As for the sand... Luke has yet to eat any in our sandbox. I have high hopes. I think though my girls will probably prefer the pool...

Don't forget we'll be there for a few days too!!! Unless the Beach Club comes through at the last minute!

BUT Laura, I think Wigd meant that Luke will get the sand IN his suit by just being in the sand... you know, how you can't escape sand creeping into the lining and folds and pockets in swim suits? I HOPE she didn't mean that he would take that shovel and eat it !!! BUT, then again....

So basically unless you never book at the 11 month window it does not pay to have add on points at different Resorts. I see there are others going at the same time as us in July - our dismeet is getting bigger!

Well, not necessarily. We own at two resorts, and have used the 11-month window twice, once at each resort (3 studios @ Christmas - SSR; next spring break @ AKL - club level). But, we have a decent amount of points at both resorts, so with borrowing if necessary, we can accommodate most trips @ the 11-month mark. It's probably not worth it to just add on 50 points at another resort, though.

Yeah, that DVC get-together on the cruise resulted in us adding on points! And winning a DCL/DVC beach towel.

When we go to the beach we have sand everywhere!
In our suits.
Stuck to our feet.
Stuck on our legs.
On our towels.
All over the beach toys.
I'm sure we will take our share of Castaway Cay back with us after the cruise.

I'm looking forward to the DVC party! Hopefully we will win something, that's the only way we will walk out of there with anything unless they are giving something away.

If you are serious about purchasing a resale contract, I suggest contacting Timeshare Store. Tell them what you are looking for. They will find it for you.

Wigd - the last time I called the timeshare store I got the attitude that they couldn't be bothered. The person who sold me my first contract basically just told me I would have to check the postings everyday and he didn't seem the least bit interested in hearing what I was looking for. He was not at all willing to contact me should a contract arise. In fact, he acted like I was bothering him. Sort-of turned me off.

I think I will look more seriously when I get back from my next trip.

Here's a tip for you guys about sand. Just take some baby powder and sprinkle it where you have sand stuck to you. It will wipe right off. Just a tip I learned on the cruise threads.

Just wanted to say hi!

We had a fantastic "minnie" trip (haha) last week, but I haven't managed to catch up on all of the TR stuff I missed while away.

I looked for Julia twice last Wednesday, but I didn't see her. We had fabulous seats for the Wishes Dessert Buffet-the view was to die for-but can you believe that I really didn't like any of the desserts? My favorite was the banana cream from the banana cream tart (but not the shell) and the glazed donut hole! I did drink 3 glasses of milk, though. I am really not a picky person either-I just must have not been in a dessert mood or something.


MeMom-just cuz I know you read Wigd's TR-I will have to catch up on your thread over the weekend. I'll be sure to say hi, but in the meantime-DH liked POP and thinks it's perfect for our kids this summer!

We stayed in the 50's at Pop for part of our trip and LOVED it... it was our 3rd time staying there and I just love it so much. It was our first time staying in the 50's and I was kinda disappointed cause I loved the 60's but I really wanted to try something new also. Anyway I ended up LOVING it in the 50's! We had a room right in front of the pool and it was perfect. Anyway keep it up cause I am loving it!!

I thought of you yesterday when Luke dropped his sippy cup in the sandbox... he took a drink and had a fit. I will try to conserve your sand and investment.

Hannah says she is not getting in the ocean, therefore her sister says she is swimming in the ocean. I can think of nothing better than sending Luke and Hannah with Doug to the pool and keeping Emily at the beach (unless I can get Emily to go with him too). So you think Vero 2011? Summer when the points are less?

I think I am going to meet with my guide when we go in 9 days! She said there are some good incentives for add-ons for people who are staying onsite. She wouldn't say what. Apparently you have to BE on site to get this incentive. She actually called me the other night. Must have known we were coming to visit. Anyway - now I am curious, so I think I might have to stop by for those FP's and to get the scoop. She said they are buying back a lot of beach club contracts right now, so 100 pts at the BC is not out of the question.

I can't wait to hear if they are any different than they were when we were there over spring break. I'll bet it's the cruise, last years points depending on your use year or money off the purchase price.

You might have to do one more day at Disney after Vero Beach next summer so you can see us! Our last day of school next year is Wednesday, June 8! So we'll probably make our "last hurrah" annual pass trip from the 9th or 10th until the 16th when the APs expire. Can't be in WDW once they expire, though...
