Does anyone know the square footage of the BWI Deluxe Club Level Rooms? I've seen different #'s on different websites & I'm just curious..

I don't know the exact square footage, but I would put it somewhere around "nicely big." . I think they do vary because the entryways/hallways vary in them, which is useless space, but included in sqftage. We stayed in one a few years back and really liked it. Having the extra "hump" felt like having two rooms and almost double the space.

Yes, we got preferred view for both. I was just confused because when we rented from AKV, we were able to request a specific view/savannah. When we rented for BWV last January, I didn't make a request and we ended up with a great view. I didn't know if I should/could request a certain pool/view this year so that we get something similar-- we were overlooking the quiet DVC pool. I don't necessarily need to be there again, I've just seen horror stories of people paying for "preferred" but then still getting a view of the parking lot- I do not want that to happen!! We really enjoy sitting on our balcony and relaxing, so was trying to ease a bit of my nerves

They really shouldn't have given any parking lot rooms to anyone with a preferred view. That should be standard all the way. You could request a pool or canal view, which is basically what the preferred views are. For the studio, you could request Village Green, which is the area above the Wyland gallery. That whole area is Preferred studios only, and gives a partial BW view from the side of the balconies. Good luck!

Boardwalk is so fun! I love ESPN Club, Jelly Rolls, Atlantic Dance Hall and The Big River Brewery. Not to wish summer away but 29 days can't get here fast enough!

Glad you decided to book a split stay - I think you'll really enjoy BWI CL! Unlike BC, BWI deluxe has the two TVs and you know you'll have a view of the Boardwalk - wonderful! In addition, the CMs at BWI CL are just outstanding and the lounge is so comfortable. We've only stayed in standard CL rooms at BWI, but we have friends who booked deluxe (family of 6!) and enjoyed it.

We love the MK area/Epcot area split - allows us to take advantage of easy transportation to MK when we're in the MK area and easy transportation to Epcot/DHS when in the Epcot area. Just split between Poly/BWI in January of this year, and BC/CR last October. Loved it!

Just switched to BWI for the Princess Half Marathon weekend next year!!! Our dates are Feb. 20-23.

We initially booked Poly because the monorail transportation to the race would have been great, but bailed due to construction issues. A couple weeks ago, I posted that we'd stick with Poly even with construction, but now that it looks like the volcano pool might be down beginning in January, we'll be safe and come back to BWI. In the end, I think BWI CL will be a great fit, even though I'm a little uncertain about race transportation.

Can someone tell me about the movies by the pool area at night? Do they do any marshmallow roasting etc? When we stayed at the Poly we took advantage of the movies on the beach and it was a nice way to unwind... just wondering how it is at the Boardwalk. Any pics?

We are staying at BWV Oct. 12 - 19th...that's right, the F&W Festival!!! We have a Pool\Garden view. So I have 2 questions.
1. Any advice on room requests? Let m know what room requests you'd make and why.
2. We can do the online check-in next week (60 day mark) . I've always made my room requests via the phone. Just curious if anyone thinks that it will make a difference whether or not I make a request via the phone or online check-in.

I made my room requests online last year and followed up with a phone call before check in. That worked for me!
I am requesting the quiet pool view for our stay in October. It is closer to DHS and transportation plus I like the view better!
