Club level food question

Club level at AK is great for breakfast but apps around dinner will NOT fill up a teenager boy!!! Apps while you get ready for a full dinner sounds realistic. :genie:
That works! He can snack on apps while I get ready for dinner.

I have a teen, a pre-teen, and a younger kiddo who unfortunately got my impulsive eating tendencies.
For all of them. th eCL breakfast offerings would be enough. I would however recomend that your son take several trips. The only time I noticed anyone looking twice was when the most popular item was replenished and gone 2 people later because they took all of them. Enjoy your CL stay!
Prefect! :) thank you!

You'll be fine at WL. I like the way their lounge is set up. As others said, check for the schedule of times food is out, which they will post in the hall. If you need something then, ask a CM - CMs at WL are top notch. You picked a good one. We usually get a plate, but go back and forth getting more of what needed. You can be in and out grabbing whatever you need all day! Watch fireworks on balcony, or way down back hall is an area. The appetizer portion hot stuff leans toward the theme of resort. Also, try their specialty beers or their beer on tap.
This makes me really excited!! :)

We were at WL in September and the CMs were amazing! We were so sad to say goodbye, they were all so nice to us and especially to our kids. They even made the kids baggies of snacks to take for the day and gave us waters and milks to put in our stroller cooler. There was certainly nobody policing the food or drinks, the exact opposite in our opinion. At the end of the night they would even send my husband and I back with two glasses of beer/wine each so we would have an extra in case they were done for the night and we wanted more. I know everyone's experiences are different but I can not rave enough about how fantastic they all were.

Not sure how you and your son eat but we aren't huge eaters and don't eat heavy. Breakfast offerings were more than plenty for us, and dinner was pretty close to enough as well. Lunch was not enough though, even for us, so you will likely need to supplement there. Somedays they had pinwheel sandwiches and those were the days when we were ok, but without the pinwheels it was a light service. Hope this helps! :)

We have a teenage son, and he was asking “Can I eat breakfast or appetizers in the Club Level Lounge and take enough to fill me up? Or is it the kind of place where I need to take one slice of cheese, one cracker and be on my way?”
This will be our first Club Level experience so I’m not really sure what the etiquette is on eating in the loung.
People regularly eat full breakfasts at club level. And as for the other snacks and apps throughout the day, yes, feel free to fill up. That's what you're paying for and it isn't unusual at all. No one would pay the club level premium to be limited to one slice of cheese and a cracker.

Great to know - yes, our last YC CL stay was 2017. We had several disappointing BC/YC CL stays between 2014-2017 and I swore off CL there but perhaps we should give it another try.
We had a great experience with BC CL last August. There was always ample food out during the scheduled food service times we attended, although I don't recall making it to the evening appetizer service, so I can't comment on that. But breakfast was big and varied, there were always sodas and ice cream available 24/7, and there were lots of snacks throughout the day. No CM seemed to be monitoring what anyone ate- they were gracious and helpful.

I read somewhere that Club Level has been improving throughout the past 5 years, as Disney's prices have gone up, and with them, the expectations of their club level guests. I can't speak to that first hand as we've only done club level once last summer, but as I said it was a completely satisfactory experience.

This is a huge help and

This is a huge help and really makes me even more excited for our trip! :) we are figuring on breakfast and coffee in the lounge in the morning. I usually just have an oatmeal or fruit so I know I’ll be fine. He should be good with the bagels and pastries. And lunch we will probably eat by the pool. (There is a lunch place by the pool right?) haha then some apps around dinner time. And we can always eat after that as well if we want. We are very go with the flow.
I didn’t realize until this post that we could take items out of the lounge. So we can grab waters for the park or snacks to eat in the room? What about if I want a beer or wine to bring to the pool? Is that allowed?
At Wilderness, what other Club Level amenities did you enjoy? I want to make sure we are experiencing everything we should be.

Perfect! Thank you. :) my son is very excited about staying Club Level for the first time!

If there are guests behind you in line waiting to get some of the food, you don't clear out the place or take most of the food. Take a few pieces and move on. Then go back and get more.

Well, yes. My son is a polite kid, he wouldn’t do that. :) He wants to make sure he’s not breaking club level etiquette by going back up for seconds or taking 2 of something.

We got a free upgrade to Club level last time we stayed at Yacht Club and had my 21 yr old son with us. We could eat as much as we wanted- no one really pays attention. You can sit in the club lounge or on patio and go back as much as you want, or can load up a plate of goodies and take to your room as well. They have a ton of food to choose from.

That was our experience as well. It was never terribly crowded and they were very good at refilling anything they ran out of.

You can definitely take anything from the lounge back to your room! We have small kids so one of our favorite things was coming back in the afternoon and we would grab some snacks, drinks, coffees to recharge while they were napping. The CMs would always go out of their way to ask if my husband wanted a beer to go too which he always took them up on. 🤣

We didn't take beer or wine to the pool with us so I'm not 100% sure what the rules are on that. With two small kids we needed all of our hands free for the pool and splash pad.

We've done club level at the Poly (free upgrade, woohoo!) and at the Grand Floridian - ate as much as we wanted and took a small plate of desserts back to the room with us at night. Everyone was very nice and the staff was great at both places. We're headed to CL at the Beach Club next month and I can't WAIT!

On a side note, I think it's really very sweet that your son is wanting to make sure he doesn't break any etiquette rules - what a great and thoughtful kid!

That’s great! :) I know they have the pool bar but figured if I paid for the club then taking a beer to the pool makes more since than buying one at the bar lol but I’ll ask when we get there.

Thank you so much! :) Hes a big dopey teen jock but has his moments Hahahaha

Since you’ve done a couple Club level vacations, what would you say the perks are that you liked the most.

You can take alcoholic drinks from the lounge to the pool, just make sure to let the lounge CMs know your plan so that they can put the drinks in plastic containers for you as no glass containers are allowed in the pool areas. I usually grab a mimosa in a plastic glass from a CM and make myself some snacks to take using the to go paper cups when I go to the pool, they likely have paper bowls or something available but I find gummy bears fit just fine in the little to go paper cups.

Oh that’s sounds wonderful! I didn’t realize mimosas were avialable at the lounge.

It can be a real time-saver (especially when you're tired/hot/lazy) - no running down to quick service for a drink, snack, etc. Now that our girls are older (mine are 13 and 16), it's a nice way to fill up a little before heading back out for (usually) a late dinner, and it's usually pretty quiet. We've also used the concierge for help on a room/ticket issue - same great service as those at the front desk but usually with far less of a line. Honestly I'm almost at the point in life where I'd be happy getting up early and just sitting in the lounge all day in the AC, eating snacks :P
