Just returned tonight from our first trip to WL. We loved every night we were there. We have found our favorite resort and will not stay another place. Thank you everyone that helped us with questions. It was a perfect visit! We're already planning our 2013 trip with a longer stay.

Thought we could use a photo or two or...

It's pictures like these that keep sending me back to crunching numbers for our May trip. I'm sure we will be happy at POR but we have had so many wonderful trips at the WL that I'm having a hard time thinking about staying somewhere else. Sigh....

Hi Everyone! I know you guys are always so good on making sure everyone knows how much we love WL and Disney in general! I can't believe our trip is coming up so fast, we have had this planned since we officially booked it in Sept.

I do have a few questions for anyone willing to help us out.....

First, has anyone ordered groceries for delivery to WL? We are scheduled to land at Orlando around 9pm, or even 9:30pm. We probably wouldn't be checked in until after 10pm...I'm pretty sure of that. Of course it is on a Sunday. I guess I would have to check into the online grocery stores and if they even deliver on Sundays. Does anyone have any experience with Sunday and/or late night arrivals? Should I call the resort directly to let them know?

Second question is pretty straight forward: Do they still have the wired daily internet charge? They haven't happened to switch to something more wireless, have they?

Ok...those were the two burning questions. Any help would be appreciated!

Internet is now wireless and no charge.

If you rent a villa from Dave's and want Housekeeping everyday (same as done in a resort room - fresh towels and beds made) - would it be the full cleaning and the towel service (45.00) or just the full cleaning (30.00)?

We're booked! WL for our first Christmas at WDW!!!:goodvibes

Can anyone tell me if WL had any AP rates the 1st week of Dec. last year? What percentage and did it include Courtyard Views?

Internet is now wireless and no charge.

Thus far, Deluxe and Moderate level resorts now have free WiFi in all rooms and common areas. Here is the link to the Internet Info. sticky:

Thanks Grumpy Grandma & Kook for the info on wireless...and also for the link :goodvibes.

Congrats on booking the WL for Christmas :santa:. The WL is gorgeous any time of year, but especially during the holidays......you're going to love it :goodvibes.

Hi, we are looking at booking a couple of nights at WL in October. Its DH, DS8 and myself.

I noticed that you can't specifically choose a room type, just says Standard Club Level.

How do I ensure we get a room with 2 Queens or Queen and Bunks. I don't want the 3 of us in a King Bed. Or because there are 3 of us, would we definitely not get a King bed room?

Appreciate your advice.

Also can someone explain to me the whole Club Level process? Where do you check-in? Are you able to make room request in advance? etc....

I have found lots of posts about the lounge itself, but want to understand more about the other benefits and processes.

Cheers
Angela

Welcome, Angela! The first page of the thread has a section on the Old Faithful Club's amenities and check-in process. Post #4 on the first page should answer most of your questions.

A STD Club level room means that your room could have a view of the inner courtyard of WL, the courtyard of VWL or the woods facing toward the MK and the CR. While you can't book a specific bed-type, you can request it whenever you make your reservation and/or you can also make requests through the IPO (Itinerary Planning Office) using the email in post # 4. You can also indicate a room view/location preference.

I have always found that the WL room assignor does a wonderful job in accommodating guest's requests. They would never assign a king bed to 3 people. King rooms only accommodate up to 2. Indicate your desire for a bunk or two queens and they will do their best to fulfill your request. If you're not happy when you check-in, they will work with you to make you happy.

I think you'll be very pleased with the Old Faithful Club - they are very friendly and welcoming and take pride in a job well done.

Hi All,
I'm new here (on the WL page). But after searching options all day and night I think for our next trip 2 WL rooms will give us the most room and will be the most economical.

Now I have 2 questions though I was hoping you could help me out with.
1. Can you get a adjoining rooms and if so can you do a bunk and reg adjoining rooms?

2. How do strollers work on the Magic Kingdom Boat? Do you have to fold them up do they let you keep them open. I am just worried about toting 2 small (just 2 and 3 mnths) back to the Hotel as the last trip Ds fell asleep every night as we were leaving, and had to wake him up to get on the bus to the YC.

Thank you so much for your quick response. We are definitely doing this based on all the info and what we've read in this thread.

Only thing worrying me now is the room renovations. When will they be doing Level 7? This could definitely affect the experience if they are doing it when we are planning on being there (October 5/6). Will be keeping an eye on this to see what happens.

Cheers

You're welcome! I will ask when I'm there next month if they know what floor they will start first. I was told that they will close off the entire floor when it's being renovated, but that may have changed.

Seeing WDWKOOK on many of the threads I frequent must have rubbed off on me. We had stayed at WL in October and while we LOVED the Lodge, we didn't love the rooms. And that was that... or so I thought.

We were just at the GF, which shares a bus with WL. On our way back from AK, the bus stopped at WL first. I said to my husband, "This is weird, but when we pulled into WL I thought, 'I wish we were staying here instead'," and he replied, "I was just thinking the same thing!!" I had gotten a bounceback email, so when we got back to the room we booked WL for our annual end-of-November trip for my son's birthday. :goodvibes

Unfortunately, no CL rooms were available with the bounceback. Are they really hard to get with a discount?

Welcome to the WL thread, bowbat and congratulations on booking for your DS's birthday!

You're too funny:rotfl:. I saw your post on the GF thread, but haven't replied yet. I feel the exact same way about GF. I get emotional about the CR when we aren't staying there and twice have switched to the CR from both YC/CL and Poly...mid-trip! So, I completely understand what you mean. I'm actually worried that this "feeling of longing" might happen to us on our summer trip. I have WL booked next month, but not in the summer. I'm afraid when I see it from the monorail or from a boat or pass by the entrance, I'll have that same feeling you had when your bus so RUDELY stopped there on your way back to the GF:rotfl:

CL rooms at WL actually aren't difficult to get at least with the military discount or AP, but I've never used a BB. Maybe they blocked CL from the BB? Is there a FL resident or AP rate yet for your dates? Those might be worth a try. Don't give up yet!

I just called today to switch our April reservation to the WL. I'm so excited but my Hubby is going to be even more excited when I tell him. He comes home SOON from his deployment and he has always wanted to stay at the WL. We went there 4 years ago for a Carriage Ride on our Anniversary and we both loved how awesome the resort was.
