We plan to spend the entire day at the parks, from opening to closing. I know to wear good tennis shoes and take sunblock and rain poncho's. But what clothing in early march? Shorts or jeans? Do we need a sweater? I'm houston and it's hot here in March, but I'm thinking it could be really cool there? I'm not sure!

i think it all depends what you define as hot.

we leave wed and the weather forecast is calling for sunny and 70s in the day, upper 50s for night. for us, that means shorts, baby! we'll wear shorts and t shirts, sometimes even tank tops. then in the evening if it gets brezzy, we'll use a sweatshirt.

but i'm coming from temps that have been sub zero. this week of course we're getting a hot spell (30s).

good point, warm to me is mid-90's...just kidding, sorta :) I've only been to florida in the summer, so I'm not sure how to pack, I guess we'll pack shorts and throw in a few jeans. Definately sweatshirts for evening, we're whimps :)

Mkae use of the lockers at the parks! Seven dollars to rent, but you get 5 back once you turn in the key. Store the sweatshirts (and long pants, if you want) so you don't have to lug them around!

great idea! I was worried about lugging around everyone's sweatshirts for a family of 5!

I thought I read that you get $2 back.

Yeah-- you only get $2.00 back. It would be quite a deal if the locker rentals were only $2.00. We use them for our stuff. Especially a change of clothing for anyone doing Kali or Sp MTN (just in case we're that one that does managed to get soaked). I definetly think March is up and down. Really a lot depending on where you are coming from. It's funny to be down there and see people decked out in sweaters and right next to them in tank tops. You can tell who's from the milder areas, and who has just battled 3 months of below freezing temps.

I for one am only bringing 1 pair of pants other than those I'm wearing down. Unless I see a drastic change in the weather pattern between now and when I leave.
