A little update:

Deed recorded: 10/24
Contract Showing on Membership (existing member): 11/11

Points are not loaded. I'll reach out tomorrow. I forgot to check my DVC dashboard this weekend, so I'm not sure when it was added to my existing membership.

Where does the contract show up? I've just been looking at my dashboard for the loaded points.

I'm reposting so those waiting can compare their time lines to mine.

This process was extremely long and had me concerned while I was waiting for the seller docs. But once those were in everything else took the time everyone was reporting in. But now our family has the contract we always wanted and are starting to plan our next vacation.

82 days is a very long time. Congrats for crossing the finish line!

When I signed in it showed a picture of my resort, and when I clicked on dashboard it was listed, but points say 0

We were on a very similar timeline as far as seller taking awhile to return closing docs. Mine took 19 days after receiving them. Money was wired quickly on my part. I just had to shake my head. Don’t people want their money?? I realize there can be many reasons, but in the moment I wish it had been faster!

My patience needs more patience... Deed recorded 10/28 and still waiting. Checked and rechecked spam folder and everywhere else on gmail.
This is my first contract so I am really anxious and want to start booking trips. Lol
I may need an intervention before this is over.

Please update once you get that email. My deed was recorded on 11/1 and I am also anxiously waiting.

The deed for our first contract was recorded on 10/24. On Saturday, 11/09, I received the first email with the activation code. I was hoping I would have received our Member ID email today but no luck. Thoughts on when I should expect to receive the second email?

Ok maybe I am two days away from receiving my first email... deed recorded 10/28.

Received our activation code on 10/31 and we are still waiting for the Member ID email. Seems like we have to call Member Administration. 😕

I can't remember....is it standard practice for the title company to email you when the sellers send in the paperwork and closing occurs? Or should I just be stalking the comptroller's website for the deed?

Yes they should be contacting you as soon as the seller turns in their docs. They will email you when the closing date is scheduled.
This process is usually done within a week if sellers are quick to turn in docs. You can decide how long is too long to wait, but if a week of has gone by with not emails, I would be contacting the title company to see where you are in the process.
The closing and deed recording happen one right after the other, usually within a day of each other.

I'm kind of chomping at the bit here because I need points to load by 12/9 to use them for a stay we already have booked. 😉 We were hoping that since the sellers accepted our offer within about 10min of us making it, that they would also be very prompt about getting their closing docs turned in. And now it's been a week and we haven't heard anything, so maybe they're not being so prompt with those.

Initial contract is broker not title co, so it could be a slow processing by title co not slow sellers. But also closing docs need to be notarized which can cause delays.

I would go ahead and email the title company to see where you are in the process. Has the title company received docs from the seller? Are they working on setting up a closing date, etc. Any concerns or questions you have. Sending emails to ask about the process can sometimes have the agent specifically look for your contract so they will then work on it sooner instead of waiting until they get to it in the order it was put into their pile they are working on. Without emailing the title company you might wait an additional 1-2 weeks depending on how many contracts they are working on.
