This year we are thinking about trying the WL:dance3: We have stayed at POFQ and the POLY. My computer is very slow and it would take days to go through this thread. So if my questions have already been asked, please forgive me.
1) I already know once you check in you can use the facilites at the resort even if your room is not ready and check out you can use the same facilities for that day. My question, "Is there a changing area if yo want to use the pool?"
2) What is the highest floor for a woods view room? I did read to ask for a room away from the main lobby.

Thank yo and have a Magical Day:wizard:
Welcome, 4disneygenerations! There is a bathroom near the pool, but I've only been in it once and I can't recall if there was a shower and/or changing area in there:confused3. You could at least go into one of the stalls to change. Hopefully, someone else might recall if there was a shower in there.

The 7th floor is the Club Level floor, making the 6th floor the highest non-CL floor. In your request, you could just ask for a "high floor."

There are bathrooms near Roaring Fork, right across the hall from where you enter from the pool. They were fine for coming in wet for a quick restroom break, but small. I don't remember a shower. I do think you could easily dry off and use the HUGE bathroom near Whispering Canyon. There were good baby changing areas, lots of stalls and maybe even multiple vanities.
If you need a shower, go over to the VWL and use the health club space. Those are more like what you'd find in a locker room.

I was actually a little surprised by how small the bathroom near RF was... I believe 2 stalls and no shower. DD has a medical condition and it was very hard to make a stop in there to use the stalls. I am a fairly small person...she is only 7 and the stall was a tight fit for the two of us to be in.

Just wanted to check back in- my husband and I were there Feb 2-9 and had the most wonderful, peaceful trip! Our room was right around the corner from food court on the ground floor. At first I was disappointed cause I thought I would never want ground floor. But, I loved it! Our view was a pond, we had ducks outside our room daily and at night we could see the MK fireworks. We never usually sit outside our room or eat breakfast. This trip we did both, the food court was only few steps away making it too easy not to use and it was so quiet and peaceful we ended up spending alot of time sitting outside. I LOVE WL, we spent time in the lobby, beach area, Ft Wilderness, and riding the boats. We only went to parks 2 days , because we wanted to experience other things. We have 4 children (half are grown now) and for the past 18 yrs we have went to WDW yearly and have went to parks almost daily every trip and stayed all day. I loved this trip!:yay:

I read that the boat to MK starts 30 min before MK opening. Is this correct - then for regular 9am opening the boat starts at 8.30? If we have an ADR for 8am on a non EMH day, then no boat would be running at that time?

If we take the bus, do we end up at the TTC and not the MK entrance?

Thanks.

There is a resort boat that loops around CR, WL & FW that starts earlier. You can walk to MK from CR.

I also love this type of trip .... my DH and I really enjoy just relaxing and spending time at the resort.

I had to book a woodsview room with bunk beds and I wondered if they are only in a specific section? On page 1 of this thread I was checking out the descriptions of where the different woodsview rooms are so I wondered if I could request a certain area or if the rooms with bunk beds are only in a certain area.

Thank you to anyone who can help. I'm getting SO EXCITED! It's taking everything in me NOT to tell my hubby that I switched to the WL when I talk to him on the phone. In a few weeks I'll be able to tell him in person. It might be the first thing I say to him at the homecoming ceremony, :yay:.

That is correct, but the resort boat to Contemporary begins at 6:45. If you have plenty of time, take that boat and then use the monorail or walking path to reach MK. Otherwise, the bus takes you to the MK entrance, not TTC.

Bunk beds are scattered in all areas. Request whatever area you like that fits woods view.

Thanks so much for the replies.

Is the bus a dedicated WL-MK bus? Or does it stop along the way? And what time does the bus start from WL?

The bus from WL to MK is a dedicated bus. Once on the bus, it takes you no more than 5 minutes to get to MK. Plus the stop at MK is one of the closest ones to the entrance.

Hi, I was wondering how long does it take to get to Contemporary on the boat we have breakfast set up at Chef Mickey and want to know how much time I should give us to get there. Thank you in advance for the help.

The boat ride itself is pretty short, I can't remember if the boat stops at FW first in the morning. I'd give it 30 - 45 min for wait time plus possible stop at FW first.
The boat ride itself is no more then 5 -10 min. I've never timed it, but love the boats. A fun & relaxing way to get there. If we get to CR early, we just stroll around the grounds, check out their CS offerings and look at the shops :goodvibes

According to my Trip Wizard app, the boat ride from WL to CR is 21 minutes by boat, 26 minutes WL to MK & monorail to CR or 4 minutes by car. I won't swear by these times but they are usually close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades. :rolleyes1

It's really convenient, isn't it? Many guests forget about the bus and most of the time, it's actually faster than the boat.

BTW, your Trip Wizard reminded me of a Seinfeld episode when Jerry gives his father the "Wizard" calculator and all Jerry's dad wants to use it for is to calculate tips there in "Del Boca Vista."

:confused3
Well, I hope CM was exaggerating! I'd hate to see it turned into a 5 star. We've enjoyed our stay and will look forward to seeing what they do with the rooms. I do agree they need updating, although I really have no complaints.
The CMs here are great. We were down at the pool today, (after our morning Segway tour at FW- Fantastic) and was talking to a lifeguard, saying how dissapointed I was that men were power washing the pool area in the middle of the day. It was my last day, and I had ben looking forward to enjoying the pool for the afternoon. He agreed they shouldn't be power washing at that time, and went to his boss, who made a phone call, 10 min later power washing stoped, wow! I was impressed.

WCC dinner tonight, now packing. We have to be up early because we're Flag Family tomorrow :yay: Then check out, leave our luggage with Bell SErvice, and head to Kona for breskfast before we hit the road, for our next stop, Ft. Lauderdale to take care of some family business before flying home Saturday.

We are headed to the WL at the end of August this year. I won the OMDD sweepstakes and it's our first choice. This will be the first WL stay for my kids and only their second trip to WDW! We fortunately were just there last August for their first trip. I know they would love to be the flag family one morning. I just started to read about this recently so don't know too much. Any tips are appreciated please.

Congratulations on winning! I've been entering every morning and it's great to now "know" someone who actually won:goodvibes

Make sure that you ask for FF availability when you check-in. They will look and see if any of your days are available. Good luck! What am I talking about - you're brimming with good luck:thumbsup2
