I don't think I could stay at that resort. Clown Looked too freaky in the pictures I've seen!

Also a real question. How is it staying there with small children and no counter service rest?

We constantly buy milk, juice, snacks.

My kids like the clown, but I have a pretty brave bunch that has never been scared of much! I thought BW DID have a snack bar type place, I thought all of the deluxes did?? We have stayed at BC, WL, and the Poly and they all have snacky places in adddition to the nicer restaurants.

You can buy milk, juice and snacks at the main store on the Boardwalk and with a fridge in the room you can keep stuff cold. The name of the store escapes me right now. They also have a couple of places along the boardwalk to get other types of food like pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, ice cream, etc. We really had no issues at all finding food that we needed and I was traveling with a 4 year old.

As for the clown pool....I HATE clowns and wasn't thrilled about seeing the pool but I can tell you that it was actually very nice and my DD LOVED the slide.....even though it was freaky looking! :rotfl:

the picture makes it look ICKY but once you are there it is very lovely and you hardly see the clown at all

Great themed area

My kids love the clown water slide - they say it is faster than the other WDW resort slides. Speed freaks!!! The clown's face has never freaked them out - they just thought it was fun.

We get snacks from the general store, as mentioned in an above post. Very convenient.

I feel the exact same way about that clown, makes me think of Stephen King's IT:scared: : . It freaks me out. I have avoided the BWI because of it. With that said, I decided to face my fear as the BWI is a great resort, and I am staying there for 5 nights on my next trip. Not sure I will use that pool though:clown:

I rented points at the BWV. My kids really liked the pool. They both have been to Gymboree classes so they have no issues with clowns. I got a grocery order the day I arrived so the snack thing wasn't a problem. There is a Kiosk on the Boardwalk that offers hot dogs and chicken fingers and there is a Pizza Window at Spoodles so the kids were fine with that.

We don't like the clown, but the quiet pool is very nice. We have no problem finding snacks at the Screen Door General Store.

I don't care for BWI, but it had a pretty decent pool and the clown isn't as big a deal as he seems in the pics. They also have a great selection of snacks/food in the General Store (the one out on the Boardwalk, not the gift shop in the hotel.)

One of the things I don't like, though, is that there isn't a restaurant in the hotel. You have to go out to the boardwalk...and even there if you don't want mediterranean, fish, or a sports bar...you're pretty much out of luck restaurant-wise.

The bakery, though, YUUUMMY!! :cutie:

I'm with you! Although the description of the slide itself sounds fun, that clown is creepy looking!!!

No one actually likes clowns. However my kids enjoyed the pool a lot.

There are plenty of places to buy drinks and snacks in and around the BWI.

My kids would be fine with it they are Gymboree kids too. It's me that hates the clowns. Bad incident with a Bozo doll when I was little, thank you big brother!

Good to know there is a place to buy snacks. Thanks for the info!!!

We stayed at BW in October with a 4 year old. It is the perfect resort, unless you want CS meals. Then, it's pretty bad. Especially if you're on DDP. Only the BW Bakery gave CS meals on DDP (premade sandwiches only). The kiosk on the Boardwalk, Spoodles window (this location stopped honoring DDP durign our visit), and the BW pool bar do not honour DDP (pool bar only had pre-made sandwiches).

I love the resort, but won't stay there again due to the lack of a decent CS location.
