We are staying at BWV 10\12 - 10\19 and have our Magic Bands.

I called a few weeks back and the MC made it sound like the Magic Bands were forthcoming but never stated it. Then about 10 days later, another CM kind of gave me the wink\nudge treatment when I asked about getting our Tickets and such. A few days later I went into MDE and looked at my profile and there was magically an option to customize my Magic Bands!

It was like midnight on Friday and I picked colors for my family and figured I'd review\confirm with them the next morning. Next morning came and they were already on their way to my front door! Had a UPS tracking number and everything.

I like the idea of being able to schedule FP+ but dislike that you only get 3 FP+ at ONE Park. We are Park Hoppers and would like to maybe have a FP+ in the evening for Soarin' after a day at DHS.

Oh, you make me laugh AirGoofy. I am a lawyer and I totally get it. Several years ago I had my DD, niece and nephew with me on a bus from Magic Kingdom to BWV. We were having a nice time and the gentleman sitting next to me asked how it was traveling with 3 kids. I explained that my niece and nephew were just coming over for a slumber party while my sister and BIL went out for a nice dinner and adult park touring. He asked if I was an elementary school teacher. I confessed that I was a lawyer. He looked at me shocked and said "you can't be, you're too nice."

(And I did read your white text -- always read the fine point!)

Thanks. I like to throw a little humor in there every now and then to see if people are paying attention. I have a lawyer in the family and a couple of lawyer friends as well. People can be nice or jerks, regardless of the profession.

I am all about the pre-packing and agree you should start now.

I am now 30 days out for the October trip and then am going to the GF the Saturday after Thanksgiving. I will likely not unpack everything :)

I have lost this discussion with DW. She has suitcases out and is packing and we are still 10 days away. (We're at OKW and cheating in BWV again.). I also travel and have my to go bag packed, so I realize it is a lot easier for me to pack quickly. It does add to the excitement around here.

Just checking to see if the sofa bed in Boardwalk Villas are comfortable?
Most sofa beds are not.....
We are 4 adults.......
Thx

We split stayed between BLT and BWV last year... In my opinion, the sleeper sofa at Boardwalk was much better than the one at BLT.

We were in a BWV studio a few years ago and I slept on the fold out bed. It is not as comfortable as the regular bed (and, I believe it is just a full size -- not queen size -- but it was just me in the bed). We are kind of commando park goers, so when we're hitting the beds for a nap or night time sleep, we're pretty darn tired. Thus, I slept fine and was raring to go the next day. The fold out didn't have the obnoxious bar across the middle of the bed like a lot of pull out sofas do.

If you are expecting it to feel like a bed, you will not be happy. If you're not really a Princess and the Pea, you'll probably be fine.

22 days out until BWI and I ordered new suitcases. Tomorrow I start packing the carry on. MB, photopass+, MNSSHP tickets, AP, and laminated copies of ADR, FP+. I am hoping for a little room for clothes!

We are staying the same days at BWV! I have Magic Bands - but the FastPass+ site doesn't recognize my husband, son, or my tickets - only my daughter...she is the only child on the reservation. I can see them on the bands and cards site, but when I go to FastPass+ they aren't there. I have a couple of calls into Disney to try to fix it :( I so want to use FastPass+! :)

I'm sure they'll get it fixed for you! In the meantime, heed my wisdom re: the FP+ selections:rotfl:
My thoughts on DW playing with FP+

So we needed a little bump and I needed to see that I am now under 1 month to go! :cool1:
It's getting closer:thumbsup2

8 days for us...i started packing yesterday. one of the things i'm most looking forward to is standing near the bakery's smell-o-vision vent, just soaking all five senses in the wonder of the BW :cloud9:

I've been trying to search for this but cant find it... I know at one point I saw a map outlining the easiest/quickest route to walk from BWI to DHS...can anyone post it?
Thanks

Walt Disney World says it will begin stationing lifeguards at its largest hotel pools during all operating hours and then locking them down overnight, six months after a young boy drowned while a pool was unguarded.

Disney says its largest and most popular "feature" pools will begin opening at either 7 a.m. or 9 a.m. and closing at 11 p.m. Lifeguards will be on duty at all times while the pools are open.

But guests will no longer be permitted to swim in the feature pools after hours. Disney plans to install fences around any of those pools that are not already gated, a process that will begin in the coming months as hotels roll through their regular renovation cycles.

Only smaller and unguarded "quiet" pools at some hotels will remain accessible at all hours.

Disney has about two dozen hotels and time-share resorts across its sprawling property.

You're amazing Kook! Right there with up to the minute news. This won't really affect my use of the pools then and I'm happy.

I will start packing this weekend.
To go along with your favorite smells - I love the sounds of the Boardwalk - the music in the background, the boats out on the lake, the bikes on the boards of the Boardwalk.

I will love to see those creepy kid chairs in the lobby! LOL
