We're debating staying at CL at the poly. I was wondering if there are bottled waters that you can take back to your room/to the parks in the lounge? I was going to use garden grocer for beer/water, but if CL has both that would be a big advantage....

There are bottles of water that you can bring back to your room. To use it to bring to the park, you would need to pour it into something else. The bottles that they will give you are large glass bottles. There also is beer available. You will need to ask for both water and beer, but while the lounge is open, they are available whenever you want.

This was not at the Polynesian but one time while my family and I were staying Club Level at the Contemporary my mom asked for some water and the Cast Member gave her one of the huge bottles, which was more then she needed. So if you ask them I am sure they won't mind giving a bottle to you.

we stayed at AKL club in Dec and anytime we needed water for our room they gave us 2 big glass bottles...it is NOT rude at all to ask for water.

I think its very rude to ask for a whole botlle.

We just got back from the Boardwalk CL and we were told by the CM at Check-in that if we needed any water to just ask for it and they would give us the bottles to bring to our room..I dont understand why you think it is rude. It is something that is included in the concierge service. In fact I asked for one bottle and they gave me two...

Ditto for us at the GF....I was filling up cups late in the evening for our family to take back to the room and the CM said just take the bottle!!! so nice and very convenient...:)

As we are at the GF on club level right now I can assure you that the staff does not advocate to take whole bottles to your room.

As a matter of fact the lounge food is supposed to be for a snack not fore hoarding water ore food at your room.

In my families experience staying Club Level at the Contemporary and Polynesian, the Cast Members don't mind if you bring food back to your room if you don't want to eat it in the lounge.

Well, If you feel that way, then dont take any water..But dont tell me it is rude when we were told it is perfectly fine to ask for it and they even gave us more than we wanted. We never would have even thought of asking for bottled water until they brought it up to us at check-in. It is also perfectly fine to take your food back to your room. More than once when we were in the lounge getting our food, there were no seats available and we took it back to our room. I have never seen anyone taking a huge amount of food from the lounge to save in their room though.:confused3

You are paying quite a premium for Club Level services which includes the lounge offerings. Included in that is water.

If you think it is rude to take a bottle of water back to your room, then don't take it. But then don't grab yourself a soda or cup of coffee to enjoy back in your room either. What makes the water so unacceptable?

If you are in doubt when you get there just ask the CM's if that is acceptable.

It is also acceptable to take the coffee tray that is in your room and bring food from the lounge back to your room for yourself or the rest of the family.

Have a great time!

We just stayed Club level at the Boardwalk Inn and every day the cast members were asking guests if they wanted a water to bring back to the room. Not sure why things would be different at the GF. And CM's encouraged you to also take extra cookies or potatoe chips back to your room to snack on later.

Hey Diesel..When were you there? I just got back from Boardwalk club level too! We were there from April 30-May 4th and I am just down the road from you here in Chelmsford! Maybe we crossed paths?

Well I don't think it's rude at all to ask for water. YC and BC CL cast members definitely told us to take the bottle back to the room when I asked for water.

Now I suppose the one poster will think we are really rude. We are staying at BC CL in a deluxe room. The deluxe rooms are not on the same floor as the CL lounge so I'm sure there will be lots of times when I will fill a tray (especially am breakfast time) to bring down to our room. I've done this lots of times as it helps to hurry the kids along getting dressed in the morning. Now especially when we will be some distance from the CL room I'm sure that sometimes I will be bringing things back to the room.

So if you are at BC CL June 28-July 12 and you see someone bringing a tray full back don't think I'm hoarding -It will be for all 5 of us!

Honestly not trying to be controversial here, but having stayed in both SL and RPC at the GF I have not had this experience at all. In fact, I have taken water back to my room during both of these stays with no indication whatsoever from the CL staff that it was frowned upon.:confused3

Not trying to pick a fight, just want the OP to get the answer she is looking for.:)

We were there April 25 - May 1st. We may have crossed paths for one day. We stayed in the Garden Suites.

Have you asked the lounge staff or are you assuming? We have always been offered water to take back to the room (and by always I mean the one time we stayed at BWI:rotfl2:)

We have stayed at countless clubs across Disney to include GF...it is not an issue to take a bottle back to your room and if one was to ask a club CM they would tell you.

They used to give out bottles to take, but now they just have the big glass bottles of Evian. I didn't feel comfortable asking for one at either AKL or Poly lounges last month.

There have been posts on other threads about this -- some people have no trouble getting a bottle of water, some do. It may just depend on which CM you ask. I decided it wasn't worth worrying about and took care of our water "needs" myself.

We stayed CL, but I had 3 cases of water shipped to our room by Garden Grocer, so it wasn't really an issue. If you buy your water that way, you can save a bundle over buying it in the parks.:)
