thumbsup2 Granted nobody who is paying $129 has attended yet, but DH and I won't hesitate to book again at the higher price should this continue and still be offered during our next trip. I believe Meriweather, who attended after paying $99 is going again at the $129 price (athough I could be wrong and her 2nd CV may be in Feb so still $99 :)). You can eat/drink as much as you want. The characters are top notch and you aren't rushed AT ALL, unlike at many regular park and meal M & G's and even those during parties such as the MNSSHP (which I love) and MVMCP. The atmosphere.......is incredible. It's also very much geared towards adults rather than kids, even though kids are welcome, and I think that's worth a little $. Meeting the Queen of Hearts as a face character was a great surprise and unheard of. I hope they keep her, although I suppose I understand why she may not stay or be there every time if this continues.

If you love villains and wish they had more of a presence in the parks, there's a good chance this will be "worth it" to you.

Yes, I saw video of one Queen and we got another. Ours was far better than the other, clearly a difference in facial mannerisms. Friend was very specific that there are issues with the Queen of Hearts. Was told more about it but don't feel comfortable sharing. I would rather they rotate or replace characters than change up character meets.
I completely respect you're not wanting to share any more details of what your friend told you. Just want to say I would hate for them to completely remove the Queen of Hearts from this event; she was one of the highlights!

For those of you who have attended, were you able to also see the Star Wars fireworks afterwards?
I haven't looked at the times for any Feb. or March shows, but for the first one on Jan. 16th there was a 5:45 which we attended. We got out at approx. 7:45-7:50 and hightailed it down to Min & Bills and were able to catch the fireworks at 8 no problem. All depends what time they're doing the fireworks and what time your CV is, but CV is about 2 hours.

Loving all these posts and so excited that this event is now available for our 3/1 date! I have a couple of questions for you experts:

1) How early do they let you in prior to official start time?
2) How long does the event last?
3) what happens if the event lasts past the official park closing time as far as bus transportation back to your resort?

Here's why I'm asking, my 86 yo mom uses a mobility scooter so we need to use the busses (uber or taxi not an option) and I'm thinking about changing to the late (7:45pm) time and the park official closing is showing 8pm. I'm worried we wouldn't be able to get back to the resort.

Thanks so much.

Don't worry about a returning bus. When the event ends there will be busses lined up to take you back to the resort and they are so much closer than the regular bus lines. When you exit the park the CMs will ask you what resort and guide you to the correct bus.

I'm really happy to hear about photo pass too! We weren't planning on memory maker for this short trip, and I was considering whether we should get it to have photos at Club Villain (I'm working with the assumption that it's just a matter of *when* April dates open up. Hah!).

Just for the record, in case you aren't aware, it is quite common for guests who had late ADR to be leaving a park after it's closed. Not just at Club Villain.
Anytime there are guests leaving the park late they'll have buses out there to take you where you need to go.
It's different than at normal closing time.
They'll ask you which resort you need to return to and they'll group folks in a way that makes sense and send you off. You may be alone on a bus or with others, just depends on who else is leaving at that time.
So never worry about a late ADR or event at a park. They'll get you home :)

There was photopass when we went in Jan.

It was great!

But could you download the photos for free? I think that's what folks didn't realize. Not that they were taken but that they were free, or included in the cost of the event.

I had never heard the Photopass downloads were free until Kenny said it. We have ours but everyone in our group has it attached to our APs. Interesting that no one was talking about it before or Disney include it in their "things to know" about the event. I wonder if that has been added due to the upcoming new price.

I think they are part of the experience.....just like the free downloads for the Visa Chase M&G.

Makes sense but you would think they would list that as included on the Club Villain page so folks can see all that is included.

I just saw Kenny says they DON'T sign autographs. They all signed for us on our night.

So it seems this may be subject to change each night? They certainly had time to do so since the lines were only a couple minutes long.
