Club Villain

Odd question, but what would you have a little girl (9) wear to Club Villain to get good interaction/pictures. My dd is nonverbal (uses ASL), so we need something that is going to spark a special moment for her, since she can't do it by saying something to the characters. I thought about getting her an evil queen costume, but a friend suggested just having her wear a princess dress, because then the characters would be disgusted by her, which she would find hilarious. Thoughts?

We were there with a little (who is big on instagram) as a villain, as Maleficent in matching dress. We were right behind them. Great interaction. Since they stay story appropriate unless it's a Princess in their story probably not much. Pick one that your DD will really like to interact with and dress her either to match or provoke.

Evil Queen was very stoic and not too interactive, particularly with a child, Cruella would be awesome, Queen of Hearts will be great if she is there (some rumors of some changes) and Maleficent was cool I think you could get creative with her. Cruella would be my pick.

Scroll down she has about 3 pics at Club https://www.instagram.com/growingupatdisney/Villain. https://www.instagram.com/growingupatdisney/

If the interactions here are similar to the Villains' Sinister Soiree a while back, I would concur re: Cruella. Maleficent was great, but Cruella was the most fun to interact with!

I just saw Kenny says they DON'T sign autographs. They all signed for us on our night.

So it seems this may be subject to change each night? They certainly had time to do so since the lines were only a couple minutes long.
We didn't bring anything to sign but they were signing books, pillowcases and t-shirts for quite a few guests on the first night.

Just in case anyone is still on the fence about booking this event, DO IT!!! It was the best experience we've ever had at WDW!! The theming and attention to detail was unbelievable, all of our character interactions were amazing, and it was overall just such a fun event! But boy, did those 2 hours go fast!!

While it is definitely geared toward adults, there were 8-10 kids at our show and all of them seemed to be enjoying themselves. DH and I even commented that our kids would have probably had a blast (we were there for an adults-only weekend), though they probably wouldn't have eaten a thing! In fact, the food was the only negative in my opinion - but I'm a bit of a picky eater. The beef was quite tasty, though far too pink for my liking. And I don't do seafood. Luckily the desserts were all amazing....and yes, I tried most of them!! :)

The characters all signed for us, too. I asked at check-in and was told they would not, but all accommodated when asked. And having assigned times for the M&Gs meant there was never more than 1 or 2 people in line behind you, so we never felt rushed in our interactions. Cruella and I had a lovely conversation about puppies, the Evil Queen offered to hire DH as her new huntsman, and he and Malificient talked at length about Prince Phillip's lucky shot. The ladies were all fabulous.

Even at the new price, totally worth the cost. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if it continues, and would even pay to take the kids next time!

Thanks for the review! This looks amazing, each review I've seen seems amazing.

Put me in the camp of (impatiently) waiting for April to open up! :badpc:

Without having to read through this whole thread can anyone tell me how long this is taking place? I am not finding any dates. I looked on the disney world website and they are taking ressies for select nights in March. Does this event run into May? I am trying to decide if we want to even visit HS and this would be great.

Unknown official answer. So far it's booking in March but they did increase the days and number of shows. Fingers crossed!

So glad you're experience was as great as ours was! DH and I were lucky enough to be on an adults-only trip too when we went :goodvibes I know our kids would love it though. We'll be back in Nov. and if Disney is smart enough to continue Club Villain we'll definitely go with the kids!

I love the shirt your wearing in the pictures BTW- where did you get it?

anxiously awaiting news on extended dates for this event! When we went to our first MNSSHP in Sept, we were hoping for another Villains special event but that didn't happen. crossing fingers this will continue until we're able to visit WDW again!!

I am so heartbroken that we had to cancel this last weekend. I got super sick (right before my glass slipper races) and couldn't eat anything. And just when they had opened the 4:15 time! I'm so hoping this becomes a permanent addition.

I was really hoping Club Villain would open up past March this AM, but still no luck. there are some strong rumors that river of light dining packages will open up either the 2nd or 3rd--maybe CV will open up at the same time!

I checked CV and the Star Wars fireworks dessert party this morning, hoping that they might have quietly made changes to these while everyone was looking for the ROL dining package! Oh well, fingers crossed that they will both get extended soon!

So the link is now showing active for Saturday nights only in April! It told me no times available when I tried to book April 2nd, so I'm now on hold to see if I can book with a cast member. Listing shows at 5:45 and 9 pm!

That was how the March dates originally opened (with the exception that there were Tuesday events). Eventually the links changed to show available reservations
