Thank you so much for the bus information! It makes such a big difference if you are using an ECV.
You're welcome. I like that both the CR and WL are the first stops. After waiting for a bus to arrive, you don't feel the need to rush to the bus as much since the buses arrive empty. They also have a bus "monitor" who is at the bus stop during the morning. They monitor the crowd level, update guests and answer questions. They would be more than happy to assist you and your ECV.

Disclaimer: The bus stop monitor was there when I was last at WL in August. I'll be there in 2 weeks and can post here whether they still have one there in the morning.

I am anxiously awaiting the publication of the October park hours and dates of MNSSHP. Can't wait to send my ADR spreadsheet to the IPO at the WL to make my reservations. Work has been a bear lately and even though this trip is 7 months out, it gives me something to look forward too.

Wish I had one of those yummy smores cupcakes from roaring forks this afternoon.

Finally got my ticker updated on my signature.

No bus monitor there the week of March 2-9 2012, but that is not peak season. They had one there in June of 2011.

I always say that planning the trip is half the fun. It's a great distraction and does make the time between trips pass faster. I like your ticker:thumbsup2

Is this the cupcake you'd like?:rolleyes1

Thank you. Were you there last week?

Is there a mug refill station at the main WL pool?
Next to the pool is the Roaring Fork Quick Serve where the refill station is located. It's very close and easy to get to on the ground floor. The entrance is on the right in this photo behind the umbrella:

I stayed at WL a year ago last January and they were really wonderful with my ECV. I really couldn't ask for more. We fell in love with the resort and it was my husband's first choice for this year. It costs a bit more than a moderate, but so worth the extra money. We are also doing Deluxe Dinning and you can't beat the location for a lot of signature restaurants.

It is a bit more, but well worth it. And, you have that nicely paved trail to FW for your ECV;). Personally, I think WL has the most amazing theme and setting - so relaxing:cloud9:

Have you made all your ADRs? What do you have booked? BTW, you need a nice, shiny ticker:thumbsup2

I have all ADRs with the exception of Dining with an Imagineer. I can't book that for a couple of more days. This is a graduation trip for my Granddaughter. There will be four of us, husband, daughter, granddaughter and myself.

Day one: Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table

Day two: Lunch at Les Chefs de France Dinner at Narcoossee's (May change to Yachtsmen)

Day three: Lunch at Yak & Yeti Dinner at Jiko

Day four: Lunch at Tokyo Dinning Afternoon Tea (Will cancel tea if I get Dinning with an Imagineer) Dinner at Flying Fish

Day five: Lunch at San Angel Inn Dinner at California Grill

Day six: Lunch Dinning With an Imagneer (If I get it) Dinner at Fulton's Crab House

Day seven: Lunch at Rainforest Cafe at AK Dinner at Citricos

Day eight: Lunch Hollywood Brown Derby Dinner at Narcoossee's

Day nine: Lunch at Teppan Edo Dinner at Artist Point

Day ten: Breakfast at Whispering Canyon then on to three nights at the Dark Side

I made a ticker, but I do not know how to attach it?

What a wonderful trip you have planned! Congrats to your granddaughter! :cheer2:

Hi! So on our check out day from RP last summer, we got up super early, checked out and stored our luggage and got to the gates of IOA an hour before opening. If I recall correctly, they let resort guests in early...

I can't decide between doing that or asking for a late check out and rushing back to get our stuff and check out after we're done at HP.

We went straight back to WWoHP and got in line for Forbidden Journey. If you have young kids, be warned that it is an INTENSE ride. My DS (now 9) did not ride it at all. My DD (now 7) did ride but was freaked out! They did love Flight of the Hippogriff.

I have a question about the Hippogriff coaster. I know it is like Goofy's, but even so,with my bad back I have to avoid any coasters that have that pause at the bottom of an incline and then lurch suddenly up. Does that happen on FotH? I watched youtube videos of that and Goofy and it seemed like Goofy's did have a pause and FotH didn't.

I also recommend getting in the Olivander's line first if you can wait for Forbidden Journey a little later. I did wait 40 minutes for FJ later on in the morning and it wasn't bad at all. Olivander's only lets 20 or so guests in at a time and it's TINY. It is worth it once, so I would do that befor FJ. It will get crowded (wall-to-wall people) crowded later in the morning/early afternoon, but if you plan well, you can see all of WWoHP before noon. We had lunch at Mythos last summer, but the summer before that, we had breakfast at THe Three Broomsticks. They also have lunch. I don't know if you can make a reservation there or not.

My plan is to go straight to Ollivander's and then go to FJ. No kids, so no worries on the scary front. However, because of my back I will just be going thru the queue on FJ. I want to take lots of pictures. As for meals, we are definitely going to try for a res at Mythos for dinner the night before. We ate there in 2002 and loved it. We will probably try to eat mid-morning at the 3 Broomsticks.

Butterbeer lines get LONG! The candy store gets packed, too. So the earlier you get there the better.

Thanks! I heard that the lines are a little shorter at the Hog's Head Tavern. (I also want to use my AAA discount so will avoid the carts) Did you try the frozen version?

Hope this helped! Have fun!!!
And as far as the heat goes, drink tons of water and I try to bring a small squirt bottle that I can refill in the water fountains. Comfy shoes are a must, too. I like crocs or teva mush sandals. I don't care for sneakers in the heat....

Yes, it did thanks! I have a pair of Nike Straprunners but think I am going to have to get another pair for back-up. I also don't like wearing sneakers in the parks in the summer. Any comments on the Royal Pacific? Is there any place to get decent coffee before running to the park for early entry? How about late evening snacks?
Thanks again for your tips!

Does anyone else have this problem? It seems that if I take too long writing a reply, DIS logs me off before I am done! (are they trying to tell me something?) :)

Okay the cupcake looks awesome. What is the filling inside the cupcake......:)
Here are all the luscious details:

S’mores Cupcake: The S’mores Cupcake is made of graham cracker-flavored cake with chocolate inside. The cake is perfectly moist, and not too dry. The cupcake is topped with melted browned marshmallow on top with a consistency that’s more on par with regular frosting than it is marshmallow. It tastes like marshmallow, though, so all is well. On top of it all is a piece of Hershey’s chocolate, which is the finishing touch on a really unique, and really delicious, cupcake! To our knowledge, this cupcake is only available at Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.

YUMMY! We just LOVE Tokyo Dining. We always make it our first and last ADR. The service and food is fantastic. Have you ever tried Tusker House? It's my DH's new favorite and we much prefer it over Y&Y and RC. Recently, they added characters to lunch, but dinner is still without characters.

Does anyone else have this problem? It seems that if I take too long writing a reply, DIS logs me off before I am done! (are they trying to tell me something?) :)
That's never happened to me and I frequently stop mid-post and go back to posting at a later time. Could it have something to do with your ISP?

2 days till my first stay at the WL ..
How exciting! I bet you won't get much sleep tonight and tomorrow. Do you have any WL ADRs made?

We'll be checking-in in 13 days. We like to start the visit off right by having breakfast at WCC after we check-in. I always enjoy "MT Wallet" - she's a very sarcastic server who always teases DH:thumbsup2

Helloooo to all the regulars from the BW and CR threads I usually see. :) Visiting here for a friend who is headed to the WL in April. Is there an equivalent to the Hess station at the BW that is close to the WL? Is there anything even within taxi range? Or is the best bet to use Garden Grocer or WeGoShop? They will not have a car and are using DME.

Thanks!

There is a Hess within taxi range. If you go out of the WL

cross over world drive, pass the POLY, go until the road ends and hang a left, I think the name of that road is Floridian Way, there is a Hess station on the right just a little ways down.

The only other thing I might offer up is to look at prices for Tiffany Town Car. I flew in late once and didn't want to mess with magical express so I took Tiffany Town Car and they will make a 30 minute stop at Publix grocery on your way to the resort. They offer one way and roundtrip so someone could use it on their way to the resort and use DME to go back.

 Nice to have you over here, psac! On the first page, I have photos of some of the grocery items available at the Mercantile.
