So, now that all the rooms at WDW are "non smoking", do the old smoking rooms still smell of smoke? I am going to be staying at POR in Sep., and like the location of bldg. 18, but I HATE staying in smoking rooms!
I don't know how you can make a former smoking room a non smoking room. The horrendous odor would be imbedded in everything. They would have to remove and destroy the old bedding, mattresses, curtains, etc, etc.
I would absolutley request to NOT be put in a former smoking room. And believe me, DW would know it the minute we walked in the room.![]()
The Swan has been 100% smoke free now for some time... with outdoor DSA areas. You'd have to contact them to find out exactly where they are located.
According to their website, the Dolphin is still booking smoking rooms.
Thanks for that information. Do you happen to know which DTD hotels still have smoking rooms?
Actually, the Downtown Disney properties are not owned by Disney and would be subject to each individual chain's or owner's smoking rules. Chances are, they all still have smoking and non-smoking rooms, but Guests would need to check with each individual property.
Really? I had thought that other than the Swan, Dolphin, and Shades of Green every resort on property was Disney owned.
