Truly, there wouldn't be a point in using DVC points for this. Just book a Campsite in advance.

I was just thinking that the refined cheat on this is a campsite throwaway - but any on site CRO booking will do. Book and cancel.

Cancelling a room doesn't change already made ADRs (shhhh - or FPs for that matter).

I've not done this on purpose but have backed into it before. I booked a DVC room for us at 11 months this past December and realized after I made 60 day FPs that I had expiring Wyndham points AND Bonnet Creek was done renovating and actually returning cancelled reservations to inventory. So. I booked Bonnet Creek for us and rented out our Dec Poly reservation at about the 50 day mark. FPs stayed put.

The 180+10 for ADRs and 60 for FPs are gate keepers. You have to have the key to get in (on site reservation) but once those reservations are made, the horse is out of the barn (I love a good mixed metaphor).

And, like I said, the 180+ can be a bit of a lie. Just go hang on the Restaurants board.

"Why can't I make an ADR at {INSERT RESTAURANT HERE} at 180+(number between 0 and 10)?"
