We were hoping that since the sellers accepted our offer within about 10min of us making it, that they would also be very prompt about getting their closing docs turned in. And now it's been a week and we haven't heard anything,

I would go ahead and email the title company to see where you are in the process.

Yes, definitely email. Cc your broker, too, so everyone is on the same page.

For the buyer, I'll estimate 2.5 weeks to get the membership number, so they are looking at approximately 101 days from offer to contract, and there is no telling when points will load.

I was surprised by how long it took them to return their closing documents!! I gave an extension but was firm about cancelling the contract (and keep funds) if they did not meet the second close date. They did, and I'm glad it is done.

Resale isn't for the faint of heart!

We were at WDW on 10/11 and wrapped up in that post-hurricane trip, so I waited until I returned home to email asking if they had made their notary appointment. From then on, the title agent and I had 45+ emails back and forth about the delays.

I'm about the same, but you're a day or two ahead of me. 2 weeks since the deed was recorded, and still no email. I'm trying to be patient, but this contract has banked points, and there is a very small amount of time > 7 months where I'll still have a chance to book at VGC.

Currently, yes. We had a BLT contract that we sold in 2018 and bought in again to CCV. So, technically, I have no existing membership. The BLT welcome home contract came in the mail in 2016.

Since you dont currently have a membership you will have to wait. For a long time you would get both emails same day, but seems that lately that hasn't been happening. Resale doesnt get anything in the mail upon purchasing.

I just did the chat and they told me to call. I called and she tried to help but told me that because I don't have the ID number they couldn't verify me so they wouldn't give me the information. She said give it 24 hours then call back and speak to member admin team.

I have no idea if this works…. But I wonder if you get your contract number off your deed and give that to them, maybe they can verify that way?

That is interesting. I may try that tomorrow. I'll look up my deed now and print it. When I was on the phone I got the feeling that she knew my member/club ID # but wouldn't tell me it because she couldn't verify me. You would think there would be a way to do that verification without all this waiting. {sigh}

My patience needs more patience... Deed recorded 10/28 and still waiting. Checked and rechecked spam folder and everywhere else on gmail.
This is my first contract so I am really anxious and want to start booking trips. Lol
I may need an intervention before this is over.

I’m in the same boat. Closed on 10/24. Deed recorded on 10/29. Nothing on my dashboard yet. This is my 6th contract and by far the longest that it has ever taken to show up.
