I will find out for you today if at all possible. We are going to the pool this afternoon and I will go to Community Hall.

Just ate a multigrain croissant on the waterfront from Boardwalk Bakery. My view.

Nice pic! Jealous!

Thanks for the tip! I didn't know about the preferred studios over Village Green- that is exactly the sort of suggestion I was looking for. Thanks so much!! :goodvibes

You're welcome, anytime. That's what we're here for. :) enjoy your trip!

Hello all! I am usually found on the AKL board but will be down for a weekend with some former disney brides as one is pregnant and we are having a shower. We are in a 1bd room ..what are the views? TIA

Do you have it booked already? What category? Is it through DVC or cash? That will help us explain. :)

We have a 1bedroom cash booked..standard view

I ask because a standard view at AKL is usually a pool view

A cash booked standard view is actually a pool/garden view.

Just wanted to post that we stayed there last week in a deluxe club-level room above the Boardwalk Bakery.

Best evening balcony view at WDW, bar none.
(as well as the variety of restaurant smells throughout the day)

Great Club-level staff at the lounge! Special thanks to Anita, Peter, Lorenzo, & a few others whose names escape me right now, but they're all great!

Tip for club level folks: if you return to the lounge during mid-day... they don't really serve any kind of lunch foods then.... stop at the hot-dog or pizza stand on the boardwalk below and bring it up to the lounge (assuming you have access to the lounge, that is)

Last year, the long hallway walks were a PITA, but we were more used to it this year. This place REALLY needs another elevator.

Spent time at both the Clown pool and quiet pool.

I'll post more later.

I'm going there Deluxe Club Level also end of August. I said I want a LARGE balcony. do not care about being close to Innkeeper's Room. They recommended room 3257 but I have called them MANY times and still can't place where it is...they said it is between Flying fish and sweet shop??? I said "is it right ABOVE sweet shop?" They said no...in between...What does that mean???? Help!!!!! Anybody know where room 3257 is?? I think above bakery sounds great!!

Did you speak to them on the phone? I have requests/questions re: my room/stay @ BWI in the Garden Suites & I tried to e-mail them & didn't have a great amount of success.

I'm looking at the different setups of the Garden Cottages online.
Some say they only hold a max of 3 guests.
Some say they have a King & pull out Queen sofa
Another variation is 2 Queen Beds?
I'd really love a balcony, & I heard only 3 of these have balcony's.
if anyone has any info re; these...I'd really appreciate it, because I feel really confused!!

Yes, I have the direct line to the club level room. I'm driving them crazy because they all say something different. And if they are not there, you get routed to a central club level answering center which is in Grand Floridian. I have not gotten a solid answer so I can't say it's a good number to call. We have 6 people in our family so garden suites are too small for us but look adorable. I know u can request rooms (say with balcony ) but not guaranteed. We stayed here before and really enjoyed being right on boardwalk with balcony. People watching fun. Really depends what you are looking for.

Can someone please tell me if the pull out couches in the 1 bedroom villas are comfortable enough for an adult to sleep in?

I have a 1 bedroom booked but my dh is now telling me that 6 nights on a pullout if we need to share it with one of our children (never know if they will sleep alone in a hotel or not) is not doable.

Also, were the BWV rooms recently refurbished? I am reading someone's recent trip report and my goodness everything looks brand spankin' new! I also heard they will be replacing the scratchy bedspreads with duvets. Have they done that yet?

Thanks!!

Leaving AKL & heading to BWI for our first stay there - so excited!

blushbrush, here's a thread I started last year which digs into locations of the club-level deluxe rooms:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2861608

I know that of the 10 deluxe rooms, 6 of them are over the Boardwalk Bakery (x229/x227/x225) but I'm still not certain of the room-numbers and locations of the other 4 (in the vicinity above Seashore Sweets) x257 sounds about right, and I think the other pair is x259. But I'm not certain. Can anyone else clarify?

We have only stayed in the deluxe rooms above the Boardwalk Bakery (not x259/x257)

If you want to be closer to the lounge, get the 4th floor... if you want a slightly bigger balcony get the 3rd floor.

Our experience is that the sofabeds are comfortable even for adults, plus you can request an 'egg crate' mattress topper which increases the comfort.

The BWV rooms were last refreshed in 2009. We were there this spring and our room was in very good shape although the old bedspreads were still there.

A cash booked standard view is actually a pool/garden view.

As said, that would be a pool/garden view. Popular requests would be the main pool/close to the elevators, quiet pool (closer to DHS if you want to walk), or canal view, which would be on the waterway down to DHS and may have a view of TOT. Enjoy!!

The deluxe rooms are 5 on 3rd floor & 5 on the 4th floor. The ones one the 4th floor near the lounge are 4229,4225, & 4227. The other one is near the door going out and one in the corner of outside the door of the innkeeper's that one is over Flying Fish. Has a a good size balcony. Do not know know about the 3rd floor rooms. MHO

We have stayed in the 4227 & 4229 and loved them. Balconies were okay not huge but big enough to sit out on them. :goodvibes

4261 is the BWI CL room with the HUGE balcony right over Flying Fish and around the corner from the CL CM desk. It's a great room, but not deluxe CL. Maybe the one across the hall is deluxe CL?

Here are a few photos of 4261 from our 2011 stay! (It's above and just to the right of the Flying Fish sign.)
