Closing Time!

Has anyone else seen a long wait time between getting their activation code and club ID emails? I received the activation code last Saturday, but still no club ID. I called in a few days ago and they basically just told me to keep waiting.. which is trying really hard to do!
Never seen anyone say it takes that long in between.

P.S. Someone mentioned about feeling uncomfortable calling DVC regarding their "resale" versus direct. Honestly, I don't think the DVC staff (other than the sales department - and they tend to be nice by nature anyway) care that you are resale - to them you're just a DVC member and they always seem genuinely happy for me when I call to discuss a new contract or trip. Don't let the whole blue/white card extras distract you from a) saving a boatload of money, b) enjoying your incredible resort stays, and c) the new DVC friends you'll make along the way - who are happy if you are white card if they are blue, 'cause then they can take you with them to extra stuff they paid a boatload of money for lol!

Same here. We closed on first ever DVC contract on 10/8 and received activation code email 10/23 but still haven’t received the club ID email. I’ve called as well and they as told same! We are impatiently waiting!

For what it’s worth, we closed on 10/1 & still haven’t received a response from Disney. Also impatiently waiting!

Just one data point but I received my activation code email this past Wednesday 10/23. I was unsure of the process with the Club ID so I called that day to ask about it. They couldn’t really help because they need my Member ID to help…sort of a chicken and egg situation. They suggested calling back today 10/25 if the club ID email didn’t arrive.

I called today and they were able to reach the department that handles that information. The email with my Club ID showed up within the hour. I was able to setup my account easily.

I was curious about the points getting loaded so I called on my drive home. They were able to load them during the call which was awesome.

Now to book some trips…

I got my Activation Code on Monday, and after calling Member Services today, they were able to submit a request to have the Club ID emailed to me, and it came within 30 minutes after that.

Hmmm I just got off the phone with them and they told me to reach out to the broker. They are unable to verify me without my membership if or club id...

I actually went thru the same issue. Got the Activation Code on Monday. Late Tuesday I called and they said they couldn’t verify me without the Member ID and to try giving it another day or two. Called again on Wednesday and via the phone tree tried going to a different dept, which was just an automated message asking me to email them. I emailed them and got a response on Thursday asking me to call back but then press options 1 and then 6 to speak with an agent. Called back on Friday and that agent was able to help submit the request to get the email sent out again. She did ask me a few questions to verify my identity - full name, email, city, and state.

I just called again, and was told to send an email! Frustrating. Hopefully that gets a quick response!

An update:

-First phone call to member service told me to ask my broker
-Asked broker they said they can't help need to call Member Service.
-Second phone call to member service told me to email the admin department
-sent email and got response back after 5 hours saying they can't verify me using email or online chat, need to call Member Service
-Third phone call finally got an agent that tried to help me and started verifying me. The first 2 agents did even get this far and told me they couldn't help. After verification, he said his support team has submitted a ticket to the office who deals with club id # and I should be getting that on Monday when they are back to work!

I am hoping that email gets to me and I don't have to jump through hoops trying to find an agent that bothered to help!

Dang, haveta use those points at Aulani lol. The only reason I would pause for two seconds might be flight availability or prices - but if that looks good consider Aulani a great way not to waste points ;) Aloha!!!! and send us a photo of the ocean. Seriously, who ever gets tired of pretty ocean photos!

From where we are the flights aren't much worse to Aulani and we have airline bucks we can use/companion vouchers.
We could do up 4 days in a 1bd at SSR but my wife doesn't feel that's special enough for our first trip haha.

My first DVC trip was to Aulani. Wasn't sure how much I would like it. I fell in love. Congrats!!
